- This is the full routine I used for 30 days to become fluent in French after years without success. And the following video shows a time lapse of my progression during those 30 days : • How I Got Fluent in Fr... . I still use the speaking exercise from this routine everyday to maintain my level. What I learned in creating the exercises I used in this routine have become a major part of my language learning experience and my journey to becoming a polyglot. If you have ever wondered how to learn a language or how to learn French specifically, I believe this video has some gems that will bring you closer to your answer.

Not only did he learn the language but has impeccable presentation and gives concise directions for other learners. Hands down one of the best YT language learning videos out there.

This is so intimidating. This dude was not fucking around in the least and that's why he became fluent. No wonder I'm still not able to speak after all these years. I've been literally fucking around.
Lmaooooo same
All I do all day is watch videos on how to learn a language rather than learning the language.
Me too ..... but for the last year, I have practiced at lot and made huge progress. It's never too late. 😀
Same. I’m on it now.
Let's make this the motto. No more fucking around.
I'm a native French speaker and you're good! But 8h a day is just insane
Not if it’s spread out throughout the day
Même l'accent ?
Pls how will you know a native speaker
Mostly the accent. And also the synthax he uses. It's very hard for non-native to connect easily sentences without a break.

During my second recording, I was already a lot better and able to use new vocabulary! From day 1 to day 7 I improved much more than in 6 months of previous learning. It felt like I was rusty at the beginning, but after a while I was completely able to talk about a wide variety of topics in French! Thank you for changing my life as a language learner!
It really works? Are you able to hold some conversations in French?
I'm thinking of using this to learn some Spanish
@@naitoo37m63 It really works. It's like playing the guitar. If you spend a huge amount of hours trying to play a new song, you will eventually succeed in only a few days. Otherwise If you spend only some minutes a day and only learnig theory, guess what? You'll never be able to play the song.

Basically
Steps for fluency in French for 30 days
Speaking exercise for 4hrs
1. Tell a story for 5 mins in French
2. Review the story you told and Write down the words and sentences you couldn’t say in French.
3. Learn the words and sentences you didn’t understand or couldn’t say also learn new words for your story
4. Repeat the story 2 or 3 times and if you see your better and have more understanding in the 3rd time you reached your goal
5. Repeat the exercise with a new story every week
6. Study the words you’ve learned with your new story’s
Accent exercise 1 hr
1. Read an article or a book in French (read out loud)
2. if you come to a word that you cannot pronounce put it on google translate and try to master the pronunciation.
3. If it’s a word that is a common word you use often put it in a list of words you use a lot so you can study the words later.
4. After 2 paragraphs of reading listen to a audio of a person u want the same accent as for 2 mins then continue reading
Vocabulary exercise 1 hr
1. Write the new words you encountered in speaking and accent exercises (now you’ll have a list of new words to understand)
2. Go over the new words you learned
Listening exercise 1hr or 2hrs
1. Find tv shoes or movies to watch in French to allow you to practice comprehension in a new level
2. Anytime you watch something French use at first English subtitles then watch with no subtitles or with French subtitles.
3. Watching movies or tv shows learn the informal pronunciation.
After your done watch an anime episode for 20 mins!! Or whatever🤷🏻♀
but if you understand none of the words wont you just not know any and have to google them all?
I'm Korean, and I have no idea how I learned English. When I try to learn a different language, like French, it's so much more difficult than it was when learning English, and my brain shuts down completely. Even following this routine, I always forget what I learned a minute ago, and the motivation to continue dies every second.
English is everywhere. It is the international language of commerce and communication. Your brain knows this
@@cigh7445 just because it’s everywhere doesn’t mean people brain will automatically understand it. It’s still a language and people have to learn it
@@sasorah6414 language acquisition is primarily achieved through constant exposure and immersion, many people find that English is significantly easier to learn because the internet has a lot of English (Around 26% of the internet) and they just pick it up naturally because their brain “needs” to use it.

I did study languages at university level back home but there’s nothing like learning via immersion. So sincerely impressed by your dedication… and your hard work has paid of!!!!
I am native too but I don't understand what he says in French, why do people think prononciation is not absolutely necessary? Like "Go like you heard it, more or less, you'll be understood anyway" but no...

What I loved is that you don’t sell any overpriced language app or course. It all boils down to discipline, consistency and putting the time and effort to improve your skills constantly. There is no fancy method unless you are not willing to work. You are a true inspiration for me. I am in this journey with German!
my entire first session be like: "uh....umm...uh....um...."
Update?
right noone ever talks about how to do this. Do i just say everything in english then translate it all into TL then study those words then try to speak again the next day until I can say a sentence?
@@Z5Z5Z5 This tactic (just judging by how he spoke on day one) is likely for once you already have some foundational skills in the language you want to learn. Even if it is just bare bones, "my name is...", "I like...", "I've had a good/bad day." etc. Just do as much as you can. It also doesn't necessarily have to be 30 minutes. You could start in the very beginning with 15 minutes, or whatever works for you!
Hope this helps in some way! Good luck learning!! :D
This is the real learning process of foreign language. People must expose themselves as they can during the learning. I am impressed, thanks!
So true !!
Where's the exposure though? That's too much of speaking, not enough of exposure. You're not doing it to be a good French actor, I assume

I think 8 hours a day is a bit much but the more hours you put in a day the faster you’ll learn a language if I’m right
and its not click bait like yours!
At first I was questioning the title, but devoting 8 hours with this intense regimen is definitely understandable. Very impressive not only on learning it but the discipline to do it this fast and diligently.

agree, you can't become "fluent" in 30 days, you have to be immersed into the culture, it takes years to master a language, although his method is actually very interesting (watch out for cognitive overload - 8 hours a day is way too intense) As an ESL teacher, I recommend everyone to find new ways to learn and improve foreign language speaking.

I really wish I could just do that. I wonder if it just all clicks into place while you’re in the country?
@@averymckenna2274 it doesnt click its just that when you stay in a place where the language is different you begin to adapt to it because you see it all day.

You mean content that discourages people learning languages? Because even with 8 hours a day, you cannot achieve fluency in a month.
