    So picturesque and peaceful! Spring has definitely sprung there! Our snow is still here but today was really warm and it finally started melting away. You are making me want spring to come a little faster! :) Fantastic video!

    Magnificent Nigel, some incredible views, beautiful streams, an epic climb and you finished at a disused station with an extraordinary tunnel in view as well - a hell of a day out I would say!!!! I'm definitely going to get myself up to Grindleford Station before too long.

      Hi Seamus, yes magnificent day and hike, pleased you enjoyed this vid, you can sit outside the old station cafe and watch the trains come through the tunnel and its the start of Padley Gorge, so ye get yourself there one day m8 cheers nigel

    Why not indeed, prefect place to stop for coffee. Scrambley and rocky route to the top but great views when you got there but it is always the amount of people that stop me going to these places in the Peak District. Looks like you got a good day for your first visit but that wind sounded brutal, cheers Alan

      Hi Alan, yes i dont go to peaks as often as i used too, it was my first visit to Padley Gorge, Higger Tor and Carl Wark featured on my 1st ever youtube vid back in 2014, every walk i do at the minute seems to be windy LOL, anyways thanks for commenting all the best nigel

    Brilliant walk Nige. One of many coffee stops eh? Love it. That was a wild wind swept place to have a hill fort. Great to be in its presence. I saw them all gathering the material for it. Well, good on top - loads of people but that's cool. Anh yeah the last brew spot topped it off nicely. All the best - have a good week ahead. Mark

      Hi Mark yes a coffee stop makes you sit and really take in your surroundings not that i need to tell you that, blows the mind when you visit these old hill forts and realise how much history is before you, People have every right to be there as much as i do so yes its cool, Railway tunnel and waterfalls in Padley Gorge just perfect, thanks for coming along and hope your week ahead is great too cheers nigel

      @@nigelharness9032 Oh yeah I know a good brew spot out and about Nige. It feels like the best in life is happening. I agree it is mind blowing the passage of time and they've left their mark to. For sure that end was great. Yeah, I'll have a decent week. Peace.

    Hi Nigel, sorry for the late reply! Been so busy. 😊 Wow, that was an amazing video of your walk in the Peak District. It really is a spectacular part of the country. We lived in this region for 12 years and I wanted to walk Carl Wark and Higgor Tor but never got around to doing it - but now I have, thanks to you. 😊 Great watching you scramble up Higgor Tor. Padley gorge and Grindleford are lovely though, probably my favourite part of the Peak District. 😊 Stanage edge is fantastic too - went there a few times. Was that snow in the distance on the great ridge near Mam Tor? 😊 Thanks again Nigel, hopefully catch up with you for a walk one day. Keep making the videos, they are great!! ❤️ All the very best and happy spring, love Dawn, Paul and Sweep xx

    Brilliant video Nigel. If you were going to have a memorial stone placed on a trail somewhere ( hopefully that's a long way off!), where would it be?

    • @nigelharness9032
      @nigelharness9032  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Paul, pleased you enjoyed the video, good question i have thought where i would like my ashes scattered and there is many places i would choose but a memorial stone is easier, at the end of my Grand tour of the Wolds where iam layed on that old trailer looking down on the village of Nettleton such a quiet spot with lovely views and usually a warm westerly breeze in your face brilliant spot, anyways have a good weekend cheers nigel
