Hey thanks for spending the time on this vid to share with the rest of us. A lot of GREAT ideas on here. I'm considering my first ebike and with the sales on right now on RadPower, I'm kinda headed that way. Good to hear from someone thats tested it out.....many thanks!
kamots22 I’ve been looking at all of the different brands for months. I think they have the best bike for the price. Just ordered 2 - Rover & Mini Step Thru for the wife. Current deal is great.
I cut some holes in a $15 / 16" x 17" x 11" Ibera Bicycle Triangle Frame Bag and put the whole battery and battery brace inside of it, fits perfectly and makes the battery less auspicious, as if you just have a black bike bag with orange detail and matches the bike perfectly, also keeps weather off the battery and allows for some storage.
Adamm. Great review. My 2020 is in transit to my house now. Can't wait. I did have a tip on that right hand grip issue you are having. Pull it off and put some aqua net hair spray (or some other hairspray) in the handle and put it back on while it's still wet. Let it dry in the position u want. It will stay put after that.
I've had a 2019 Black Rad Rover for a couple of days over one month now... and like you, I love the bike. You could probably change the color of the battery pack from black to white with a little paint or? The hand grips on my bike are totally glued on and don't move..Perhaps a couple of drops of super glue would tighten your right hand grip. I love the "walk" mode on this bike. Where I live on the Mojave Desert there are plenty of places that I prefer walking the bike rather than risking a fall in deep sand.
Adamm; I've been looking to buy an e-bike for a few weeks now, and Rad Rover has definitely won me over. Your video is one of the best I've seen. Excellent video. You may not like the white, but it really looks terrific with the complementary browns and blacks. Someone complimented your voice - I agree with that assessment. Thank you.
michaelskopes glad to hear!! They currently have free shipping promo this week ($175) and if you ask any owner you can ask to use their friend referral for an additional $50 off your order! An awesome bike indeed. While I do like the white - my father just ordered a black one are days ago. I am getting the new black one and he is getting my white one with $300 cash. What I really wanted was the black with tan and now I'll have it come Monday! Thanks for the subscribe and I'll be posting up a few videos soon for some new accessories I got! Have a great day!
Two days in and rainy weather keeps me from getting more than eleven miles on my Rover. My first ride, at night after assembly, was 1.5 miles between downpours. The next day, I was able to make a ten mile ride that really gave me a taste of just how great this ROVER is!
Thanks for showing the front fender screw set up. I knew you were talking me not being able to put the fender correctly. Lol. Awesome review as always. Your voice is so soothing and smooth. I really enjoy listening to you. I have about 375 miles with mine and i was thinking about doing a another video at 500 miles. I did order hitch you told me to get for my x5 since bmw dealer wanted $1000 for a class 2 hitch. Local installer wants $300 to install but total still will be half the cost of dealer. I also ordered a bike rack called Thule pro 2. Its best one from Thule for a fatbike. I really wanted your model but since i need it pay for hitch I thought i will save a $100. Anyway keep those video coming. Take care!
No problem, Pete. I'm here to help! You should do a 500 mile review! I'm sure the guys at Rad Power bikes watch these videos from time to time and refine/adjust their next product launches based on consumer experiences :) I would consider getting a quote from a local auto shop to install your hitch. Should only take less than an hour to install. You could probably do it yourself with a lending hand but either way - sounds like you saved some $$$ and no one can argue that fact! Will you be doing a review on the Thule Pro 2? I almost got that one myself. Not too many reviews of that one online from what I remember.
I also covered up all the decals on mine (black version) using Black Matte Car Vinyl Wrap, it was pretty easy to do and looks great and clean, if you did want an inexpensive relatively easy way to make it black.
I bought some 3M black matte vinyl and wasn't happy with the blend of it.. This was just setting it on. Haven't actually applied it yet. I am about to reach out to my vinyl vendor and see if he can cut me some exact fit "radrover" and "rad power bikes" decals in dark gray to help cut the orange lettering. Maybe before the camp trip this weekend I'll black out the letters with the 3M matte and see how it looks..
