  • 2 Ways a Narcissist Reacts when you become Silent
    💪🏻
When faced with silence, a narcissist's reaction can be like watching a high-stakes game of emotional chess. Initially, they might become restless, trying to decode the silence, feeling a pang of insecurity as their usual tactics fail to elicit the expected response. Then, they may unleash a barrage of manipulative tactics, from guilt-tripping to gaslighting, attempting to break the silence and regain control. Alternatively, they might retreat into their own world, concocting narratives that paint them as the victim or dismissing the silence as insignificant. In their desperation for attention and validation, a narcissist's reaction to silence can be both predictable and unsettling, revealing the fragile facade they cling to for their sense of self-worth.💪🏻

And that's why they get a thumbs down. And a 'do not recommend'. Yes, you can delete all these videos from your feed. There are much better sites with real people, real qualified people. This is just regurgitating what professionals provide and they 'steal' it.

I disagree with the part of this that says talk back to them. That's reacting

Wow! What a bunch of bullshit! Communication is key to developing strong societies. If you find yourself always being the giver and people go silent on you it’s probably more like they’ve gotten everything they needed from you, they’ve grown, matured annd moved into their greatness - all perfectly normal. If you find out that in addition to “going silent” on you they’re also making up stories about you to put you in a bad light then THEY’RE the narcissist, not you. Don’t sweat it, it’s called life. Continue giving and stay happy. The narcissist doesn’t have any feelings and they don’t care about anybody but themselves. You, however, will feel bad if people go silent on you and make up stories about you, that’s also normal. When and if they do come back in your life it’s because they want something. It’s up to you if you want to give to them again. True friends communicate with each other with words not silence.

I think that actively interacting with someone and communicating with them is a more effective approach. I generally see going silent as an immature thing to do, as the other person said, often narcissistic. If a person goes silent on me, I immediately lose respect for them. Of course, some people will do it to be playful, so it really is just down to the energies involved and not the actual behaviors.
