Similar for me. Well, I wasn't formally taught but have some knowledge. I speak like a half assed broken Spanish. Not the best but I can still communicate. But this vid should help me polish it up and hopefully reach a higher level.

Watched this video for the first time about a year ago and it completely changed the way I was studying Spanish. I was not able to dedicate 8 hours a day but I was able to incorporate a bit of what he taught everyday. 1-3 hours daily. I was disciplined and consistent. I’m fluent in Spanish now and can express myself very well. I’m at the point now where my learning mostly comes from reading books in Spanish, listening to podcast and conversations with native speakers (tutors and friends) but I still revisit some of the techniques he taught me. I can confidently say that without this structured study plan in the beginning of my journey I would not have arrived where I am today. The speaking exercise truly prepared me to begin practicing with native speakers without fear. I can’t thank you enough for sharing your wisdom, Cameron. I’m taking the DELE later this year (C1) but after that I will begin learning Portuguese and I’m going to start with this method from the very beginning.
When you have even a basic knowledge of a language from the past, it’s not the same as learning a language from scratch so people shouldn’t get discouraged if they don’t learn a language at this speed. He’s already got a head start. Even when you don’t think you remember anything from school, it’s amazing how much pops into your head once you begin being exposed to the language again.
That's what I was thinking watching this. I appreciate the tips but "4 years of spanish in high school, one in college and a month of independent study" isn't even close to the same as learning the language in 44 days.

I saw his day 1 and day 5 and was amazed at how much he understood grammar , the basics of building sentences etc. After one day in any NEW language, I would not be able to build sentences, merely parrot them. I find this to be very clickbaity. 30 years ago I did 3 years of french in junior school. I can still say a few sentences and understand the structure of the language. Give me a couple of months of intensive training and I believe I can be, if not fluent, passable.
You're discrediting that he spent 8hrs+ a day for 44 days, that's 300+ hours... Most people haven't spent that much time on the language in 1 year of learning
The technique of learning all the words in one video and listening to it until you know it as well as english is genius. Your the only person I've seen talk about that. I started approaching my Spanish learning that way and it's a game changer
It makes it so much easier , you can learn hundreds of words and how they’re used and pronounced in a short amount of time . I have no clue why no one else has ever mentioned it before
I wonder if this would work a similar way with songs? I met a Costa Rican guy who said he learned English really young by listening to a bunch of English songs and trying to understand them with transcripts.

Please which Apps or resource materials did you use to learn French and Spanish? I currently don't have 8hours of time on my hands for now but I can do 3-4hours a day. I'd really appreciate if you can reply with materials to improve learning and speaking skills. I'm currently using Duolingo and watching a ton of UA-cam videos.
As a language freak myself, I've been learning languages for years with the same goal as yours and have to say that I'm highly impressed by your method. Your approach seems to be smart, efficient and massively rewarding and yet, I had never came across your way while trying to emulate other polyglots routine. Respect
@Lyrics and Movies Sure. I have always been fascinated by the theoretical aspect of things, so when it comes to languages, I tend to focus a lot more on grammar and have an approach that could be described as mathematical. Since the age of 12 I have been spending part of my free time doing comparative grammar. For the same reasons I also use the bidirectional translation method of Luca Lampariello. Also, as I love reading, I practice on a daily basis intensive and extensive reading. The results are pretty satisfying on the long run but I am aware that it is not a natural way to learn languages. The method applied in this video seems to be quicker and more holistic, and I can see myself using it if I had a short amount of time to learn, that is for example before traveling.

for him all you need is for him to listen to cartoons, movies and songs in spanish 4 hours a day and enroll him into like a spanish school for the writing and grammar stuff etc but for you you should follow this vid :)
8 hrs/day for 44 days = 352 hrs 352 hrs * 60 min/hr = 21,120 min This man put in some WORK. There’s really no shortcuts to learning a language. It simply takes time, repetition, and practice. 8hrs/day for 44 days is basically equivalent to 1hr/day for a whole year. He had the dedication to sit down and consistently build his skills for 8 hrs a day consecutively. Simple as that. Props brother.
Yes, but let us be honest with ourselves: could we put in two hours a day if it really mattered? Having looked at my own screen time on my phone, I could certainly be doing something more productive with those hours.

