Thanks for showing us how you did this..mine is a 93 and I want to Bob it at the rear spring mounts...my plan is to put the tank in the bed and use it until I can afford a smaller tank...my suburban looks more like a truck after some modifications..thanks again.
Thanks for showing what you did. Also, congratulations on being 1 of few who actually use the correct term 'jury rig'. I spent lots of time on sailboats and get tired of hearing about this guy named Jerry. If people are going to use somebody's name at least use MacGyver.
Not sure. The person responsible for draining it would tell you it felt like 90 gallons 😂. My other suburban was a 40 gallon and they seem similar from a distance but I’m really not certain.
OK... that was a total waste of time. Didn't show how to do any of the install, o ring, lock ring, sending unit, tank straps ect ect.Seems like a nice guy ,but if you never did a gas tank before this video will not help you!
Ironically I have tried doing videos both ways.... step-by-step or just show what the problem was and the resolution. Seems like with the step-by-step there is always commenters who complain it showed too much obvious stuff like removing a lock ring, and was boring. No matter which method is chosen you cannot make everyone happy lol.

Thanks.... I read a lot of Patrick O’Brian years ago so nautical terms are ingrained in my brain lol... I also hear a lot about this guy ‘Jerry’
Was there a baffle in that tank? Mine is lose and floating around inside. I plan to ignore it.
There was the standard ‘tray’ style baffle that the pump sits down in, I assume to keep fuel around the pump under hard motion.
is that the 40 gallon tank? im about to drop the tank in mine it looks like that but i dont know if its 40 or 31 lol
