@@smooth1ndallas Accidents should not be a reason or a justification for time in prison. Repeated accidents is another matter. This verdict is characteristic of how far morally the USA has declined. Still...you're right about the sentence being 5 years or less in a women's prison. I only hope she will be OK when she gets released.

no they are not appealing the trial, just the conviction. In other words , they are trying to get a lesser punishment after her lawyers agree she is guilty. So either she will end up with the original charge and sentence or she will get the less conviction so its either same or less..cannot end up in more