@@proofalleyeson4889 Great question; Look up "Linguasorb Spanish Verbs" They have a list of 100 Spanish, French and English Verbs with each conjugation. I'm making a video on how I learned 6 Languages, I just copied short psalms/proverbs from The Bible and translated it w/ Google Translate, Deepl, Yandex, etc. And for Arabic/Chinese I did the same thing but I took the pinyin/transliteration and had ChatGPT give me each word translated instead of studying Chinese Characters/Arabic Script. From there you simply LIGHTLY study things like conjunctions, nouns, pronouns, articles, adverbs, adjectives, etc As most polyglots say, Immersion is key! Best of luck to you all

This is an amazing achievement! However, if you've never exposed your mind to a language at all, please don't be discouraged if you do not achieve the same results in this short time frame. Learning a language is a life long journey and it always starts with a single step. Stay committed and conisistent to the vision you have for yourself and one day you'll realize that all that work has paid off an you are able to speak fluently!
I’ve watched one half of this video and I am lost. I’m spending a month in Spain next year with the hope of moving there in ‘24. Watching this, it seems like I’m facing a mountain that I won’t be able to climb. I wonder if it would just be better to hire a tutor. I’d love to hear from someone who has learned conversational Spanish in one year, if that is even doable.
@@yankee58100 honestly, I don't know about that... I mean, I'm planning to learn Spanish later on this year, but haven't started yet. I can't really tell you whether "fluency" is an achievable goal or not (after all, "fluent" has kinda become an umbrella term meaning both nothing and everything at the same time). What I can say is that the video clearly shows it's possible to achieve "conversational fluency" in way less than a year, but ONLY if you're willing to put in a crazy amount of time and effort. The FSI estimates you'd need around 500h of intensive training to reach fluency in lvl1 languages (such as Spanish, French, catalan, Italian etc)... The guy in the video said he worked around 8-12h/d (tot 380-440h) on his Spanish to reach this level in just over a month... Ps. I'll try to replicate the process changing it and twisting it to better suit my one life/interests/goals, but I'm pretty confident saying that any time you put into language learning is time well spent and that it will pay off later on (if you've read so far and were able to understand my comment... Well, English is an L2 for me, my L1 is Italian, so... Yeah... It's doable, and even if we as language learners will never get to be as "proficient" as natives... Who cares!!! :D)
@@yankee58100 I have been learning Spanish for a year. I don’t feel that fluent but I do understand most of what I hear. My advice for you is to do as much listening as you can. Speaking and writing practice is important but the more you can listen to Spanish, the better you’ll get (and bonus, if you don’t have all the time in the world to study you can still listen to things in the background). Don’t give up hope, you have a good chunk of time here!

