Thank you!! I really like painting snow, and as I do more videos in the future, I want to be able to share all kinds of backgrounds and different elements in my paintings!
Outstanding artist, your craftsmanship of painting is amazing. I just think that the time lapse doesn't give the full effect ,and it takes away from the essence of the over all painting. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!! And I agree, the timelapse doesn't show enough of the painting and what I'm doing so I stopped filming this way a couple years ago. My recent videos are much longer and without timelapse so that I can give more in depth descriptions of what I'm doing. I might have to do another Blue Jay video this way the next time I paint one!
Absolutely stunning. Your painting skills are beyond measure, and your paintings are so beautiful! ❤🙏❤🤩 Thank you so much for sharing how to paint the bluejay. However, would you consider doing a tutorial on how you did the snow and the shadows and structure in the snow in this painting?
Thank you!! Really appreciate that! I'm happy to share the blue jay. For the snow, I can certainly put it on the list of videos to make, and if I happen to do another painting with snow like this, I can work on making a video about it.
Very nicely made demonstration of your painting process Joseph. I’ve been admiring your artwork and photography on Instagram and now find that you’re also creating quality videos. Wow! Thanks so much for sharing and congratulations on the quality of work you’re producing.👍👍
Thank you Rene!! That is really nice of you to say. It means a lot. And thank you for following me! I'm hoping to create more and more videos for everyone to see more in to my process and the wildlife that I've seen!
This was so fascinating to watch! I love to see the two reference photos in the background at the end. You basically did a "manual photoshop" 😄 Amazing result!
Thank you so much!! For almost all of my work I combine different reference photos to produce a composition that I like. Mostly because I often see the animal and the background that I like at two different times!
By far, you are the best teacher I’ve seen on you tube!! Your work is absolutely stunning. Simply breath taking. Thank you so much for sharing. If I may ask, how did you paint the snow??
Thank you so much!! And that is incredibly nice of you to say. I am very happy to share. For snow, I usually start with the mid range value colour, then adding highlights and shadows, layer upon layer. Putting the lights and darks where they need to be and paying very close attention to the structure of the snow. I do share a little bit about how I paint snow in this video. I hope that helps! ua-cam.com/video/5IpaxhNQDKY/v-deo.html
Thank you so much!! I don't have a video for this particular background, but I show some similar things with the snow in this video! ua-cam.com/video/5IpaxhNQDKY/v-deo.html
Amazing ❤
Gorgeous… the snow looks so real, and fluffy! I would love to see you do that background too!
