This might be the first BeardMeatsFood video that I think I could actually complete. It really doesn't look that big.. but I know the cream cheese would make it pretty rough.
I think the goal is to have a consistent free marketing by challengers who comes in often, not to set a impossible goal. Giving away free bagels and other rewards and setting a 'restaurant record' for the fastest champion drives interests. So it's not that it's impossible to finish, it's more of 'how fast can you finish'. But once a 'champion' sets a high difficulty time limit to beat, most people might not challenge it anymore.

Only $25 for entry and you get thirty mins to eat it? I could do it. Sign me up.
thats my calorie in a week. lol
R u Greek man?
They invested about $300 worth of rewards to make the challenge, and earns free marketing for about $1000~5000 worth of customers.
For anyone who was curious about what was on the pizza like I was, I looked it up:
- 18″ diameter breakfast pizza with 1.5 lbs of dough and 12 oz of cream cheese spread all over.
- For cream cheese, you can choose between garlic or jalapeno salsa flavor.
- There are 4 scrambled eggs on top plus 12 oz shredded cheese.
- That is all topped with 4 diced sausage patties, 4 oz of diced ham, and 4 oz of bacon bits.
- There is a 30-minute time limit to finish the entire breakfast pizza (pay-to-play challenge).
- The challenge costs $25. Winners get a dozen bagels and 1 lb of cream cheese to take home.
- Champions also win $100, a specially made sweet t-shirt, a Mister Bagel travel mug, and Wall of Fame!!
Not all heroes wear capes. Thank you
cheers mate
Thanks. I was wondering
Wow, there’s no way I could eat all that but it sounds absolutely delicious!
You can’t even buy the 12oz of cream cheese for $25 here in Canada 😢
She definitely runs the family lmao.
That was awesome! Even got a standing ovation.
I'm amazed at how nice he is to everyone while eating.. when I'm eating it's like feeding time at the zoo and I growl at people 😂
don't be a dickhead then
You ever done time
@@Heavymetalstonie420 Unfortunately, yes.. but it was good for me and I needed it. It helped change the course in my life 🙂
@@Geezus.Khryst. lol yeah your comment reminded me of that scene from get hard when he's eating and all growling and shit that was funny as hell
@@Heavymetalstonie420 yeah, not the same as prison, but funny ..
This place was so cool and on top of 100 bucks and a t shirt you get take away bagels. They were amazingly supportive mate I love them.
Wow- shout out to the restaurant, staff, patrons and basically anyone that was in the Vid. What a genuinely lovely group of people!
The Bearded legend absolutely destroying that time- looked yummy too- they say its all about the girth- and that was a girthy pizza!
Well done Adam 👊
Thanks mate 🙌
Great intro from the guy serving the pizza too! :)
"Did this world traveller come to the other side of the pond for this beautiful challenge?" 😂
Aloha from the Netherlands! 🌻
I live 20 minutes away from there. Didn't know about this challenge. I am definitely going to have to do this. Great video!
What a bunch of great people . The staff was great and the customers were very nice and supportive. You made this one look so easy. Great job
We love the kind and positive attitude Adam has here. He was having fun, being a great sport and was super thoughtful. Not all tourist are like that in the state so we take a shining to the good ones like Adam. 😊
You usually come across some very nice people when doing these challenges but everyone from the staff to the patrons there were top tier.
Well done, Adam!
Thanks mate 🙌
I loved his humbleness when the woman was giving him advice like eat cabbage beforehand 😂 It’s like a random person trying to teach LeBron James how to play basketball 😂
Another classic example of a woman not knowing when to shut her mouth.
😂😂😂
Yeah but he didn't even know about it and it's a common competitive eater thing lol
*humility*
@@jj-if6it you sure he didnt know? as OP said, he was being humble towards her. you think this man out of anyone woulnt know simple food eating tricks? think on that.
This guy's personality is fantastic.
Rarely seen this much genuine hospitality in that part of the world ❤️ good people, good vibes, good food.
