Ya, I really love that too. I love it even more now that I realize how difficult it is, I tried to sing along with it in the same way, and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be.
I love their humor. They're not only humble (and with those stellar voices, HOW?) but they also don't take themselves too seriously. You know they must rehearse like crazy but they make it seem effortless

@@justindavidson6917 you can measure it yourself if you want to, Tim as an example has a range that starts at G0 up to an A5 that's more than 5 octaves range, Austin starts at F2 and extends to a D6 etc...
One of the best compliments I can give is that I consistently forget this is an A Capella group. The sound is always so full that it sounds like there's music to go along with the good singing

My 13 year old niece has repeatedly told me that Country is boring. Home Free has changed that for her!!! Another reason to love Home Free... like I didn’t have enough excuses to repeatedly listen to Home Free!

I know this comment was from a year ago, so maybe you've seen their cover of Mayday, but if you haven't go check it out! Tim sings the tenor part for most, if not all of the song. It's one of my favorites!
Tim is a Bass Cantante/High Bass/Lyric Bass(not bass baritone). His voice is a type of Bass that can easily sing the high range of a bass. And also Tim is a professional and experienced singer/vocalist.
It's quite common for a bass voice to be able to sing higher notes as well. Their vocal folds tend to be longer and thus more capable of a broad range.
Can we just appreciate the beatboxer's amazing sounds? Better than an actual drum!

I had no idea that I needed a country acapella cover of this song with Tim Foust singing high notes in my life, but apparently I did...
At the 2:54 minute point in the song they execute an excellent barbershop harmony tag. That tag was from the song, Where The Black-Eyed Susan’s Grow. The tag was first sung in 1962, by the 1962 International Barbershop Harmony Quartet Champion named the Gala-Lads. In 1970, the quartet I sang with performed that same song along with its great tag in the Super Dome in New Orlean at an international barbershop quartet contest.
This band is amazing! great voices, from Tim´s bass to the yodelling of Austin. Great music!

Chelsey Lee that being said I think pentatonix has excellent harmony and they do amazing stuff with their voices, they're my favorite group. I love EVERYTHING about this tune: i already loved the original:lyrics & rhythm & melody. Now they acapella'd it which improves everything always for me anyways. They added their visual humour, they added that genius yodel, that smouldering glances and the top notch vocals plus the wonderful music and video edit. It's just beyond perfect. I'm going to listen to it right now -for the 8th time in a row.
