Yeah, that’s it! I have sigma 16-28 f2.8 dg dn. AF is working so good. It's my first time using a full-frame camera with s5ii, so I had a lot of thoughts about choosing a lens. One of them was sigma 24-70. Eventually, I chose 16-28 which is light and has an inner zoom function, but I didn't know that 35mm focal length would be this desperate, haha! I think I will buy a 35mm or 50mm prime lens soon. The newly released 50mm f1.4 dgdn lens looks good in price and is smaller in size and weight compared to the previous version. I definitely think full-frame lenses are expensive. I hope there are more kinds of third-party lenses! Anyway, thank you for making good content. The color of you vid always awesome🔥
@@macedomedia Good point. I bought this lens with the same thought! If I use this lens in APS-C mode, I can finally use the focal length from 16mm to 42mm(Am I right? Anyway😅) But so far, I've only used this guy in a dark room and tasted the noise of APS-C mode, so I haven't used the focal length of more than 28mm properly. Clearly, the noise at low light shows overwhelmingly good performance in the full frame. Do you have any resistance to using APS-C mode on a full frame body? Wouldn't it be a big problem in a bright environment? I think I can judge that only when I go out for outdoor filming.
@@user-jy5tf1zo4b when I first started film it was on a Sony a6300 aspc size sensor then moved to A7S ii full frame but it cropped in 120 HD then moved to A7S iii and it was a great camera but I just wanted to try something new I wanted to improve my filmmaking that doesn’t require so much emphasis on slowmo
@@macedomedia Yeah, I think 50% or 60% slowmo is enough in my situation. In S5ii, we can use 48p on APS-C. So we can choose the 40 or 50 percent slowmo in "4K" what we using and need.

Could you please try panning shot.. This will make background move and check if it focus well on face. With static background it is lot easier to get autofocus correct for camera.
I have SigmaArt 18-35mm but with EF mount, I'll have to try it on S5II with an EF-L mount adapter! Can't wait to try it, wonder if autofocus will be possible?

How do you like this lens compared to the 18-35mm? Of course this is a full frame and a little bit longer reach. But what do you say about the quality?
It depends no what you're content is. If you're shooting vlogs the kit lens is great. I think if you are looking to do more professional shoots I would recommend getting a better lens of the bat.
Please tell me this is true, Panasonic s5 mark2 -1080p 4.2.2 10 bit 24/25/30fps FF (Full-Frame) use PDAF. 1080p 4.2.2. 10 bit 50/60fps FF use DFD (old contrast method). 1080p 50/60fps APS-C mode use PDAF.
Not only did it track you and pick you up great, but when it actually executed....it wasnt jarring !!! It was smooth, and natural-ish.

I really want a 16-28mm because when we film 4k 60 it’ll still be fairly wide due to the crop

I have the s5 mark I and tbh I think the auto focus isn’t terrible. Haven’t tried the II but I’m sure it’s better
