This Echo show 5 with Mediatek chip is looking like a great device to have for our house.
Bummer was hoping you showed certain steps how it finds and connect it. My Echo show 5 keeps saying bluetooth device not found. But my Ring doorbell connected to my Amazon Dot just fine.

What did you do to get your ring to stick on Stone/Brick just seen that and my couzin is using to figure that out with his at the moment

From what I know it does
I'm wondering about the reverse---can this echo device --the Echo Show 5 be added to the Ring ecosystem to show as an additional camera. Ring has the indoor mini that integrates---but why not use these Echo Shows as indoor surveillance within the Ring System. Seems it can't do that. I'd be in my ring app, off outside the home--and see these echos in addition to my outdoor Ring--can you tell me if it can be done?

It does need to be plugged in.

@@JilesMcCoy I bought this for my parents, and I can't seem to get it to notify him on his phone..
But can you view the camera in the Ring eco system---so that you are simply in all your cameras on your ring system and there's this echo camera. I don't like the idea of bouncing into Ring for Security but also bouncing into the alexa app to see the Echo as indoor security. Sure it's just a click of a different app but would be neat if it integrates right into the Ring App.@@JilesMcCoy

I got the echo 5 also. Amazed how it was already configured to my profile including WiFi and password and since my ring was connected to Alexa already it too activates with doorbell.
BUT I wanted it to activate when ring detected a person regardless of doorbell.
There was a routine I could create to do this but it doesn't work.
So not 100 percent happy with integration.
Bummer :-(