@@briAgu55 Thanks for your message! I will be posting updates on my channel "brianopolis" and I will be self-publishing something late spring I believe. It was quite a ride. It was the fall of 1996 and I saw on the morning news reports about Cuban refugees flooding into Miami - the "balseros" - and about how Miami Beach was going through a revival of sorts with tons of Europeans coming there as part of the fashion scene. So I dropped out of college and headed south. I got a job as a waiter, bought a bilingual dictionary and phrase book, and I then I had to just ask people at work or people I met on the streets or cafes or bars or wherever to help me with my pronunciation and to understand the more complex problems I encountered with the language. Now, of course, the Latin culture has spread immeasurably since that time and it is no longer necessary to go to a place like Miami to meet people. I think you'll like the book. It's a memoiresque how-to book on self-guided immersion experiences here in the U.S.
Thank you so much for this. My moms side of the family speaks Spanish and my dads side speaks English, and I never really took the time to learn Spanish. Because of this, I can barely communicate with people in my family who don’t speak English. To be able to learn Spanish in a short amount of time would be a dream come true!
I can relate to you 100%!! I feel so bad that I am not able to communicate even with others outside my family. 😔 My dads side always spoke in English and my mom spoke only in English to us even though she’s a fluent Spanish speaker.
This is not just a great video on learning how to speak Spanish, but also a great video on how difficult things can be achieved with a good plan. 44 days to become native in Spanish is insane but seeing how you break it down it made sense why you were able to achieve that.
I agree with the point you are trying to make, but for the sake of clarification, he did NOT achieve native-level fluency in 44 days. In fact, that's not even possible unless you have an eidetic memory. The 44 days were what it took for him to essentially develop a baseline level of "conversational fluency" and from there is where he began pursuing native level (which takes a long time). He makes this clear around 9:50, but he probably should have made it more clear throughout the vid. Either way, it's impressive, and reality doesn't take away from that. It's just good to set realistic expectations for people because the majority would not achieve anywhere near these results.
This was a great video man. So many helpful tips in such a short amount of time. All I need is my discipline back and I’ll start up the language learning again!
remember even 30 mins a day is going to get you fluent, just takes longer, but at least you won't burn out. not everybody has the superhuman discipline to do it 8-12 hours a day!
This is by far the best way to learn spanish, ive used this with songs, even with just memorizing spanish songs word for word and what it means my spanish understanding has imporved alot! Since ive tested with songs im going to try podcasts
The TED Talk tip is a major key. When I was working on Spanish, I would watch cartoons and listen to podcasts, but even when I understood a good percentage of the content, I'd inevitably come across words that I couldn't quite decipher. Without a transcript to refer to, I found myself just moving on but feeling lost. Having a written counterpart to what you're hearing is HUGE.
Movies with subtitles are a great help , because you can hear spanish , and read what that means at the same time , Movies help me to learn english that way

Some people don’t understand that you did this for 8 hours a day for 44 days straight. Like you said, you treated it as a job. Learning a language can be quick with this method, but you have to put in the time and effort… Obviously most people who work and have jobs can’t find that sort of time to do so. This is probably the best way I’ve ever seen to learn a language, but to do it in that amount of time takes persistence, consistency, and dedication. Gonna save this video for when I need to learn a language. 👍🏼

This vid changed my life for the better. 7months ago i found this vid, and been following the blueprint ever since. Just went to RD in october and my spanish was on pont, they couldnt believe how good my spanish was in just 7months when theyve been learning english for yearsss n still spoke very little english. My spanish speech sounds alot like yours on your 44 day mark, with the stuttering n all, but it feels mazing when youre gettin those sentences out lol.

Wow! My birthday is on 25 August, I´ve been studied English since in mid-May and sometimes it´s easy but at the same time I feel that I´m stuck so that makes me feel desmotivated, but I´m keep studying because I really want to learn English so it will be my own gift to myself: get to improve my speaking, listening, reading and writting in English. I think this really shows how the resources we have access to (youtube, duolingo, being able to talk with natives online) can really improve the learning process so much compared to the traditional method of study. Really great video. I did feel a bit misled by the title when you said you had 4 years high school classes plus college and individual study already under your belt tbh, but I get that clickbaity titles etc. are part of the youtube game.
I'd agree, but how much does anyone really remember from high school rote memorisation? I do think it gives a bit of an edge, but anyone using this much repitition is going to see improvement if they stick to it.