I used this and am very pleased with it www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L9JAS80/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this is the bag I covered my battery with www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006JA8WEG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thank you!! I will have some new content I hope later this month while on vacation.. I need something to do so hopefully I can touch on some stuff that commenters want to see/get more detail on! I see you also subscribed to my channel - Big thanks for that! I'm trying to reach 100 subs so I can get my own youtube link so it's easier to share. -Adamm
5:18 Curious, you pause for a second as if to let us hear the Bike bell, but then you play the music loudly over it so that you can't hear it. Otherwise loved the review, just thought that was worth mentioning. Thanks for the vid!
Very good vid and like the Accessories/locations etc... I'm floating between the Rover or the folding mini as I"m Full Time in an RV, Truck Camper, but plan on using mostly on trails/dirt roads etc. Have to carry it up some steps to put inside a Camper so concerned about weight. Your review helps, thanks much... hava good one.
Very informative and concise review! Thank you so much for providing the links to all the equipment... you saved us SO much time searching for these items. (I couldn't find the seat at Walmart or Amazon, but that's not a big deal.)
No problem!!! The seats, at least the ones I got, are a bit tough to find. Took a month to find the one I got in black. The tan one I got at walmart on clearance.. probably stopped carrying it. That was 3 or so years ago...
I really like the RadRover and got opportunities to ride it numerous times as a friend of mine owns one. I think it's an excellent value of quality versus price. But I took a pass on the bike as it felt too small. I found that the Juiced company's RipCurrent-S is offered in XL frame size and eventually bought one of those. The Rip Current has more gears, hydraulic brakes, brighter light, and a 52v/19.5Ah battery. But, for $1000 more. To me it was all about the XL frame as I think the more modest features on the RadRover are well more than fine. I'm confident most buyers of the RadRover will like their bikes as my friend has over 2500 miles on his and is very happy with it.
Well done review, and thanks for sharing links to all your accessories. For your slipping right grip, I suggest: remove it, spray metal handlebar with hairspray, and reinstall while it is still wet. It'll take 3-4 days for hairspray to completely dry, but when it does, it should not move anymore.
Thanks!! That's not a bad idea.. I'll have to try that. It's just the right side that slips up and I assume it's because of the frequent pressure/twisting of the throttle. I'll try the hair spray thing within the next week or so. I appreciate it!!
Honestly probably the best review I’ve seen of this bike anywhere. Love your setup especially with your blade on the cargo rack. Thanks for supporting the Blue!
One of the best reviews I've seen on a bike and with a nice music. If you had added a little driving on the bike with max gears and assist, it would be flawless. Thanks!
hey, this is right on. i have a rad wagon and a buddy has a rad city and the headlight does suck a lot. i use it but also another light that works much better. dude, i know you seem to be into good deals, but that bike is expensive. you should protect it better. i know you are into real unobtrusive stuff too, but you need to upgrade your security. its not sufficient. that kryptonite keeper is not enough, and that u lock is a joke. it looks cool and has some cool features, but heres what i use for the wagon, kryptonite 1510 new York lock and chain. its the fagheddaboudit series. i have a ulock made by bully. it has a tamper alarm on it and a pager that goes off with in 2000 feet if its messed with and its sensitive. it works. i also have a smaller chain like yours for the wheel or for quick lockups where i will be able to see the bike. you have enough power on the bike that the extra weight isnt an issue. i want my bike to stay where i put it, id hate to see yours get nipped because of a small chain cut with bolt cutters.
I see you mentioned trying it on the beach. I’m also interested but have real reservations about what sand will do to all that expensive stuff. Do you plan to try and hose it off .
I have a 2016 Rad Rover with 9,000+ miles on it and love it. The 2016 had a controller that gives you a variable boost depending on how steep the hill is or if you hit a head wind. I wish they still offered that feature as an option. My wife has a 2018 City step through and they would not sell it with the same controller. In my opinion, that is a huge mistake.