As a former Portland, Maine resident, I wasn't at all surprised to see such lovely, supportive people! Great challenge :)
As someone who only knows about Maine from Stephen King novels, I was quite surprised. 😅
Mainers are legit, visited there last month, and got similar vibes from the people as I do in Hawaii.. 🤙
Very refreshing to see. Could do with some that in the uk!
Definite lack of the ol Yankee Glare going on in this place
I've said it before in your comments but.. I just love the enthusiasm and positivity you find out in America... the UK has pockets of it from time to time, but honestly just what a lovely bunch of people and the challenge was amazing. I'm sure they'll be getting a few more customers taking on the challenge after this video!
Yeah the stuff almost makes itself out there 😂
Those people were awesome 🎉 Love when the other customers celebrate with you ❤
the energy in this is just beautiful. lots of humor, lots of support and everyone having a good time.
I love when everyone stood up and gave you the applaud, the woman about to come in the door does an abrupt stop and gives a worried look like she's never heard such a clamor from inside and is unsure if she'll be able to secure the bagel with lox and cream cheese she drove all that way for. Well done, mate. Not sure how I'd fair with the cream cheese, but I could slam the rest down in 15.
Yeah the pizza sounds good but the cream cheese on it sounds disgusting
I really think you're underestimating it if you say you could "slam the rest down in 15".
Cream cheese sounds interesting for it. I think I'd enjoy that.
@@TheRealMasonYoung Aye, disregard the gobshites. Y/T is full of 'em. I could do it in week, easy !!
@@blackbob3358 I'd split one with you and see if we could get it done. Obviously no prizes there, but with a 2nd person I would at least try, try being the keyword though lol
@@therealdevinfrancis Must agree, but i've never had it on pizza. Probably makes it go down easier ?
This was a joy to watch. Hospitality is the best marketing I think. If I ever go to Maine, I'd make a trip for this place. Great video and great atmosphere there. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a fabulous bunch of staff and customers. They we’re so keen and enthusiastic.
Never seen a small business look so happy at giving a $100 away. What lovely people :)
Mister Bagel isn't really a small business, they're a chain.
Bless, that pizza looks so small compared to others he's eaten! In terms of the establishment itself, all of the staff and customers really had a lot of enthusiasm and it's nice to see because sometimes you've completed a challenge and tumbleweeds just drift by! Nice to see the appreciation when you beat a challenge!
What a nice bunch of people! Amazing energy from everyone in that joint.. very nice to see happy folks enjoying the show!
The best!
i love how supportive they were, definitely a place you'd love to go back to
Such an enthusiastic crowd! It's always more fun with a bit of banter. And a nice new record set for those who come after, too. Well done.
Couldn't agree more!
The standing ovation from the dude at the end was tremendous 😂
Another day, another challenge, and Beard blasts the old record as usual. The applause was sincere and truly meant by the employees.
And customers/ watchers! Fun, wasn't it? 🙂
BMF is just having his every day lunch
Lovely family everyone was so welcoming and genuinely supportive
Wow! Just Wow!. Amazingly well done Adam and humble as usual, no bragging or boasting and brilliant banter with who I can only describe as some of the nicest and supportive staff and clientele we've seen. Keep up the good work you're doing Ireland proud 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To be sure!
Glad you enjoyed it
Makes me happy to hear how well the staff took care of you Mr. Beard.
Glad to see the Maine Hospitality showing off!
Really is the best place on Earth, if you were here 2 weeks ago to watch the foliage drop it would have been even better!
Enjoy your time in Maine and let me know if you need any other ideas for food challenges in Maine!
I grew up in Maine and lived in Portland for 6 years. One of my favorite cities. Glad to see you make it there, hope you enjoyed the visit!
I love how all the people at these places are so kind and always cheering you on
I just want to say mate, the love between you and the people you meet on these challenges is amazing!
