I fished a 65 lb striper with a 20 lb P-Line, and I think it's the best fishing line in the world. No one paid me to say that. I just love fishing, same as you.
ive watched about 3 videos of yours and have taken my fishing skill to new and high levels, just the simple and even non descriptive tips at times are a HUGE help. just to night i was under a bridge on the Schuylkill river Pa, its a hard to reach secret spot of mine, and had landed 3 15+lbs Flatheads and 2 stripers @ about 10-12lbs with just using and doing the tips you say. im now a subscriber and sharer! you kind sir and your boys are fookn badass
I thought the bait suffocates when You hook it through both lips or at least in my experience it does . And do u free spool it when the striper initially runs with the bait? I feel as I get a better a hook set by letting it run with bait for a 5-10 count then clicking into gear
pigs get fat...HOGS GET SLAUGHTERED...unbelievable that he doesnt use his skills and platform to conserve and push CATCH n RELEASE.... YOUR SPONSORS ARE ROLLIN THEIR EYES AT YA, use your skills to conserve...PLEASE
Digging in the archives for striper videos lol your most recent vid was solid and I figured those pics were from this one. Was this near prospect? Do you do guided trips for striper by chance? I see you with a lot of guides but I figured you did them aswell. I wanna learn more about current breaks and flats with the tide changes etc. I'm just self learning right now but insight from other anglers is always appreciated.
Thank you Nick for the great video. Makes me want to get out there right now and fish for some of these stripers. I fish for them a lot around the Discovery Bay region. Those baits look killer. It looks like they walk wider than my DWB's. Who carries them?
Thanks bro, LOL great name! The baits are not for sale yet, they will be available soon though. I will post them up on my FaceBook as well as in the video description. I've only fished my buddies DWB once so I don't really recall how wide it walked but Tyler's baits glide wide! Tyler's baits are a bit longer and more narrow than the DWB's but each bait has it's place and time. I just happen to prefer these now after crushing these giants!
Another great video. Lots of good information. I like your videos cause you are willing to give a lot of information. To many videos these days try to not give up any information or they are yelling and screaming at the camera. Keep up the great work.
Great video brotha! I watch your videos all the time where are you catching all these monsters in the delta? im there every weekend and we're hitting stripers from 18-26.. no hogs yet.
It's about targeting ledges near flats right off of the main rivers. Bigger baits Will also get you the better fish. Giants can be found anywhere on the Delta but on or near the Sac is always a good bet.
Man, I miss California stripers. Dad was stationed at Travis way back in the early 80's and going out to the Monte Vista Sloughs was a regular weekend pastime for us. Oh, well. North Dakota pike are almost as much fun.
What an epic day on the water Nick! Im new to boat fishing but have been fishing rio vista for a while now. Can you tell me around what area you guys were in? Doesnt have to be specific :) just a general area that I can fish myself.
you guys are badass I was born in Fairfield California grilled fish in Northern California stripers sturgeon what not anyways you guys are bad ass I'm stuck in Southern California but I'll be making my way back can't wait to hit the Delta Sacramento anyways once again you guys are badass
Another cool video IF! But can you do more shore fishing videos with live bait. Most of us watching don't have a boat and are limited to the shore. I know a shore fishing video sounds boring but that's what most of us do.
@@InformativeFisherman I'm late to this thread but Liberty Cut in the back of Vacaville. You can boat in or if the people want bank fishing, you can bank fish there too. I'd LOVE to see that video done! Stripper and sturgeon
My friend Tyler makes them, they will be for sale soon! They are similar to the old school east coast plugs and Delta Wood Bombers. Lots of good wooden baits out there!
hey I just got into striper fishing, I'm always at the delta near stockton. I have a 7'11" okuma swim bait rod with 65 lb braid line paired with bass pro revolution reel, id would love to use that top water lure! can u send me info on where I can get it?
Anybody have suggestions for a round baitcast reel i can use for throwing lures and drifting live bait with? I fish stripers from shore that way on the annual spring spawning run up our rivers here in GA. I'm going to be using about an 8 ft medium rod and 20lb braid with a 30lb fluorocarbon leader. Btw, shout out to IF for adding a piece of Atlanta in the intro!
Maybe that's why they work so good then, BWB makes some great baits! I'm thinking about asking Tyler to make a 8" version, that would be beast! I fished a Sinister once it was wider and shorter than Tyler's, sick bait though. I'm thinking about trying some of the smaller models he has out. Have you done any good on those?
***** I have faired well with them and I have seen some monster fish caught on the sinister 5 and 6. 30+ lbers. I haven't been able to use them as of lately cause been putting in long hours at work. Hoping to get out this weekend for a topwater session. Got them all lined up and ready to go. Was hoping the 4 I have on order made it here by the weekend but doesn't look like it. Before I forget, always enjoy your videos. Good stuff.
Right on, I like the 6" baits too when hog hunting. Lots of big fish in the system right now and they are crushing glide baits too! Thanks bro, appreciate the feedback!
I normally don't hate on vids like this, but I'm hating right now. Only because im jealous, but good job you guys massacred those stripers. I would of been going crazy if i were to catch something that big.
You keep one at max! let the rest go for the rest of us. CATCH and RELEASE...."INFORMATIVE FISHERMAN?...Ive caught hundreds of Stripers in our region, everyone was released...every one!! you must not be a hog...how can you give instructional videos while keeping all those fish....serioius dude..wtf?
You guys are pigs for killing those big stripers, even after you complained about the meat on big fish not tasting good. WTF. Catch and release, dude. We don't have many stripers left.
We let all over 15lbs go, the Striper population is massive in the Delta. We have been catching them like this for the last 10 seasons with no issues. the population is absolutely fine and all of the meet was put to good use delicious.
Charles Waltner stfu Walter fukn cry baby, i think if you actually tried to catch a striper you'd find them easy, instead of bashing this good man. you need to take you ass home and watch your VHS recordings of Bill Dance bloopers . . . .tard!