Spanish is definitely my best foreign language, and this is awesome! Also, as somebody easily spending upwards of 9 hours on 8 different languages a day, I respect the grind.
I have ADHD and have been so struggling with retention when learning Korean. Flash cards and spaced repetition has been a slow process for me. But I think this method is absolutely brilliant. It’s still repetition but it engages so many more of your senses which I think will help me to cement these words and grammar rules into my brain. As well as hopefully keep things a bit more interesting and engaging. Thank you so much for this metros and breaking it down into such detail! I’m looking forward to trying it out.
Learning a Romance language having previously learnt another Romance language speeds things up significantly. In my case, I found it very easy to switch to Portuguese when I already knew Spanish. I think this is also the case with this gentleman. So don't be surprised by the speed with which he learned Spanish.

@@beanpasteposts don’t know what school you went to but it definitely is NOT the norm. Most schools do not have any foreign language require let alone specifically requiring Spanish.
Even tho English isn’t technically a romantic language, we have so many romance loan words that learning Spanish really isn’t that difficult. It really is just a matter of repetition.
I like the way he teaches. He actually does it very well. I am a native Spanish speaker and I recommend that you choose an accent since there are 23 Spanish speaking countries in the world. I'm Mexican. Thanks everyone. Greetings.

Oui, j'ai oublié beaucoup de la langue mais c'est la verité je suis en train d'écrire ici comme ci sans regarder ma dictionaire, Peut-ètre vous puvez me dire si vous croyez que toujours je puisse le faire? I know there may be a few spelling mistakes - but I have been able to speak French for more than 40 years. I can still do it and it really is just like riding a bike when I go there. I forget the odd word, ask "Qu'est-ce qu ce? etc - but when I do online tests now just for the fun of it i still score "B1" as a minimum and occasionally B2. I wish my Spanish were as good as My French still is.

Just something I’m personally interested in: Your method for learning languages appears to be as immaculate as your music choice, but (not to downplay how impressive your language learning is) - you’ve learned possibly the two easiest languages for English speakers. What I’m most interested in is seeing if this method works with more difficult languages, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and things of that type. If you’re up for it, and if you’re interested, I’d LOVE to see a “I learned _____ in ____ days” for a known-to-be-different language. Thanks for the awesome content so far.
@@callmeqt1269 might take a little longer than 30-44 days for that. You’re starting at a lower level of base knowledge by not know the characters and their pronunciation. I’d rather him post videos more consistently than wait a year for him to learn mandarin or Japanese using his method
I just started learning Spanish this year! I have been recording my self speak and using anki thus far!! I have never come across the method of using ted talks. The way you studied verb conjugation is one thing I am also going to try!! This video is the most beneficial video I have seen on learning Spanish! Thank you!!
Great motivation! But also don't get discouraged if you don't achieve results that fast. Some people are naturally more lingustically intelligent. Plus, knowing French is a HUGE benefit when learning Spanish (and vice versa). So, keep at it, don't give up, you'll be happy once you're able to speak, it opens so many doors.
Exactly first thing I thought just by hearing him speak English and the words he chose in that sentence structure is… what’s his iq wouldn’t be surprised if he has something close to photographic memory or at least a very high iq. Also his ability and determination to conquer and learn is amazing as well. (Which helps)
He worked eight hours a day for 44 days...if you consistently work for 352 hours you will learn a great deal....consider that a school year of Spanish consists about roughly 135 hours (180 days * 45 minute class / 60 minutes)....so he did almost 2.5 years worth of Spanish in a little over a month working at it like it was a full-time job.
@@dragonchr15 thank you…this seems to be the part people are missing. He dedicated more time than the average person would get to considering a lot of people work jobs, go to school, have themselves and families to take care of, etc. love his progress and many people can still get some benefit from his method without having to exactly replicate it if they aren’t able to.
Impressive, your discipline is truly admirable. I work with a lot of Native Spanish speakers and I’m ashamed I don’t speak full sentences fluently yet.

Yeah that's a tough one bro. Languages with an abundance of content are super convenient. Recently, I've found that I wasn't spending enough time with the pieces of content that I was studying with. So now I'm testing an approach that focuses on thorough consumption of a few pieces of content at a time rather than trying to read 100 articles and watch 100 videos like I used to. Now I read and watch the same things many times. Maybe that approach is more ideal in your case when the content just isn't available.

