Really nice video ❤btw if your hair still neees hydration you should definitely try Christophe robin - the prickly pear line . It’s pricey but tham that line is sooo good. Tbh I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday because it’s giving so much but yeah I really like it.

@@sefjung99 hmm it’s hard to tell, I feel like I have low porosity fine hair in the sense that my hair doesn’t always absorb the products well. It depends what your goal is, are you looking for softer hair, less frizz or more moisturized etc? I could better guide you based on your goals!

How often do you wash your hair? To feel clean I had to wash it twice, and used more than a quarter size. I go 3 days between wash.
I probably wash my hair every 3 to 4 days as well, depending on the time of year!

I’ve been using Function of Beauty for the past 2 years and it’s formulated for your specific hair type and you pick like 5 things you want to work on w/ your hair and the formulate it for you. I LOVE it and have had AMAZING hair results! You pick your scent and how strong you want it as well. It took me over 8 months to go through all the shampoo and conditioner. They have hair masks and stuff for your skin and body as well as Coco and Eve. That’s kina what led me to try Coco lol. I got Coco’s shampoo brush, tangle tamer and mini comb as well. It’s great to hear that it has worked so well for you, it might be exactly what I’m needing/looking for! It’s a hugggggee bonus to know it lasts too. I like to hold on to my shampoos and conditioners for as long as I can so if it lasts and helps me save money in the long run, then i’m here for the value too! and ooo i haven’t tried the coco brush but now i’m interested! @@KindlyChristina that’s one of my favorite things about it is that it lasts. Also everything is made from recycled plastic bottles! Love that! Function definitely grew my hair a ton as well. Yeah, that shampoo brush is the bomb girl! Lol it’s like the nicest massage and massaging your scalp like that can help your hair grow too. I also take the shampoo brush before i get in the shower and rub my scalp to get any dead skin loose for my shower. Super helpful! No problem! You’re so sweet!
What's shampoos are good for hair growth
Hmm good question, there might be brands out there that market formulas for hair growth however, I haven’t tried any. After doing lots of research for years during this long hair journey, i’ve learned the best thing you can probably do is focus on diet/nutrition. Hair growth is generally genetic and health related so the best place to start is there :) However, if you’re looking for really extensive resources,I recommend finding a long hair group on facebook or reddit. There are lots of people with personal experiences and resources that might be able to give good recommendations if they have a similar hair type or journey. hi! I also have low porosity hair and if you’re able to afford it and want silky moisture, I think it could be a good product to try for sure. It really just comes down to the cost/value but it is a great product for low porosity hair!
Dude, you are the most honest natural person i have seen. I wish people were this honest and gave feedback’s like you. You deserve so much subscribers and reach than you have. You got any recommendations for a shampoo that doesn’t dry my black straight fine Asian hair out. I’m a 23 yr old male btw. I also have a partially dry scalp and live in a area with hard water. So I really need a shampoo that’s super hydrating and doesn’t make my scalp or hair dry and cause deposits in my scalp. I currently use this solu salt scrub from davines. Which is the best clarifying product ever. But I need a mild gentle normal shampoo to alternate with. But every high end luxury brand from Moroccan oil to Kevin Murphy has dried my hair. I was thinking of trying pureology hydrate or the Acure hydrating shampoo. But I saw this so..

In terms of hair recommendations for you, I would say you have a few options and want to note I don’t have beautiful straight asian hair (although I’ve always admired it so much!) but I do have fine hair. If you’re looking for a mild shampoo to alternate, my absolute tried and true (and I’ve spent lots of years and lots of money on a large variety of hair products) shampoo and conditioner would be either the herbal essences hello hydration or garnier fructis sleek and shine. They’re inexpensive and do have silicones but since you already clarify occasionally, I think it could be fantastic for you.
I hear you loud and clear friend! I used to use VERY high end products and they never did much good for me. My hair just felt so much worse. If you’re looking for some serious hydration help post shower, I’m a huge lover of the olaplex no 8 hair mask. It’s great in shower but I love to use one pump post shower and brush it through my hair. I feel like it really locks in the moisture so well.
If you’re looking for softness or smoothness, I live and die by the answr keratin kit. It’s about $50 and shipping takes time but wow, it gives incredible results.
oh also i want to mention if you have access to a home depot or lowe’s, you can get a water softening shower head filter (usually about $40) and i think that could improve your results for sure!!
Trust your gut my friend, stick to inexpensive and generic products for shampoos and conditioners, I think those will work fantastically for you. It’s easy to get lost in the “better quality” products but at the end of the day, you know your hair best. I hope this input could help a little and thanks again for your incredible comment 🥹♥️👋🏼

BTW I had a really bad experience with olaplex shampoo cause it dried out my hair. So I like was thinking about giving the mask a try but was too scared. Will give a try now.

How can I tell if my hair is hydrated?
You can generally do a porosity test (you can google different methods!) but in general, if your hair feels dull, lacking shine, or brittle/crunchy, you likely need hydration! Leave in conditioners and oils can help with this too :) thanks for your comment!!!!
Was the smell much stronger than regular shampoo and conditioner?

You have really extra long hair so I guess you'd use more than someone with long hair or medium length

Sounds like you need a hair masque. You not going to get the hydration from lobbing on all that product for hydration.