If the battery sticks out against the white, why not cover it with some white or gray sticky plastic film. I have the black rad River and it's nearly too dark
with the black fenders, black rims, black lower fork suspension, black battery, black rear rack and the black pedal drive your bike to my opinion is totally beautiful being all black it would have a to plain of a look. Well done and honest review Thanks
The small plate on the rear rack is a better place for a rear light as it wouldn't be blocked by your luggage. The one you have on the seat post would be obscured if you had anything on the rack. The location of your tire repair kit and pump would not work for me as it would get too messed up with road debris, water and snow spun off by the front tire, especially since your front fender is too short. Just saying... But thanks for the review!
I was thinking the same thing as well. But the stealth factor is pretty cool in itself. And for the cable I have some black 3M vinyl that I may wrap a small chunk with. I'm keeping it exposed for the time being however to see how it progresses.. It's not chewing through the metal yet tho, thankfully.
When you said 'just looking at it I want to ride' put a smile on every owners face. We know something. I've had a mini for only a few months, and am already thinking of getting a Rover or wagon. Your videos and other delirious owners convinced me an answered questions. It was like I already had one. I mentioned you and alaska johns work when I picked mine up, and they nodded, they love you guys. The shop is clean, but out front bikes are everywhere waiting to be picked up. Good People moving up.
That's pretty cool in itself! Glad my videos had that positive impact! I go onto youtube often to research and review and the lack of this bicycle made me feel like I needed to help spread the word. This bike has changed my life in more ways than one and glad I was able to share my experience and thoughts all while helping to motivate! I kinda want to have one of each of their bikes - I could use them all :) Each serve their function which means Rad Power Bikes is doing it right!
Just got my RadRover yesterday. Watched your fantastic video. Only link you forgot is a link to the flashlight holder. Do you think you can send that to me. I'm going to buy some of the other suggested items, why not get the flashlight holder as well. And you didn't talk about the knife you have on there. LOL
Great video Adam. I purchased the Rad Rover over a month ago and currently have 25 miles on the bike, very new. I wanted to add my 2 cents to this comment area. I love the white frame! It shows off the bike really well and the orange accent stands out, my preference. As far as the spacers for the rack, I called Rad bike and they told me they are not necessary. The spacers were part of the old rack system and needed, however they continue to ship the spacers with the new rack, but are not to be used. The plate on the back of the rack i found a good light that bolts nicely to this plate. I agree on the seat, it is not comfortable. I am heading the Walmart to look at the Bell seat your mentioned. Regarding the bottle holders, the two screws on the top frame are not bottle holder dimensions. You cannot attach a standard bottle cage on the top frame using both screws. The distance between the screws is about 1/4 inch further apart than a bottle cage. I believe the crews will be used for a future bike basket that will mount to the frame and not the fork, we'll see. Excellent video! thank you for putting out this information. Scott
Scott Gifford thanks for the reply Scott! Hopefully you find the seat at walmart..Otherwise you may need to eBay it. But there are plenty of choices out there - sadly it's hard to try before you buy when it comes to seats.. And good call on the bottle holder bolt spacing. I thought I measured them with the bolt spacing below the frame. That's all off mixed memory tho so good call if they are not true spacing. But aren't most bottle holders adjustable? I I have a bottle opener on the one side and a steel plate on the other which holds my magnetic canvas bottle koozie. Hope you enjoy your bike tho! Look for my new video in the coming weeks. We are camping out on the beach soon and it'll be the first time my radrover seen sand.