I'll probably have to transcribe a few videos myself and find someone who can translate them, then go over those until i understand what I hear. You should build a community like a discord chat group for people that want to practice your method.

Watched this video for the first time about a year ago and it completely changed the way I was studying Spanish. I was not able to dedicate 8 hours a day but I was able to incorporate a bit of what he taught everyday. 1-3 hours daily. I was disciplined and consistent.
I’m fluent in Spanish now and can express myself very well. I’m at the point now where my learning mostly comes from reading books in Spanish, listening to podcast and conversations with native speakers (tutors and friends) but I still revisit some of the techniques he taught me. I can confidently say that without this structured study plan in the beginning of my journey I would not have arrived where I am today. The speaking exercise truly prepared me to begin practicing with native speakers without fear.
I can’t thank you enough for sharing your wisdom, Cameron. I’m taking the DELE later this year (C1) but after that I will begin learning Portuguese and I’m going to start with this method from the very beginning.

When you have even a basic knowledge of a language from the past, it’s not the same as learning a language from scratch so people shouldn’t get discouraged if they don’t learn a language at this speed. He’s already got a head start. Even when you don’t think you remember anything from school, it’s amazing how much pops into your head once you begin being exposed to the language again.
And it'd just as amazing how bad your language ability can be after so many years of disuse - yep - agree!
That's what I was thinking watching this. I appreciate the tips but "4 years of spanish in high school, one in college and a month of independent study" isn't even close to the same as learning the language in 44 days.
@@edlrocks12591 My thoughts. I saw his day 1 and day 5 and was amazed at how much he understood grammar , the basics of building sentences etc. After one day in any NEW language, I would not be able to build sentences, merely parrot them.
I find this to be very clickbaity. 30 years ago I did 3 years of french in junior school. I can still say a few sentences and understand the structure of the language. Give me a couple of months of intensive training and I believe I can be, if not fluent, passable.
And French (a language he was previously fluent in) also has many similar terms and sentence structure. This is absolutely not learning from scratch.
You're discrediting that he spent 8hrs+ a day for 44 days, that's 300+ hours... Most people haven't spent that much time on the language in 1 year of learning
The technique of learning all the words in one video and listening to it until you know it as well as english is genius. Your the only person I've seen talk about that. I started approaching my Spanish learning that way and it's a game changer
late comment but yeah fluency is when you can recall a word through abstract thought without necessarily having to translate it in your head
It makes it so much easier , you can learn hundreds of words and how they’re used and pronounced in a short amount of time . I have no clue why no one else has ever mentioned it before

As a language freak myself, I've been learning languages for years with the same goal as yours and have to say that I'm highly impressed by your method. Your approach seems to be smart, efficient and massively rewarding and yet, I had never came across your way while trying to emulate other polyglots routine. Respect
@Lyrics and Movies Sure. I have always been fascinated by the theoretical aspect of things, so when it comes to languages, I tend to focus a lot more on grammar and have an approach that could be described as mathematical. Since the age of 12 I have been spending part of my free time doing comparative grammar. For the same reasons I also use the bidirectional translation method of Luca Lampariello. Also, as I love reading, I practice on a daily basis intensive and extensive reading. The results are pretty satisfying on the long run but I am aware that it is not a natural way to learn languages. The method applied in this video seems to be quicker and more holistic, and I can see myself using it if I had a short amount of time to learn, that is for example before traveling.
This is awesome man! My family and I are gonna start learning Spanish together (my son is 2 so gotta start him early!) and these are some great tips. Also, I love the editing and videography, show me your ways!

There’s really no shortcuts to learning a language. It simply takes time, repetition, and practice. 8hrs/day for 44 days is basically equivalent to 1hr/day for a whole year. He had the dedication to sit down and consistently build his skills for 8 hrs a day consecutively. Simple as that. Props brother.