Thanks mate 🙌
So proud of how the maine people made him feel. This is accurate being a local ❤ so welcoming. Not saying others aren’t just seemed so everyday which it is 😊
I just feel like Adam just brings joy with him any where he goes. I hope to bump into him one day
i try
what a friendly bunch at the restaurant! that was fun to watch :)
I know Adam joked about needing the $100 for New York but I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned around and gave the money back to the restaurant as a tip or something. What a great episode with so many friendly people 😊
I was a waiter in one of his videos and he won and still paid the price of the challenge if you failed so presume he does this in every video
I would bloody hope so.
He probably makes 20k+ per month so...
@@harrywade9898 - Adam gets his money's worth from them allowing him to film it.
Once they do so - they'd be stupid not to - I doubt spending $50-100 is a big deal for him.
But classy nonetheless on his part.
@@CleM-sp3xv The real classy part is doing and not telling anyone.
8:50 the lady that was walking in was so confused😭🤣
First thought was "that doesn't look that big" and then he picked up the first slice: that's a real deep pizza! And if it takes Beard 15 minutes to eat I can only imagine how rich it must have been...
That's one of the best looking breakfast pizzas I've seen. I want some.
Ahhh the cheer from the folks there brings a smile to my face! So wholesome
Random woman tells professional eater how to prepare for food challenges 🤣. Adam being the polite dude he is, smiles and thanks her. You rock Adam 🤘😎
I've seen professional competitive eaters who have said they practice this method, including Joey Chestnut, who owns several records.
lol hey you never know when some random can come at you with some magical knowledge no one has ever given you. even as an expert, theres always more to learn.
It's called having a conversation
Would you have a conversation with Tiger Woods and tell him what he needs to do to play better golf? No 🤣. It would be more asking him how he plays golf so well or general question. Is your real name really Tiger? Your certainly not going to give him golfing tips. I meant no disrespect to the woman. I do not think she knew who he was or that he was a competitive eater. Have a good day.@@aldogga3320
I absolutely love Portland, and Maine in general. Lived there for a number of years in a small town called Bridgton. Amazing food and amazing people throughout that state… And some unspeakably beautiful scenery. This was another one that had me drooling! Well done, as always, sir.
Couldn't agree more!
I know some people who live in Bridgton!
Awesome! I miss kayaking on moose pond, and Venicia is some of the best Italian food you can ever hope to have! I miss it deeply
One of the best episodes, the people were so friendly, well done Adam.
Man if I ever catch myself over in that area I will definitely have to swing by Mister Bagel, probably the coolest and nicest staff I've seen in any of your challenges.
We would love to see any new faces :D
They were all so lovely and supportive, this may be one of my favourite videos of Adam’s.
Agreed, food looks delicious, never boring once, hardly even noticed the sound. Everyone was super nice. Great episode!
Ah Thanks mate 🙌
I just love how well mannered and enjoying you are in gulping down those huge masses - and I loved the good spirit of all the people in this place!
Apart of the legendary speed Beard is eating up that thick pizza, this video is beautiful too because of those genuine and gentle people in this shop.
Love from Switzerland.
I loved everyone’s energy in this one! They were so hyped, I think I’d be the same if I could watch you do a challenge live while having my breakfast! Best community ever
This was one of the best challenges you have completed in ages. What an amazing place with such friendly people.
Thank you for coming to Maine! Showing us support even with what is going on. We appreciate your Mr. Beard!!
whats going on there that you meant?
@@emu_warrior there was a mass shooting in lewiston just a couple weeks ago.😔 but we are strong!! 💪
@@emu_warriorthe shooting like a week ago or two, it was pretty big
Sending you love and support. I've only been to Maine once, but it was the absolute greatest. I adore your state and I can't wait to come back
Honestly this has to be one of my FAVORITE videos you've posted Mr beard
Great video Beard and since it was in Maine i just want to say to anyone watching that i'm so sorry about what happened to all those innocent people in maine may they all rest in peace. ❤❤
You could just tell by looking at that pizza, and the length of the video, that this was going to be a breeze! Great support from everyone in there, this was definitely a great video!
The word Breakfast just sounds like his Starter 😂
You're the man, Adam. Thanks for the entertainment, and we'll catch you in the next one, my friend.
What I love about your videos is how you talk to people while absolutely smashing the challenges haha
