Man Excellent instructions very helpful changing the number six spark plug. Come to find out the reason why my truck was running like shit was that the number six spark plug rod was broken on the inside. It was the only spark plug that was never changed on the truck from the previous owner. Thanks again for your instructional video. Mahalo!!!!🤙🏽

Good video once again, thank you. The trick to put the new plug in using the hose is a good one.

Thank you, the tip of the spark plug was hard to find with your fingers but I finally found it!

Yep, there's a small metal curved ramp on the driver side that if you follow with your fingers will lead you right to the tip of the plug ...

Took a couple Norco 10's before attempting and I'll say it went well.

A few years ago I did this on this engine in my daughter's 1998 VG33 Nissan Pathfinder. I had read about folks just changing 5 plugs, but decided to do this correctly. i remember using my left hand for this. Took over an hour to replace all six plugs.

This is great & helpful, like many of your videos! May I suggest adding " Nissan VG33E " to the video title? It could help others find it and help even more people.

If you suggest removing the manifold to do #6 properly, then I'd love to see you do a vid on that nightmare. #6 is a BITCH to do every single time. Nissan designers and engineers should've put #6 up their rears !

Thanks for this detailed video. Appreciate all the mechanic’s tips that you also provided, have learnt much!
Which long-life sparkplug do you recommend for this operation? I’ve been told the Prius IFR5TT-11 and Denso IK16TT are a good alternative

Took me 2 hrs. I laid a large cardboard box over the engine and laid prone on it doing the work. Absolute Zero Visibility of the plug. Blind searching with my left hand. Made a mental visualization of old boot orientation to direct socket angle. Maybe a flexible mirror or camera would've helped. ...but engine not running right after it (I started engine after each new plug and new wire prior, so thinking I could've misthreaded..) sure don't look fwd to going at that beast again.. but agree, if you've got the time & smarts to reassemble, remove that plenum cover. Lsying on the cardboard over the engine made this much more tolerable.

Yeah I usually use a magnet spark plug socket that's a spark plug socket with a magnet in there and that does the trick

It's super fucken easy when you remove the hood and feel behind the engine. I've never changed a spark plug in my entire life and did this in an hour, half of the time was spent feeling out where the plug was, the other half was getting the tool on it lol.
Will only take 10 - 15mins max next time