@@proofalleyeson4889 Great question; Look up "Linguasorb Spanish Verbs" They have a list of 100 Spanish, French and English Verbs with each conjugation. I'm making a video on how I learned 6 Languages, I just copied short psalms/proverbs from The Bible and translated it w/ Google Translate, Deepl, Yandex, etc.
And for Arabic/Chinese I did the same thing but I took the pinyin/transliteration and had ChatGPT give me each word translated instead of studying Chinese Characters/Arabic Script. From there you simply LIGHTLY study things like conjunctions, nouns, pronouns, articles, adverbs, adjectives, etc

This is an amazing achievement! However, if you've never exposed your mind to a language at all, please don't be discouraged if you do not achieve the same results in this short time frame. Learning a language is a life long journey and it always starts with a single step. Stay committed and conisistent to the vision you have for yourself and one day you'll realize that all that work has paid off an you are able to speak fluently!
I’ve watched one half of this video and I am lost. I’m spending a month in Spain next year with the hope of moving there in ‘24. Watching this, it seems like I’m facing a mountain that I won’t be able to climb. I wonder if it would just be better to hire a tutor. I’d love to hear from someone who has learned conversational Spanish in one year, if that is even doable.
@@yankee58100 honestly, I don't know about that... I mean, I'm planning to learn Spanish later on this year, but haven't started yet. I can't really tell you whether "fluency" is an achievable goal or not (after all, "fluent" has kinda become an umbrella term meaning both nothing and everything at the same time). What I can say is that the video clearly shows it's possible to achieve "conversational fluency" in way less than a year, but ONLY if you're willing to put in a crazy amount of time and effort. The FSI estimates you'd need around 500h of intensive training to reach fluency in lvl1 languages (such as Spanish, French, catalan, Italian etc)... The guy in the video said he worked around 8-12h/d (tot 380-440h) on his Spanish to reach this level in just over a month...
Ps. I'll try to replicate the process changing it and twisting it to better suit my one life/interests/goals, but I'm pretty confident saying that any time you put into language learning is time well spent and that it will pay off later on
(if you've read so far and were able to understand my comment... Well, English is an L2 for me, my L1 is Italian, so... Yeah... It's doable, and even if we as language learners will never get to be as "proficient" as natives... Who cares!!! :D)
@@yankee58100 I have been learning Spanish for a year. I don’t feel that fluent but I do understand most of what I hear. My advice for you is to do as much listening as you can. Speaking and writing practice is important but the more you can listen to Spanish, the better you’ll get (and bonus, if you don’t have all the time in the world to study you can still listen to things in the background). Don’t give up hope, you have a good chunk of time here!

It was the fall of 1996 and I saw on the morning news reports about Cuban refugees flooding into Miami - the "balseros" - and about how Miami Beach was going through a revival of sorts with tons of Europeans coming there as part of the fashion scene. So I dropped out of college and headed south. I got a job as a waiter, bought a bilingual dictionary and phrase book, and I then I had to just ask people at work or people I met on the streets or cafes or bars or wherever to help me with my pronunciation and to understand the more complex problems I encountered with the language. Now, of course, the Latin culture has spread immeasurably since that time and it is no longer necessary to go to a place like Miami to meet people. I think you'll like the book. It's a memoiresque how-to book on self-guided immersion experiences here in the U.S.

Because of this, I can barely communicate with people in my family who don’t speak English. To be able to learn Spanish in a short amount of time would be a dream come true!
I can relate to you 100%!! I feel so bad that I am not able to communicate even with others outside my family. 😔 My dads side always spoke in English and my mom spoke only in English to us even though she’s a fluent Spanish speaker.