I think around $40 Yeah send me a message on FaceBook and I will hook you up with him.
Hey Nick, just saw this video. Do you have any info on how to buy Tyler’s lure now?
Another great video. Lots of good information. I like your videos cause you are willing to give a lot of information. To many videos these days try to not give up any information or they are yelling and screaming at the camera. Keep up the great work.
What pound test you use

I think it's great how they have an acoustic version of Automobile by Eazy-E playing in the background.
You're good lol, first one to catch that!
awsome bro!!! what kind of top water lures are you using. those are like delta wood bombers
Thanks bro! Yes they are similar, the guy Tyler in the video is making them and will have some ready to sell soon!
Let me know when, id like to try them out. did i hear one of your boys say they dont have a rattle??
Man, I miss California stripers. Dad was stationed at Travis way back in the early 80's and going out to the Monte Vista Sloughs was a regular weekend pastime for us. Oh, well. North Dakota pike are almost as much fun.
Speaking of North Dakota, do you have any pike or walleye videos, or any plans to make them?
Ok thanks for the info. Is it online if it is for sale?
What an epic day on the water Nick! Im new to boat fishing but have been fishing rio vista for a while now. Can you tell me around what area you guys were in? Doesnt have to be specific :) just a general area that I can fish myself.
Liberty island
That guy Tyler works at the hockey rink in Ripon I think right?!
Are Tyler's lures out & what are they called?

Im fishing in Las Vegas's Lake Mead with somewhat striper action. i need a good lure for top water. what would be a good one?
Another cool video IF! But can you do more shore fishing videos with live bait. Most of us watching don't have a boat and are limited to the shore. I know a shore fishing video sounds boring but that's what most of us do.

Abu Garcia Ambassedeur C4
Looks exactly like the delta wood bombers.
More like a Bernzy Howdy, longer and thinner.
***** more exactly like the DWB than the Bernzy. I have 6 of the DWB and the bass color and pearl white is exactly the same.
Maybe that's why they work so good then, BWB makes some great baits! I'm thinking about asking Tyler to make a 8" version, that would be beast! +Charles Waltner, the ones they kept were not big fish.
+Charles Waltner your not educated on what your talking about... I live on the river and let me tell you there is NO problem in the striper population
There are plenty of striper left in the delta and if you didnt know striped bass aren't native to the west coast.
looks fun I wish I can a boil like that one day..nice catch guys!
Nice vid guys!!