I attached two bottle cages on each side with only the one screw and the other screw is anchoring the metal flange on the cage. (works) My cage at the widest point is too short for the screws. I live in Sarasota FL, I took the bike on the beach yesterday and it rode fabulously. this bike is excellent off road. It goes through brush and tall grass with ease. take care
Adamm Jarvis great videos just trying to help. I have a pretty strong mechanical background. In the video someone mentioned there's some rubbing or chafing on one of the cables, wires or both going through the frame. Here's my thought and fix on that lumber store or auto parts store get a foot of rubber fuel hose or vacuum hose just big enough to go over that cable/wires that's rubbing cut new rubber hose down center and plastic zip tie. Push rubber hose up in frame pull out and cut on one end carefull not to cut bike cables or wires. Cut rubber long ways to go over cables/wires. After installing rubber hose in frame to cover the wires or cable you could use clear black or white silicone to help keep in place but squeeze the Silicon up inside the frame. Some dollar stores carry 100% silicone or the hardware stores for a little more money. And for Extra Protection and more skill level for the do-it-your selfer. You could put a metal stainless steel brake line cut at both ends and cut down the center or cut more long ways to fit to put over the rubber hose depending on the room if any and then 100% silicon. If you use just use an ordinary metal brake line it will rust and will discolor other things underneath it. That's why I would recommend stainless steel it does not rust or a copper pipe no rust either from the hardware store. Now cutting a metal brake line or piece of metal to go over top of the rubber hose for ultimate protection. It will take a metal cutting saw, Dremel tool or some automotive garages could do this. That's a bit more skill level to do that. And some vice grips to lightly hold the brake line horizontally and vertically still while you cut it down the center. And of course file and deburr the brake line on the inside and out. And slide that up in the frame where the cables and wires go if it will go. Hopefully this helps keep bringing us the good videos.
Great review, thanks. Going for the 2019 white RadRover very soon. Like that seat, may pick one up. Like the bar lock, the phone holder as well, and the mini pump. Thanks again !
Yes Adam soon as i get them i will do the review for Thule T2 pro rack. My friend who I introduced to ebike got a mini rover and flux mtb just got this rack. It really looked strong and had all the features i wanted minus the bike work stand like yours. I also could not find any user review so i will put one up. Did you ever found out where that noise came from your rack?
Nice! Honestly the "trail doc" that is on the Kuat is not really practical with a heavy bike like ours. A useless feature for us with heavy/bulky bikes. And no not yet - still waiting for a reply. I think its fairly normal given the weight of the bikes but I'm still waiting to see what Kuat says.. two business days now without a reply.
I have seen the Rad power bikes around. Cool website except once you go on then they seem to infect your computer with re-targeting spam so be prepared to get frustrated with that. I actually shopped around and bought a PIM Electric Bicycle. Seemed to be a bit more solid with great parts like Magura Fork and Magura Hydraulic disc brakes for about the same price. I install kits on ebikes sometimes but wanted to buy a legit ebike so PIM was my choice on a budget. Thanks!
Adamm, I like your setup. I didn't quite catch the name on the side of the bag above the battery, or the pump/repair kit. Can you supply those, please. Thanks, Tony
I realllllllly want to but. while the bike is in warranty period (1yr from manufacture and 1yr extended through American Express) - those mods will have to wait until 2018, unfortunately.
Hey, looked on Rads site and I can’t find the bottle opener. Deal breaker🤨🙁. Just kidding🤣. Just ordered a Rover and a Mini Step Thru for my wife. Good review. Haven’t seen anybody who doesn’t love the bike. For the price I think they have the best product. I’ve tried all the local bike shops and anything close to these Rad Bikes are $2000 - $4000. With their Black Friday sale it was a no brainer.
Can you tell me more about the bottle opener attachment? Am I understanding correctly that the mounting point was already there for a bottle holder and it just happened to match up with the bottle-opener holes?
id say glue a piece of rubber, to the top of that hole where the cable is coming through just to make it padded. That would solve that problem I am sure, as long as it holds. even if its very thin and small i think it would work.