This is not just a great video on learning how to speak Spanish, but also a great video on how difficult things can be achieved with a good plan. 44 days to become native in Spanish is insane but seeing how you break it down it made sense why you were able to achieve that.
I agree with the point you are trying to make, but for the sake of clarification, he did NOT achieve native-level fluency in 44 days. In fact, that's not even possible unless you have an eidetic memory. The 44 days were what it took for him to essentially develop a baseline level of "conversational fluency" and from there is where he began pursuing native level (which takes a long time). He makes this clear around 9:50, but he probably should have made it more clear throughout the vid.
Either way, it's impressive, and reality doesn't take away from that. It's just good to set realistic expectations for people because the majority would not achieve anywhere near these results.

This is by far the best way to learn spanish, ive used this with songs, even with just memorizing spanish songs word for word and what it means my spanish understanding has imporved alot! Since ive tested with songs im going to try podcasts
The TED Talk tip is a major key. When I was working on Spanish, I would watch cartoons and listen to podcasts, but even when I understood a good percentage of the content, I'd inevitably come across words that I couldn't quite decipher. Without a transcript to refer to, I found myself just moving on but feeling lost. Having a written counterpart to what you're hearing is HUGE.
Movies with subtitles are a great help , because you can hear spanish , and read what that means at the same time , Movies help me to learn english that way

Some people don’t understand that you did this for 8 hours a day for 44 days straight. Like you said, you treated it as a job. Learning a language can be quick with this method, but you have to put in the time and effort… Obviously most people who work and have jobs can’t find that sort of time to do so. This is probably the best way I’ve ever seen to learn a language, but to do it in that amount of time takes persistence, consistency, and dedication. Gonna save this video for when I need to learn a language. 👍🏼

This vid changed my life for the better. 7months ago i found this vid, and been following the blueprint ever since. Just went to RD in october and my spanish was on pont, they couldnt believe how good my spanish was in just 7months when theyve been learning english for yearsss n still spoke very little english. My spanish speech sounds alot like yours on your 44 day mark, with the stuttering n all, but it feels mazing when youre gettin those sentences out lol.

Inspiring. I need to pop this on before each practice session. I've been studying Spanish 2 years and I feel like I hit a wall (I've been stuck at your day 22 for a year, lol). Most of my issue is discipline, but your methods are so diverse and I can't wait to try them.

These are great methods that I can see myself adopting to keep me motivated and not get burnt out. Music is important to me so I like that “two birds with one stone” idea.
YEAHH, I love to study other things in Spanish and French. Music too, like you. I watched a few videos on building 4 part-harmonies in Spanish. The best feeling is when you realize that you forgot it was in another language because you were so engaged in the content. Peace. And yeah STAY MOTIVATED!

My birthday is on 25 August, I´ve been studied English since in mid-May and sometimes it´s easy but at the same time I feel that I´m stuck so that makes me feel desmotivated, but I´m keep studying because I really want to learn English so it will be my own gift to myself: get to improve my speaking, listening, reading and writting in English.
It´s awesome to see how there are people learning Spanish. (I´m mexican so I don´t know this is cool for me)

I think this really shows how the resources we have access to (youtube, duolingo, being able to talk with natives online) can really improve the learning process so much compared to the traditional method of study. Really great video.
I did feel a bit misled by the title when you said you had 4 years high school classes plus college and individual study already under your belt tbh, but I get that clickbaity titles etc. are part of the youtube game.
I'd agree, but how much does anyone really remember from high school rote memorisation? I do think it gives a bit of an edge, but anyone using this much repitition is going to see improvement if they stick to it.

Spanish is definitely my best foreign language, and this is awesome! Also, as somebody easily spending upwards of 9 hours on 8 different languages a day, I respect the grind.
I have ADHD and have been so struggling with retention when learning Korean. Flash cards and spaced repetition has been a slow process for me. But I think this method is absolutely brilliant. It’s still repetition but it engages so many more of your senses which I think will help me to cement these words and grammar rules into my brain. As well as hopefully keep things a bit more interesting and engaging. Thank you so much for this metros and breaking it down into such detail! I’m looking forward to trying it out.

