I love how towards the end of the second story it devolved from, "Ban Lego, as they are dangerous as weapons and tools to militarise the young!", into "You're attempts to use the investigation into this attempted banning as an excuse to acquire the kits you wanted are duly noted, and hereby ignored."
If the Aliens fear Rick hunting them, imagine their terror at beings like Bryan Mills or the Slenderman^^ on the second story: i love how they suggest hiring longer living lawyers. this is the first and only indicator that that lawsuit won't go over well.
Not the only story that mentions Rick Rolling. There was another where a human AI was captured (or held hostage?) and the techs decrypt a protected file which turns out to a Rick Roll (I suspect the AI baited them with the file, though it is ambiguous). There is a reason I hesitate to click on comment links.
@@AgroSquerril No joke, there's socket sets at the local hardware store that inexplicably skip or fall short of 10mm. There's also a problem with sets that skip 12mm and 14mm, but not always in the same sets. And even if you get replacements as singles the carrying case doesn't have room for them so they are further prone to becoming lost.
@@ckl9390 Get the Snap-On sets! All the sizes are guaranteed to be there. Of course, when you inevitably lose that 10mm buying a replacement will cripple your 401K retirement fund. Once upon a time (back in the Seventies) it was actually a better deal to buy a complete set than buying individual replacements. That got changed by Snap-On quickly. 😂
I have and you can harden your feet to both. I use legos as a hobby, so I don't think most people will have spent as much time honing this particular skill.
You know whats funny? if we ever do get to the point where we can colonize other worlds Lego will probably create more sets based on the ships we used and anything we happen to find out there.
That’s because you have a thin layer of fat/oil on your skin protecting you (only to a point) when you walk on hot coals. This is why they tell you to walk briskly instead of staying put for, say, 30 seconds.
enjoy engineer stories and their 'mis-adventures' very much heh legos still confounding folks in the future and now a megacorp thanks for the stories and narration
A defense of Lego Bricks from the perspective of the Geneva convention is mot something I knew I needed when I woke up this morning. Two great stories, 1 awesome narration. For the algorithm!
Id rather have biotech option, not gentic engineering though, well not of human dna. Have spider silk implants of spider glands of your own skin or the bio stuff sperated in a plastic sac or soemthing for the body, implanted in. No need for nano tech, or changing your genes.
I belive cybernetics are the way to go, sure you have to refill/charge them but they are lot easier to repair and can be swapped out depending on what the situation needs

I am willing to bet that the 9mm and 3/8th standard (which converts to just over 9.5mm) are also still the bane they were in centuries pass. They also magically disappear about as often as the 10mm and are as about (or just slightly less) common a fastener size as the 10mm is.
"We are unable to help you acquire rare or sold-out LEGO sets" looooool 😂😂😂 "Please redirect your requests for additional exhibits to one of the LEGO distributors" 🤣🤣🤣

Favorite line "They swore to "FIX" the lightly armored part"
I snorted out loud to the human promising to "fix the lightly armoured part" in the first story

Even in the future, Rick still hunts
I'm ashamed to say I don't get the reference
not a bad thing , rick rolling shall never end. Its the only thing stronger than the Algorithm
@@AgroSquerril threw me off with the hunting

3:31 10mm sockets are _always_ the first to disappear
almost before purchase

Not lost. The #%$!* things Hide! I've bought more to find them in plain sight.
They Hide!

"OOOWWW!!! These, 'LEGO Bricks' are worse than military-grade land mines! We must ban them!" Humanity: "H.A.W.!"
Anyone who has stepped on both caltraps and lego will say Lego hurts more.

But caltraps do more lasting damage.
Nope
@@johnnycampbell3422 funny you should say that
@@henrypaleveda7760 I am not guessing.

where Lego becomes the leading historical lore keepers
You know.
Your probably not wrong.
As long as Disney doesn't buy Lego
lmao lego capital ship set (all insides working) going hard
1:1 scale?
LEGO tries not to do real world military stuff. Star Wars, yes, real wars, no.
I have walked across hot coals, and I have stepped on LEGOs. The former I would do again in a heartbeat. The latter... no.

Look we agree that stepping on a Lego brick sucks but they are fun and beneficial toys.
So, somebody stepped on a Lego brick, and now they want to ban Legos? Where have I hear that scenario before?
Probably from anyone who has children ! 😎
Wait until they discover the d4
I 'discovered' one once, extreme care has been taken in the use and containment of all d4s since the 'incident'...
Especially my most treasured set... 12 metal D4 dice. They are kept in a locked container when not in use.
I could 100% see aliens saying Legos are weapons of war

Yep. Lego caltrops are annoying.
Not surprised some alien Karen got huffy about it.
This has to be one of the funniest pair of stories that I have ever hear from this channel. Feckin brilliant.

I'm fine with some personal gene modification, but it seems like a Pandora's box if it were to be a standard thing for humanity.

Rick Rolling is both a warning and welcoming message currently broadcasting out among the stars
the first one sounds like someone making an over the top *parody* of the "Humans Are Space Orcs" genre.