Hi Adamm! Thanks for the great video! I just got the 2018 RadRover and your video made my final decision for me: (Black) I have the Thule T1 platform bike rack similar to yours so I want to modify my front fender. Can you tell tell me how you cut yours to look so good? Band , jig saw? I followed instructions in installing the rack and the old manual said to use a 8 mm box wrench on the lower nuts.. darn near stripped them until I realized the 2018 uses a 6 mm lock nut now. I took it to Huntington Beach (CA) yesterday for my sons surf contest and rode 12 miles on the paved sidewalk there. Got a ton of compliments and got yelled at by the lifeguards for speeding ! First time in my life I new there were speed limit signs for bikes! Thanks again Adamm.. probably will be back with more questions.
Tom Hennessy hey there Tom!! That’s awesome! Glad you’re enjoying the new toy! We are thinking of buying the 2018 model to pair with our 2017. For the fender see my video I made. Hope it helps! ua-cam.com/video/o0CegmD_mOo/v-deo.html
Is that a Subaru Outback you have your bike rack attached to? Who installed your hitch? Uhauls hitch receiver is about 6” under the rear bumper under the car, which causes me some concern. Where is your hitch receiver located?
Hi Adamm...my comments disappeared in this thread for some reason...could you please post the link for your modification of the front fender for the bike rack..Thanks Tom Hennessy
Christopher Smith I'm unsure of the knife to be honest. I bought it off Amazon and installed it. Unfortunately going down a very very bumpy road it fell off. Either I didn't clip it in all the way or it was the roadway. It was just a cheap knife. $10 I think.
I have a lectric xp. I really do like the grips and seat.Maybe wrap a little electrical tape ariynd handle before u slide grip on. Make it little more snuh, huh?
Hi,it says the battery will only do 800 charging cycles? How much do they charge for a new one.Seems like it would only last maybe 2 years..With a daily charge, that's 365 charging cycles a year ,thats 730 cycles for 2 yrs.,getting close to the life of that battery.Seriously considering buying one. Thanks for your info. 👍
A charge cycle is a full charge. If you ride 5 days a week and only use 20% of the battery every ride, every week would equal 1 charge cycle. 20 x 5 = 100
Thanks for your honest review and showing of this awesome bike..really ibterested in purchasing one..would love to know the total distance you get off of it on one single charge with no pedal assist..thanks👍
Hey PAT! This bike is awesome - I actually have a black Radrover now lol Plasti-dip black seemed like too much work after a bit. But I LOVE this bike! It actually fueled the start of my company, www.1859NW.com , which makes accessories for this bike and others. We're releasing products slowly as we grow. That's the kind of influence this bike can bring! If you have a moment join the Facebook group "rad power bikes owners group" on Facebook and you'll get a lot of great advice. Best bang for the buck!
Great video explaining the bike and the accessories. I have a question: I’m very interested in pulling the trigger and getting the Fat Bike, my Question is I’m 6’3” slender build so would fit of the bike be ok for me? I know I’m 1” over the recommend height on Rad’s sizing chart but Rad says I should be ok. Rad sells a new higher seat post that is spring loaded but out of stock currently so I could always get one of those if needed but the stock bike in your opinion would it fit? Thanks
How can you say not to buy it unless the motor gets an upgrade? Haven’t you seen the overweight 250-300 lbs. people that buy and use the bike. I’m 6’3” 177 lbs.
Buy it you're fine I inflated the tires to 25 PSI and it rides fine but can't go up a semi steep hill but if you're 180 plus 60 lbs that the bike is you should be fine. It's worth the price .
What is that smooth music playing int the back ground. I would like to listen to it when I’m riding my Radcity bike. I’m about to hit 1000 miles on it and it’s been a great bike.
In ref to your rear fender: what do you think about attaching velcro to not only the bike rack as you have, but also to the fender which would then lock together?
I thought about this. You could attach velcro to the fender (maybe hot glue or epoxy?) and go that route if it became an issue down the road. But the way I have my fender attached and the pressure points created (no idea how, just luck of the draw when installing I guess) I only needed the one soft velcro strap to eliminate the noise. The main reason I attached the velcro to the rack and not the fender was because I am also toying/trying the idea of finding material to make the rack softer for sensitive items and help protect the finish.