Learning a Romance language having previously learnt another Romance language speeds things up significantly.
In my case, I found it very easy to switch to Portuguese when I already knew Spanish.
I think this is also the case with this gentleman. So don't be surprised by the speed with which he learned Spanish.
Also the fact he had 4.5 years of formal Spanish education in his past. It's not like he was starting from scratch.

@@beanpasteposts don’t know what school you went to but it definitely is NOT the norm. Most schools do not have any foreign language require let alone specifically requiring Spanish.
Even tho English isn’t technically a romantic language, we have so many romance loan words that learning Spanish really isn’t that difficult. It really is just a matter of repetition.

I know there may be a few spelling mistakes - but I have been able to speak French for more than 40 years. I can still do it and it really is just like riding a bike when I go there. I forget the odd word, ask "Qu'est-ce qu ce? etc - but when I do online tests now just for the fun of it i still score "B1" as a minimum and occasionally B2. I wish my Spanish were as good as My French still is.
I would love to see you learning a totally foreign language like Arabic!

Your method for learning languages appears to be as immaculate as your music choice, but (not to downplay how impressive your language learning is) - you’ve learned possibly the two easiest languages for English speakers. What I’m most interested in is seeing if this method works with more difficult languages, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and things of that type. If you’re up for it, and if you’re interested, I’d LOVE to see a “I learned _____ in ____ days” for a known-to-be-different language. Thanks for the awesome content so far.
@@callmeqt1269 might take a little longer than 30-44 days for that. You’re starting at a lower level of base knowledge by not know the characters and their pronunciation. I’d rather him post videos more consistently than wait a year for him to learn mandarin or Japanese using his method

I just started learning Spanish this year! I have been recording my self speak and using anki thus far!! I have never come across the method of using ted talks. The way you studied verb conjugation is one thing I am also going to try!! This video is the most beneficial video I have seen on learning Spanish! Thank you!!

Great motivation! But also don't get discouraged if you don't achieve results that fast. Some people are naturally more lingustically intelligent. Plus, knowing French is a HUGE benefit when learning Spanish (and vice versa). So, keep at it, don't give up, you'll be happy once you're able to speak, it opens so many doors.
Exactly first thing I thought just by hearing him speak English and the words he chose in that sentence structure is… what’s his iq wouldn’t be surprised if he has something close to photographic memory or at least a very high iq. Also his ability and determination to conquer and learn is amazing as well. (Which helps)
He worked eight hours a day for 44 days...if you consistently work for 352 hours you will learn a great deal....consider that a school year of Spanish consists about roughly 135 hours (180 days * 45 minute class / 60 minutes)....so he did almost 2.5 years worth of Spanish in a little over a month working at it like it was a full-time job.
@@dragonchr15 thank you…this seems to be the part people are missing. He dedicated more time than the average person would get to considering a lot of people work jobs, go to school, have themselves and families to take care of, etc. love his progress and many people can still get some benefit from his method without having to exactly replicate it if they aren’t able to.
Don't forget that also had an additional 4.5 years of Spanish from school.
Impressive, your discipline is truly admirable. I work with a lot of Native Spanish speakers and I’m ashamed I don’t speak full sentences fluently yet.

I'm trying to learn an indigenous language with not much digital content, which makes it super challenging, but I will try to apply your methods as much as possible.
Yeah that's a tough one bro. Languages with an abundance of content are super convenient. Recently, I've found that I wasn't spending enough time with the pieces of content that I was studying with. So now I'm testing an approach that focuses on thorough consumption of a few pieces of content at a time rather than trying to read 100 articles and watch 100 videos like I used to. Now I read and watch the same things many times. Maybe that approach is more ideal in your case when the content just isn't available.
That sounds super cool. If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your motivation for learning a language that not many people speak?
