The 12 Days of Christmas Cookies!
Day 7!
On the 7th day of Christmas, my true love baked for me:
Rosemary-Cornmeal Shortbread
Orange Chocolate Softies
Cranberry Drop Cookies!
Chocolate Palmiers
Lebkuchen
Greek Honey Cakes
And Buttery Gingerbread Men!
These cookies were actually quite tasty. I think if I have pushed them down into the pan a little more firmly they would have come out a little more dense and have been easier to remove from the pan, but they did turn out very nice. I would make them again.
If you would like a sweeter cookie, you could add sanding sugar to the top before baking. Or fluer de sel for a more savory shortbread. You could also change the shape of the cookie (square or round) if you wanted, but make sure to follow the recipe!
