The stronger the green is the happy the people will be with the market. If you dont make enough bricks, there are more claypits on the island. Yeah John, I’d love to see you do a full attempt at this game! I would recommend doing the campaign if you do, as it’ll give you more focus with an interesting storyline to go along with it. As for the game itself, I’d suggest that you try not to speed your way down the production chains so rapidly. Anno is a generally laid back kinda game, so you wanna give your settlements time to grow and make sure you satisfy the needs of a lot of people at one level before moving onto the next. Don’t forget that the Workers also require all the needs of your Farmers too. So a Level 2 pop requires everything a Level 1 pop does AS WELL as the stuff for its Level 2 needs. And so on up the list. Feel free to use the blueprint mode (which is actually new in this game btw) to plan things in advance. Also, and I can’t stress this enough, you need to plan your warehouses carefully! You’d kinda worked this out yourself by the end of the episode, but each warehouse has a limit to how many carts it can load/offload at a time. When you first build it it’s 2, but you can upgrade it to 3 once you get your first Workers in, and again to 4 once you hit the next Pop type. So think carefully and plan ahead where you put things. You did at least get the brick road thing right, so I guess there’s that. Finally, in terms of previous anno games should you decide to have a look: Anno 2205: The previous Anno game before 1880, was quite different compared to previous titles in that it separated the City-building and Combat into different sectors. On the plus side however, you can build a city on the MOON! Anno 2070: Personally I think this is my favourite Anno game (although 1800 might dethrone it soon). I love the sci-fi aesthetic, and it was my first Anno game so I guess it’s special to me. Anno 1404: The earliest Anno game I’ve played. I know you’re a history buff, so you’ll probably get a kick out of it, although being the earliest game in the series it doesn’t have a lot of the Quality-Of-Life improvements that later games have. But if you can get past the slightly rough edges it’s a fine addition to the Anno series. Anyway, that’s enough for now. I’ll keep an eye out for more Anno from you in the future! Oymon
