And Shikomori is also a bantu language but only spoken in the islands of comoros. It is very similar to Kiswahili and this video will show you some of the similarities of both languages.
Désolé d'avoir été trop long

I am a Kenyan. We believe that Shikomori iis a dialect of Kiswahili. There are so many Swahili dialects some may be even closer to Comorian, but written Swahili has been standardised to allow intelligibility to a wider population. The standardised Kiswahili is based on kiunguja a dialect of Kiswahili spoken in Zanzibar Tanzania. We listen to Comorian music and we understand what what they sing about though not very clearly.

Kiswahili come in different forms. Depending on the local languages the swahili pronunciation changes a little bit. Main dilects in the coastal islands - ki-amu (lamu), mvita(mombasa), ungunja(zanzibar), ki-bajuni (Sonalu island), ki-pemba(pemba island). Mainland swahili has been ignored in swahili classification but regions like East congo actually speak an interesting swahili with "j" sounding like 'y' just like in kiamu!! Part of Mozambique and the northern part of Zambia they do speak Swahili too. Also in Yemen/ Oman they do speak Swahili with more arabic accent. Remember there is no a tribe in Africa which speaks only Swahili everyone who speak Swahili has his own tribe language (dialect)except in Zanzibar there are people who speak only Swahili mainly they are descendants of Arabs from Yemen/Oman
Thank you for the details
This is a bit misleading considering Swahili originated from Eastern Congo initially called Kikongo but was later changed to Swahili after frequent interaction of the coastal Bantu by Arabs, Zanzibar/Mombasa Swahili heavily borrows Arabic phrases but that does not make it original Swahili rather more lingua franca. Swahili in Congo, Rwanda, Burundi (with less Arabic influences) is actually the original language. The TZ Swahili is however the modern standard language
@@meeowgforever no you are the one who misunderstood. Kikongo is actually a language of Kongo people from Kingdom of Kongo which include Angola, Congo Brazzaville and DrCongo located at western Congo where atlantic slavery occured. Kikongo is one of the 4 national languages in Congo ( Tshiluba, Swahili, Lingala and Kikongo). Swahili didnt start in Congo but it reaches eastern and southern congo with the slaves and ivory traders such as Tipo tipo (Black arab who was a Sultan from Zanzibar)and Mwenda Msiri son of the King Kalasa from Tanzania.
While studying the origin of languages (Swahili) what I have typed is exactly what I was taught, just that some words were replaced with some Arabic and Portuguese words due to their influence in the coast. A simple Google search on the origin of Swahili will 100% confirm to you what I have typed, the different btn Kenyan/TZ coastal Swahili and mainland Swahili is the coastal one borrows Arabic word more or less the same way Kenyans tends to mix Swahili with English(Sheng) which does not make Kenyan Swahili an English language.
@@meeowgforever Yes I understand that Swahili is a bantu lingua franca with some borrowing arabic and portuguese words. My point here is Swahili didnt start in Congo and didnt come from Kikongo beacause kikongo is a native language along the atlantic coastal whereas Swahili is spoken where the arabs and bantu were in contact along the indian costal. So it praticaly impossible for kikongo to be the root of Swahili. Bythe way I m from Congo.
Very good Idea however it will be more interesting to include also others dialectes.
Mais bon.

In Tanzania we are used mzuri.

Swahili language experts classify 'Kingazija' (Comorian) as one of the dialects of Swahili. The standard Swahili spoken today is the Zanzibar dialect which was adopted by the British in 1948 and started to be officially taught in schools. Actually the Comoros are regarded as part of the Swahili people. Unfortunately they do not know or understand that they are classified as part of the Swahili.
Indeed you're right, thank you for the information
@@TheComorianTourist
Also for your info the word Swahil come from the Arab word 'Saahil' meaning coast. It is said the original swahili people were called Wangozi from the Northern coast of Kenya and Southern Somalia areas of Lamu , Kismayo and Barawa coast before they started migrating south along the coast ulp to the coast of North Mozambique. The Arabs started to refer to the people the met at the East African coast as Ahlu saahil meaning people of the coast. That is how the people living along the coast of east africa come to be called Swahili and the language Kiswahili. Meaning the language of the people of the coast.
The Bajuni people of the north coast Kenya are considered as some of the descendants of the original Wangozi ie Swahili's.
