Someone died and we keep brushing this off like it’s gonna eventually go away. It won’t, and the whole justice system will soon be in on trying to get all the Amber Guyger’s less time for MURDER. People get life, people get no parole. But she will be out in 5 YEARS?! Are you kidding me? How can you think this is okay? This is what’s wrong with the world now, as long as it’s a privileged person who “was too tired” it’s okay because they “overworked” themselves. But they completely ignore the fact that there was a man in his own home (let me point out it is a black victim, though whenever it’s a white on black crime “race doesn’t matter”), minding his own business. He gets SHOT AND KILLED in his own home by a POLICE OFFICER. This is not okay. It needs to be fixed. 5 years won’t do it. I’m not here to start an argument or be rude to you, I just want you to understand how infuriating it is to see people brushing this off like this isn’t proof that something is wrong with our justice system. Screw the Judge hugging her, that isn’t the problem. What we are going to do to prevent these Amber Guyger’s is the problem. “Forgetting your kid in a hot car” is nowhere near walking up an EXTRA flight of stairs, going to the wrong door, still putting the key in the wrong door (That wouldn’t turn), realizing it’s open, pushing the door open, seeing that nothing in this house resembles her own, and then gunning down a man in his own home. IT’s disgusting how you think this was a common accident and should be excused. At least that’s how you are wording it.

The both of you (brother and judge) played yourself. Blacks or so called “African Americans” need to stop hugging and forgiving injustice. The killing of a man does not warrant a hug 🤷🏾‍♂️. The judge claim that this demon asked for a hug seems like a setup for optics. When amber guyger ask for an appeal are you still going to still feel enriched by giving that hug. In 2020 Blacks need to get back to understanding of we are better off separate and apart. Civil rights killed us a culture of people. I would not hug or forgive. An eye for an eye would be my thought process. In my opinion, forgiveness of murder should given by GOD not by me. Amber was given 10 years she might do 3-5 they will have her in protective custody then she will get released. That is if she does not win an appeal. The great thing is the universe has a way of delivering karma. Forgiveness cannot stop karma.

It is one thing to hug someone that is very remorseful who may have just been convicted and sentenced to serve prison time for say involuntary manslaughter (maybe they caused someone's death by texting and driving), but it is another to hug and give your very own Bible to someone who entered an innocent person's home and took their life (murder). Even if she thought it was her home she did not even give this man a chance to surrender. Someone should show Judge Kemp how that feels and then ask her for a hug.

And the perpetrator is (apparently) remorseful. The sentence was already made when she asked for the hug from the judge. She will still have to serve 10 years in prison. Sorry for taking up your time, though this comment stood out to me more than the others.

Glitch Animations you’re assuming stances that I do not have. Ignorance is real and common. We all are mostly ignorant. No one can be anything but mostly ignorant. No one knows everything, nor do they know most things. Yet most of us assume that we have all the information that we need to make judgments on things we do not fully understand. I wasn’t at that trial. I did not experience it in its entirety. I had not learned law to fully understand what murder means. I had not studied what is typical sentencing for a murder such as this.
Be humble. Know that we shouldn’t stand by while injustice breathes, but know that you are limited to knowledge and understanding.
I embrace questioning judgments. I shake my head at silliness, typical to that of children, as coming to conclusions with limited understanding....because that will not help. Children don’t win wars.

The brother I get, he decided to forgive Amber for the killing of his brother. The victims family have that right to choice how they want to move on with their life.
For a judge your the middle man and is there to keep the piece and fairness. By hugging someone for killing someone you decided to take a side regardless. No less then a former Police officer who probably was in her courtroom before as an officer.
And the Judge has the nerve to say is Sad... All while the justice system has put incident people in prison and some cannot defend themselves properly.
We the public have the right to feel how we want to feel and not impose on the families wishes. A judge should cross a line and by doing this sends a message too all cops that Judges might go easy on them.
The sad part here is that a lot of us don't trust the Justice System and the Judge didn't care for the people that feel this way. The Judge set back the trust. And if she feels Sad the public feels this way then people will look at this and say the system doesn't care for us.