It seems to have stopped. I think it was the rack that I used before.. it hasn't progressed any since then (the hanging rack, did a review video of it)
That's a very nice bike I would really love to own one it. But how does it perform in the rain I know most people don't like to ride a bike in the rain but sometimes you have no choice.
Lol awesome ebike everything is good well take the time explore consider painting the battery white you just ( might be surprised ) on the outcome ! Enjoy ,!
Great review. You mentioned all the important features. Thanks. Great music too- what is the group's name ? I would like to know how loud the electric rear hub motor is- quiet or loud and annoying ? Cheers, Don.
Just a cheap $6 knife I got off amazon. It is a mini kabar look a like. It's not very sharp but it fits its needs for last ditch effort protection or a tool on the trail you could use and if it broke you wouldn't care much for its loss. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0096Z65WM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Mostly! You'll have to install the front wheel (quick release fasteners) and attach the handlebars. Adjust the seat and you should be good to go! I aired up my tires tho. I don't think they were flat but they weren't up as high of PSI as I wanted (around 20psi)
I almost bought a Rad...they are probably the big seller it being a pretty good deal. More research showed me there's some problems. My biggest issue was they advertise the motor at a higher power than it actually is. Check out Bolton Bikes...he does a video on this ! I chose a Surface604 Shred. Several hundred more but what you get is top notch!!
That video of his is literally a joke. No problem with the motor or anything else out of the norm. It's a bike. Keep that in mind first and foremost. His video is nothing but smoke. You can take two V6 motors and place them side by side from two different manufacturers and get different results archiving the same power. As long as it's putting out the power what difference does it really make not splitting hairs. Either way a lot of the bikes on market use same part suppliers and it's hard to go wrong these days with any reputable brand. I'd focus my efforts on finding the company with the best customer service as regardless the bike you'll always run into one issue or another.
@@AdammJarvis nothing wrong with what your saying my friend but you seem a little defensive. Mrbbe it's me...I forgot they were bikes we werr talking about!! My bad...try to remember! Bolton Bikes review is a good review and if you watched it you'd see his point. On paper my Shred and the Rad are listed with the same motor. All you need to do is place them side by side...oh, they're both Bafang so yeh. I'll admit the one upside you mentioned is warrenty issues. Rad being American is better on this but still slow. I'm a DIY guy so as long as I get a good bike to start with I'll keep her goin. In the end whatever floats yur boat buddy. Just trying to share info!!!
Yeah, normally I quite like the black 'tactical' look, but this bike really does look good in white! Just discovered this whole scene recently, and still thinking about it, but one of these puppies could well be in my future!
If those are Kenda tires you'll probably never need your tire repair kit. it looks nice though. Kendas have been excellent for the last 18 years of ATV riding.
Hi, I like your idea. Can you tell me where you cut the holes in the bag? Any pictures
Thanks
I appreciate it and enjoy the new ride!!
I've had a 2019 Black Rad Rover for a couple of days over one month now... and like you, I love the bike. You could probably change the color of the battery pack from black to white with a little paint or? Hands down one of the best reviews I've seen so far. Thanks!
-Adamm

Curious, you pause for a second as if to let us hear the Bike bell, but then you play the music loudly over it so that you can't hear it.
You could dip the battery white if you like the white but just want to kill the contrast with the frame, and battery.
Adamm, thanks for the great videos that you make. You have actually helped me decide to purchase a 2018 Rad Rover just like the one in this video.
Thanks buddy!! I just opened up a ebike rental business at the coast featuring 20 rad power bikes! Www.1859NWRentals.com -great product
One of the best reviews I've seen on a bike and with a nice music.
If you had added a little driving on the bike with max gears and assist, it would be flawless. Thanks!
I've watched your vids a few times,...and must thank you for maintaining a 'clean' bike! Bravo....
