except as humans. we have jsut as many examples of that advancement for 1. shits and giggles, anbd 2. to sell to someone else. we dont need war to advance.

One of the things I always enjoy about stories like this. Is the implication that war is literaly so intergral to our make up its a genetic trait. It's like because of billions of year of evolutionary forces from mass extinctions, plagues, climate changes, etc Humanity is the only sapient species that evolved to a space faring society by winning a multi billion year war against evolution itself.

I disagree with her. If we are part of the Confederacy, that would make all of them our allies. Meaning any advancements we make would be for their defense as well as our own.

An alien that is not only smart enough to look back at human history, but to pick up patterns and learn from it- Refreshing!!
We once raged was over a single BUCKET!
Well, not really - bucked was rather post-war trophy. But nevertheless, would you consider otherwise?
I wonder if they picked up humans hold virtual wars and might advance through such means without being noticed

Bold of you to assume we wouldn't wage war on our selves, xenos 😂
A shame that infighting creates temporary set backs for humanity as a whole.

Generally, only 1-2 generations back technology gets shared with allies, or when they have developed the equivalent, and some technology never does.
Glad to hear you again
