I just opened up my Surge Mesh and intimidated as hell. so I did what any sane adult do, left it to its fate, and googled manual assembly videos. Your video came up first and thank God for that. This is really helpful and came up right when I needed the most!
This is my first drum kit ever and I was a little intimidated when assembling it. I've never played drums before, but I wanted to learn and my family got me this set. This video helped a TON when assembling it, so thank you so much for making it. You're an awesome guy!
I’m a single mom and my life is super busy. I left the box unopened for 3 weeks because I had no idea what I was doing, but your video was so easy to follow and now my son has an awesome kit to drum on! Thank you so very much!
I went searching for a setup video after seeing the vague instructions in the box, and your demonstration was incredibly helpful. Thank you for the great video!
Great video! I've played a lot of stringed instruments, but never a drum kit before. I am so tired of clicking and programming them with a mouse/keyboard and wanting to try it out with a pair of sticks. My kit should arrive tomorrow and this was helpful in having a good idea on the best way to put it together! Thanks again.
You're a life saver. This took me hour's trying to set this up, as I am an amateur want to be drummer. The picture direction's suck. Thank very much for getting me on the right track. I will subscribe.
Thank you for this video! I looked up a ton of other videos on the set up and you were one of the best. Other videos would blow through the set up waaaay too fast, which is what I needed to learn lol. So thank you!
I just got my kit and followed this! Super helpful! I will add one thing I have noticed, is that it seems that the sensor on the kick drum in located on the bottom center half of the circle, rather than the direct middle. This has caused me to having to place the kick drum pedal lower. It now hits the lower part of the drum. When I had it in the direct middle of the drum, it wasn’t registering!
Even though time has passed, and I have a different color set and different design pedals I think you tremendously. I'm on the fence keeping this kit because one of the high hat cable was too short so I had to lower everything and I am thorough and take my time with the snare drum should stay in place a bit better. although I'll see how it feels
Thanks so much for this! I noticed you placed the hi-hat and module positions swapped vs the instructions and other reviews - but after trying the "right" way I see now why you swapped them: with the module to the left of the hi-hat the snare cable barely reaches the snare connector (and I don't understand why they put all the connectors on the right side of the drums & cymbals). The hi-hat and snare cables fit better without strain with the module closer to the center bar.
This is quité useful. i could managed myself to assemble It, but I made some mistakes that made that the experience wasn't as It should. Thanks to this vid now, everything is in Its right place. Thank you very much
Can I just had another cymbal to this drum kit I bought one 2 days ago but on tge brain says cymbal 1 and 2 but it only comes with 1 physical cymbal ? So my question is can I had another cymbal ro this drum kit ? Thanks great vid 👍
i search on the net , i reviewed the drum set, it says surge can do double peds while nitro can't which is which, my point i want to play double peds. i don't know what to choose.
Hi, thanks for the comment, so I'm going to do a video on this subject as it's come up a few times now. But the crux of it is, the Nitro Mesh kit WILL fit a double bass drum pedal, however only certain ones as the pad is quite small so you have to be careful about your selection of the double bass drum pedal. The Surge Kit pad is much larger and can comfortably fit double bass drum pedals of all sizes. Your budget constraints will be the biggest decider here but it's possible with a bit of research and shopping around. Good luck!
Hi Ayush, thank you for the comment, I would suggest putting down a rug under the drum kit/tower or you can purchase a drum rug for the kit to sit on. Alternatively set up the drum kit on carpet.
Ich habe jetzt 4 Videos über dieses Drumkit geschaut. Und keinen einzigen Ton gehört! Was soll der Mist? Ich habe die Schnauze so was von voll von Alesis. Nur geredet und nichts angetastet. das kotzt mich sowas von an.

You don't play drums you're a drummer you drum. The video helped 2000 lb how is it that doesn't make any sense 2000 lb of help from a video😮
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth 10,000? This video was so helpful. Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for the great Alesis Surge e-drum video set-up guide! Heading upstairs into the loft studio to set mine up right now. Cheers buddy!
Really glad it helped, happy drumming!
Only came to check up on the kick drum pedal beater head direction but ended up watching the whole thing. Great job. Carry on.

Same issue for me!

Absolutely invaluable!! Thank you, this made a huge difference as I put one of these together for my daughter!
Thanks a lot for the help Kev. I got a used one of these for my bday and it came with no manual or anything, so I was at a loss at how to assemble it.
I have all my pads and symbols hooked up and working, but one wire was not labeled. What is that for?
This is quité useful. i could managed myself to assemble It, but I made some mistakes that made that the experience wasn't as It should. Thanks to this vid now, everything is in Its right place.
Thank you very much

Hi, yes the expansion input on the back of module will allow you to plug in another cymbal pad if needed.
thank you so much. how do you plug headphones in to it?
Hi Dave, thanks for the comment, there is a mini-jack connection on the side of the drum kit brain.
Very helpful, thanks!

How do I stop my bass drum tower from moving?
Hi Ayush, thank you for the comment, I would suggest putting down a rug under the drum kit/tower or you can purchase a drum rug for the kit to sit on. Alternatively set up the drum kit on carpet.
Sweet. Now please show folding and unfolding for storage, which they claim it can do. I'm skeptical that it won't take as long as setup.
Hi Jay, thanks for the comment, I cover the portability of the kit in this review: ua-cam.com/video/p57MRt_DMZI/v-deo.html
Great instruction video.
Thumps up well done.
Very helpfull thanks
Where can i buy the drum key? I lost mine .. 😢
Hi, thanks for the comment, you can buy a drum key easily online or if you’re not sure, from a local drum shop. Most drum keys should work, good luck!
god helps the poor soul who folds this thing up the wrong way
