Ice Land is my second favorite land. I love the beautiful ice mountains and ice sculptures. It reminds me of winter. Some of my top ten favorite levels are in this Land. 6-6, 6-9, and 6-10.
Is it too late for me to say that I absolutely love the underwater music in this game? Out of all the classic underwater themes, this one is my favorite by far. Anyway, I very distinctly remember almost never getting to use the Hammer Bros Suit, mostly because I'd always take a hit and lose it almost immediately after getting it or starting a level with it. Using it in that last fort is very satisfying, though, since the hammers are the one thing besides Star power that can kill the Boos, Stretches, and Thwomps.
I really like the Ice World it was always my favorite left level when I played this game as a kid I like the music and it's really pretty the little ice mountains and snow.😊
Level 6-5 is legimately the one level as a kid I thought was impossible. There wasn't even any hint of how you could go up there. Do you consider that bad level design?
i grew up on Mario and Mega man games, back when video games were simple, yet WHOLESOME. well, compared to the gory stuff today. glad to see you with both series.
I remember being a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s and platform games like Mario were and are still pretty great to this day unlike most first person shooters.
@@dougxvale I agree. I was a late 80s and 90s guy myself, and remember my 1st console: NES.....Link, Mario, and Megaman games were AMAZING back then. I still find them fun, myself, also. I liked some 1st person sh00ters, but the NES games always had a place in my memory.
15:21 there's a hidden 1up if you jump up off that donut lift adjacent to the ice wall.... just make sure you hit it from the left or getting it before you're crushed will be hard
22:10: One time I was able to get into that secret area with the power wing and get all the coins in it. I don't remember exactly how I pulled it off, but I somehow made that pipe stop blowing, allowing me to get past it without the frog suit.
hi, just adding a tip on stage 5 in iced world - near the finish line dont get the card yet - fly again going on the other direction behind the tall ice wall there is another 1UP
If you're looking to make levels based off of this game, Mario Universe has detailed maps to go over. It's how I planned out my routes back when I recorded this.
I went to this level and still do not understand how to fly on the tail! I press the jump then some more, Mario only a couple of times turns his tail and just falls without taking off. I tried a quick and re-press. No effect. How to fly in this game? O_o
Run until the meter is completely full, jump, and then keep tapping the jump button to fly. You can't just hold the jump button. It's not as free as it is in Super Mario World.
The former NoA employee that made that claim later retracted it, so it's a no for now on that. Since he is the dude that apparently named the other Koopalings and Reznor, it's a word of mouth deal.
Hey! It's Piranha Plant's neutral special attack from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! Why is 6-3's 1-Up Mushroom pure white? Why does Boom Boom give you an upside down ? Ball for beating him with a Star? LOL @ the Hall and Oates and Glenn Frey references.

Funny you say that about the Hammer Suit because I have a little fun with it in World 7... when I can actually hit the mark with the thing.
My favorite stage. Loved the theme song. You can rap to it lol.
Sounds like the beat Fresh Prince made on the glasses at the table.
ICE Crystal Sky, Caves, & Underground
4:28 the pure white 1up!!!
When I was younger and played this game, one time I was playing 6-4 and the brown lifts were gone.
I really like the Ice World it was always my favorite left level when I played this game as a kid I like the music and it's really pretty the little ice mountains and snow.😊
16:30 perfect timing with the music 🔥🔥🔥
Shut up You stole My pizza so stop TALKING so much😡
6-5 used to drive me nuts
Me too
4:25 a rare white 1up mushroom. There are also some blue mushrooms in secret coin ships and in fortresses.
Muchas gracias por el video y los diálogos de descripción de cada paso que das. Es genial. 😀
Eres bienvenido.
If you'll notice, Lemmy is the only koopaling who doesn't jump in the air after you jump on his head.
Level 6-5 is legimately the one level as a kid I thought was impossible. There wasn't even any hint of how you could go up there. Do you consider that bad level design?
Nah. You kind of get the idea after looping around for the third time and with all the gaps in the ceiling you can fly up to.
Bean1227 you should have got the hammer suit
No you were just a stupid kid
The Ice Land theme IMO sounds more creepy than the castles, ships and the Dark Land theme.

Ah yes.
Iceland.
Perfect to go during vacations!
Your captions in these videos are so charming. :)
Thanks. I like doing text most of the time so people can hear the game more than anything else.

6-5 still conjures up nightmares from my childhood 🙈

My favorite iceworld childhood memories 90s decade👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you @Bean1227 for sharing this, I am trying to play it again with the secrets you shared, more fun
Thanks for watching. Hopefully it's helping!
22:57 - first and potentially only......
Yep. I was also stunned to see world 6-10......

10:28 You forgot the magic white block.
Actually, it looks like *I* forgot something.
20:44 wait... does that mean munchers are enemy variants of coins?
Thanks you. I will make this in Super Mario Maker 2

@@Bean1227 ok
Is it any good ?
4:49 You mean a "wandering" hammer bro. You still fight them in the "hand traps" in W8.
Where can u find the eskimo suit here? Like the one hammer bros is wearing?
Whoa i didnt knew Roto discs can be beaten by tanooki....

What's a grassy level doing in an Iceland

Can u kill those fire chain chomp with tanooki stomp?
Yes, you can beat them like that.
Wow so many secrets :0
I don't think 6-5 was all that weird with that puzzle concept. It's a fairly common instance in SMB2 and the 3D Mario games
Nice
5:53 I see what you did there
Level 6-5 could be more a one of those Kaizo Mario Bros 3 hacks....
Make the fort look easy?