Watched a couple of your videos. I have nothing but positive comments. Well done sir....
Bobby Shah much appreciated!!! Thank you!
hey, this is right on. i have a rad wagon and a buddy has a rad city and the headlight does suck a lot. i use it but also another light that works much better. dude, i know you seem to be into good deals, but that bike is expensive. you should protect it better. i know you are into real unobtrusive stuff too, but you need to upgrade your security. its not sufficient. that kryptonite keeper is not enough, and that u lock is a joke. it looks cool and has some cool features, but heres what i use for the wagon, kryptonite 1510 new York lock and chain. its the fagheddaboudit series. i have a ulock made by bully. it has a tamper alarm on it and a pager that goes off with in 2000 feet if its messed with and its sensitive. it works. i also have a smaller chain like yours for the wheel or for quick lockups where i will be able to see the bike. you have enough power on the bike that the extra weight isnt an issue. i want my bike to stay where i put it, id hate to see yours get nipped because of a small chain cut with bolt cutters.
I have the black rad River and it's nearly too dark
with the black fenders, black rims, black lower fork suspension, black battery, black rear rack and the black pedal drive your bike to my opinion is totally beautiful
being all black it would have a to plain of a look.
But thanks for the review!
ammo box would look cool
White is the most visible color on the road. Thanks for the heads up on cable wear, vibration ? Maybe wrap it in hockey stick tape.
Wow, what a fantastic review. You can do this for a living. 😊
Maybe! My angle is close up detailed reviews. I should be starting back up this summer! Stay tuned!
Excellent video. Thinking about getting this bike. Thanks.
Great review, thanks. Going for the 2019 white RadRover very soon. Like that seat, may pick one up. Like the bar lock, the phone holder as well, and the mini pump. Thanks again !
Thanks! Be sure to subscribe as I'll be making more videos with the 2019 as well. Today I'm working on an axe mount.. 😎🌲
I did a lot of research before buying an ebike and I bought a black RADROVER and I have loved riding it.
The plate on the rear of the rack is for a red light or reflector.
Great video! Just about ready to order one. Was going to go with a Luna, but I think the lower power/simplicity of this one may be more my style.
creepycharly thanks! Order soon! This past week they had free shipping ($175). The 750w is the legal limit in the United states
Free shipping? They don't now....
Thanks!
Just bought mine today can’t wait to get it and i went for the black one.
Adamm, I like your setup. I didn't quite catch the name on the side of the bag above the battery, or the pump/repair kit. Can you supply those, please. Thanks, Tony
Great video! Do you still have the bike? If so how many miles? If not how many miles and what issues before you sold it.
Jump up to a 52V 20AH pack to take advantage of the full 1300W peak potential of that motor with almost double the range.
I realllllllly want to but. while the bike is in warranty period (1yr from manufacture and 1yr extended through American Express) - those mods will have to wait until 2018, unfortunately.
Where do you get the 52V 20AH pack?
You build it, or order from Luna.
Nice review Adamm...for the Amex warranty extension do you need to register the bike with American Express?
Hey, looked on Rads site and I can’t find the bottle opener. Deal breaker🤨🙁. Just kidding🤣. Just ordered a Rover and a Mini Step Thru for my wife. Good review. Haven’t seen anybody who doesn’t love the bike. For the price I think they have the best product. I’ve tried all the local bike shops and anything close to these Rad Bikes are $2000 - $4000. With their Black Friday sale it was a no brainer.
If I buy one of these bikes, I'll set it up just like yours. Looks great.
Can you tell me more about the bottle opener attachment? Am I understanding correctly that the mounting point was already there for a bottle holder and it just happened to match up with the bottle-opener holes?
That is correct.
Adamm Jarvis that’s awesome!!
id say glue a piece of rubber, to the top of that hole where the cable is coming through just to make it padded.
I've had mine for 2 years..love it....I carry several knives also..and a 9mm S&W concealed =)
jesus Christ, were do you ride?😨
JDL HAHAA
Is that a Subaru Outback you have your bike rack attached to?
