Great video! And a great trip. Have you ever dove Three Hickey Rocks? Spent a few days diving in tree salt domes that pushed up to about 70’ feet of water depth. Truly incredible!
@@scottbauerbelow yes. We left out of Port Arthur and if I recall it was 125 miles east of Port Arthur and 90 miles south of Louisiana. The guide had to use a sexton and Loran C to find the location but we had it all to ourselves. I’ve been diving since 1976 and just missed diving with Jacques Cousteau on his one and only dive in the Gulf, but a friend, who’s passed, Kenny Young, was his dive buddy. Twin hoses and all!🤠
The Smooth Trunkfish was always my favorite out there. It's been years since I have been. Need to go as I'm in Pearland, only about 45 minutes away from the boat. Captain Bland still out there?
Out there they have the Golden smooth trunkfish as well which is unique to that area and Roatan, which is pretty interesting…and no captain bland is longer out there, I believe he moved on to other things when the boat took on new management…
Thank you! On this set up I was using the tamron 11x20(it’s for Sony apsc cameras as opposed to full frame), since the A7IV crops down to apsc instead of full frame when shooting in 4k60, this lens made it where I could shoot as wide as I needed
great scenes, aquatic creatures thrive when the environment allows for it. hopefully soon you'll be spontaneous and head to Cebu, Philippines & Okinawa, Japan to dive and shoot some footage :))
@@scottbauerbelowI’m diving with them this coming august! I see a few people I. Your video not wearing a wetsuit and that’s why I asked. Good to know I won’t need one!
Loved the intro !!
Thank you!

@@scottbauerbelow love that wide-angle look! Colors look great as well. Thanks!
Really beautiful opening sound mix and color. The white balance looks neutral.
