Try the Choppo 120 Greg. Been fishing the Delta my whole life & im by no means a pro ha however we do have a few mutual fishing buddies as well. But we never met. The 90 gets bites! The 120 gets bites and the BIG bites. My boy caught his pb on the 120 size. Thats all I throw is the 120 on the delta. The 90 on lakes. The 100 never lol.

When bass are eating bluegill, it’s hard to go wrong with the Jackall Gantarell Jr. It’s the perfect size to where dinks don’t mess with but still tons of eats from decent fish to big fish. One of my all time confidence baits!
I need to throw mine more, haven't put in much time at all yet.... no bites or a follower.

I grew up 1 mile from Big Break Marina. I essentially grew up fishing in and around that marina. We had a little tin boat in a slip there when I was a teenager and we fished there A LOT…. Would be really fun to head back out there no that I’m kayak fishing.

Same thing happened to me multiple times with several reels I had with a detachable side plate for the brakes. Last time was on a hookset. I now buy my reels with the side plate that stays connected to the reel frame from now on.

I had a side panel fly off when casting & I could see it because it was red & was able to recover it. Made me very aware of it after that! Nice day out thanks for sharing.
I've seen a lot of people lose side plates and It's heart breaking! lol...I'm still not sure how they come off like that...
I went out to little lake on Thursday, caught 3 nice largies 4 nice rock bass (my first time catching rock bass) a big sunny, and 3 giant pickerel breaking my pb pickerel twice with 2 almost 4 lbers it was incredible! When you come back to NY I'd be honored to take you to that lake its about 45 - an hour away from seneca falls ultra clear water in a lake with a max depth of 28 feet so shallow water fishing too!

Another great fishing day with Greg. Thanks for your time. I was wondering when you were going to start punching. You kept showing all the grass beds and I was saying "what is taking him so long?" Ha! I do love the topwater bite though.
I have also lost the side plate on my favorite real once. I heard something hit the boat then the water and just before I casted I noticed the side plate was gone. Keep up the great work.

Just curious- it may be an east coast thing but a lot of the tourneys and big fish in general are caught on large plastic worms Texas or Carolina rigged- it’s a hateful boring technique but it works for bigguns; ever thought about trying it out once you’ve got a limit instead of a drop shot which generally works but on smaller fish? Just my two cents- keep making awesome content, best part of my day seeing that notification ding

When I fished Saturday, I caught 2 hawgs deep in the pads in 1ft of water lol they did not want to come past the pad line for whatever reason.
I have caught some nice fish this summer already on my Gilly. I’ve caught them swimming it and my biggest came throwing it weightless Necko style

Dang, losing that side reel is a bit of a bummer. I was camping in the Eastern sierra three years ago and the campers next to me asked to borrow a reel because they dropped their entire spinning reel in the river. I have no idea how it happened but they were bummed and i let them borrow one of my poles that i didnt mind getting ruined. I usually bring three and one fly rod. Luckily they returned it in one piece. Great video as always GB. The action on the gilly is insane. Catch you on the next one. Tight lines.

Bro, These real fishing vids are awesome. your bait choices influence me a lot. I have done really well last couple seasons on a pit boss like that and summer craw. throughout this year, I'd say a pit boss and a fluke and a popper have been my most successful baits. That berkley bullet you always use, the transparent with blue and darker top-----that caught me 3 pb's and got me a top 10 at chickamauga hobie.
I bought that bait because I saw you use it on the delta, and it caught me two 6lb class fish (21.5 and 22.25 inches), and two 5lb class (20 and 20.5). four fish over 20 inches over 2 days. I ened up getting dq'd after tourney cuz i posted some pics and didnt even realize I didnt wear my pfd day 2.....but I just wanted you to know...I wouldn't have even bought that popper if I didnt see you catch monsters with it. I call that color "the greg blanchard color" lol. even when I was telling people about the tourney, I said "you seen the popper greg blanchard uses? the bullet? thats the color". So thanks for your awesome vids trying out dif baits and putting in work. It has really helped me in my prefishing and bait selection for certain conditions.
Bro! I love those little aggressive bass. I took a trip to my local spot and had aggressive little fish taking too water all day. Including a couple of bluegill hit my top water bait!

great day Brother .🤠 deff.a nice day on the Delta ....sucks about your reel......couple months ago on a hook set I accidently kick a spinning rod combo overboard I spent 30-40 mins trying to snag it with no luck 😭😭 ( only kinda good thing is ) it was a Low End 6'6'' combo nothing expensive .....under $75 I guess it was A good excuse to buy the 7'2'' rod I was planning to purchase LoL Tight LInes Greg always Enjoy the videos

Cheap insurance while I'm fishing Greg I always bring my fishing magnet with me.
You might have been able to retrieve the side plate..I use a short 15' line on mine.
That punch reel losing its side plate is a real bummer! Hopefully you can get a replacement plate from the parts department at Abu Garcia. I liked the look of that black raspberry and black thing. And it was a workhorse for you.

I started to put some electrical tape on my side plates for my DCs just to prevent that