Who installed your hitch?
Uhauls hitch receiver is about 6” under the rear bumper under the car, which causes me some concern.
Where is your hitch receiver located?
Ford Explorer
What is your choice of music playing in the background ? It’s awesome..
You should put the Walmart taillight on the rear of the rack and leave the stock one on the seat post
Hi Adamm...my comments disappeared in this thread for some reason...could you please post the link for your modification of the front fender for the bike rack..Thanks Tom Hennessy
Nicely done. Question..... what kind of knife is that on the rear rack, and did it come with the kydex scabbard?
FYI, cell phone holder link no longer works.
Adamm Jarvis thanks so much for the info👍👍👍I look forward to checking it out
Awesome bike & great review.
with the battery removed, could you safely put the bike up on a car roof rack? Thinking the Thule Criterium.
Without the battery the bike is about 50 lbs.
awesome vid
i am about change the brake to BB7. more stopping power.
Where did you get the fat tire fenders
Rad power bikes short fenders.
Doesn't look like they sell em anymore
Love the bottle opener
Bottle cap remover?!?? 😆😂! Love it! 🥂🍻
very insightful adam
Does anyone know how much of a price hike on the 20 will be if any. Where I live it will be getting cold real quick now so I may wait till next Feb.
The plate on the back is for you and your light
Just finished your videp and only had two questions...did u get yur 50 shekels? 2. Have u hit 200miles yet !!!
I have an I have!!! THANK YOU!!!
Roger that
Phenomenal review. Great job
that was a good review on the bike thank you very much
1:31 oh and that seat and them handle grips don't stick out ?? lol
Does the LCD screen have the option for metric measurements? That is, kilometres rather than miles?
Yes it does
Excellent video. Interesting and well thought out mods and add-ons. You covered about everything except the knife. I liked that.
Very nice piece of kit. Now, how cool would an ammo can look on there?
went to their website they only offer blk or wht with this model?
How is that cable that was being cut by the bike frame that you showed in the video ?
It seems to have stopped. I think it was the rack that I used before.. it hasn't progressed any since then (the hanging rack, did a review video of it)
That's a very nice bike I would really love to own one it. But how does it perform in the rain I know most people don't like to ride a bike in the rain but sometimes you have no choice.
It's great! Check out my wet fenders review. Everything is weather sealed. Just don't take it into the lake..
been looking for one of those saddles cant find one no where just ordered the same bike
What size is this bike the one I bought is 12 to up I hope I got the right size
what knife is that mounted to the side.. looks like a small kabar.
Cool rig, well done review
Love the Kbar on the rack!!
Ammo can that you can lock like a trunk and be water proof? Great ride..
Where did you get those fenders and will they fit on a mini?
They will not fit the mini. Fenders can be bought directly from Rad Power bikes
Do these bikes ship fully assembled?
Sorry if I came off defensive. Sometimes text can be a bit too bold. I didn't mean to come off as rude
@@AdammJarvis sh'all good bro!!!
paint the battery white or wrap that guy :) simple !! :) i like the white actually !
Yeah, normally I quite like the black 'tactical' look, but this bike really does look good in white! Just discovered this whole scene recently, and still thinking about it, but one of these puppies could well be in my future!
Dont you have a usb out on the display?
Where you get the corner bag?
What’s the weight of the bike as is ?
61 lbs
where did you purchase your shimano rotor?
Amazon
Where did you purchase the phone mount?
I have one similar on my Yamaha FJR. Ebay has tons of them.
I like the bike but never received the $50 amazon card.
Ammo can for your rack storage
What are them grips like when wet?
If those are Kenda tires you'll probably never need your tire repair kit. it looks nice though. Kendas have been excellent for the last 18 years of ATV riding.
A lot of folks get flats. Origin8 supercells are where it's at. Kenda tires have to much exposed thin area between the tred
