These guys deserve to be just as "Big" as Pentatonix honestly. You guys are amazing, and Tim, your vocals are just incredible. Can't wait to see yall in concert!

Ashely Burke Yes they are different audiences, but they deserve to have just as much followers and popularity, they have just as much talent and sound incredible. I wanna see them performing for the president!
As for me, I still like PTX but I'm more impressed, entertained and generally happier with HF now because they seem to do a much better job with showing off all of their voices and skills. They're not afraid to change things up, let everyone have their moment, experiment... For instance, they have a lot of songs that show off Tim's voice and range, they don't use him in background only most of the time and I think that's one of the things that sets them apart from all the other aca groups.
They do the same with Chance now although I would love to hear Adam, too.
Another reason why I prefer HF to PTX is their original songs. I've enjoyed all of them as much as I have the covers. I think PTX had some original songs, too but I didn't seem to enjoy those as much as I did their covers.
And I've never been a country fan so the fact HF made me enjoy mostly country-style music speaks volumes, too. :)
PTX and Home Free both have fantastic individuals but the best GROUP is Voctave. 100000%.

Three octaves is an average for a singer. Tim’s range is MUCH larger
his vocal range is actually 5 octaves (C♯1-A5)

Having been a Garth Brooks fan since I was only 13 months old and having my life saved because God brought his music into my life, I have a very hard time accepting covers of his work by any artist because they usually lack the fiery passion that he brings to every song he sings and they try to do what only he can do. However, you guys in Home Free have made this song your own and have not tried to be Garth because you are your own group with your own sound. Therefore, you have brought honor to his song and hereby have official cover rights to any of his stuff from me. haha :P

Streisand has consistently the most focused delivered tone and intonation in her voice. Her voice is perfection incarnate.
Pentatonix does not reach her level, but Home Free does not and never did sing this way. Never even tried to; isn't that obvious?
But the nature of Home Free's music is 'warmer'. I think that may be what you are feeling, Pentatonix is not particularly 'warm'. I think their closest to warm was their old recording of 'Little Drummer Boy', which in the video they're on a hill top.
What I see is it seems like since Pentatonix started winning awards they stopped having fun with the music and became “serious musicians”. These guys are still enjoying themselves.
