    You sounded nervous riding the YBR, was it because of the amount of power it delivers through the entire rev range!? 😆 I love my little YBR.

    For someone stuck on a 125 (hopefully for not much longer) I do want to get off but mainly as I want to be able to overtake a tractor when I'm stuck on a country lane, not get sworn at by half of Derbyshire for holding up traffic, escape the cars and vans trying to run me over, use motorways, take passengers, not loose 30-50 of my speed going uphill, be able to have a trailer or sidecar and be able to carry some weight in my top box without having it massively impact the bike but most importantly so I can go abroad!! It's not just the limited power but all of the other things. I will miss 20quid road tax, 70 quid insurance and 140mpg! Also the L plate that a lot of people back off and give me space and time to ride! I've not ridden many big bikes but my 125 is super comfortable, light and easy to ride! Its brilliant off road but it's a love hate relationship - don't we all have that whatever the bike? Except the bullet, perfect bike 🤣😁🤩🤬😇😇😇😇😜

    Ah the YBR was my first geared bike. Probably the most boring 125 ever but it's good for beginners and it was quite comfortable.

      It is still better than my Sinnis. The owner has a been driving cars & trucks for years. He rides the ybr miles. I expect him to get a larger bike soon

      Mate!!!
      I've had a few Chinese knock off 125's and some decent but pretty beat up 125s....... just got a 10 year old ybr and it's blown my mind :)
      Don't get me wrong it's pulling no ones arms off at the lights, the breaks are poor and it feels quite chunky but it's blown me away!!!
      For an old bike and a well used I'm assuming they all like this.........
      Would definitely recommend the bike to new owners or new starters to bikes!!!
      Absolutely love it!!
      Would also like to say,
      Don't expect to be doing wheelies and burnouts to impress your mates (y)
      Or racing anybody.....
      But for a commuting bike or a cheap whip round to the shops......Absolutely wicked!!

      It's been a while since I made this video so I'm trying to think back to it.
      I think I was nervous because I knew my mate would watch the video so I didn't want to take the mick too much and I only had 20 minutes on it.

    I don't think you gave it much of a chance. You were uptight as soon you got on the YBR and the journey was pretty much a trip around the block from what I could tell. I think you should have given it as a minimum 2 hours of riding time around country lanes and commuting around towns and villages and getting use to riding a 125 again.

    Ahh yes.. the famous " Am I Recording? " triple check!! 😂😂. I started on a 300, and have no interest going back. There is a saying which I'm sure you've heard, it goes ( I'd rather ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow. ). Thing is... How are going to ride a slow bike fast? You can't...it's slow!! Just because you shift every 2 seconds doesn't make it more fun!! Just my humble opinion.

    • @EpicAdamMotovlogs
      @EpicAdamMotovlogs  3 роки тому +1

      I've never ridden a 300. Could be interesting ride though. It's nice having the power to crack open when needed

    • @jbird3214
      @jbird3214 2 роки тому +1

      About the slow bike fast thing.....
      It means riding a 125 flat out to the very limit of the bike, constantly paying attention, constant focus, 1 mistake and its over.....high risk, high tension = low reward.......
      Versus
      A larger/faster bike
      Riden comfortably and safely with minimum effort and risk = faster speeds and more enjoyable ride.....
      Is what I think it means :)
      but personally I believe it depends on the individual
      As I've had more fun nipping down town at night with nobody about on a 50c moped to get a pizza than I have driving through town the same time on a 1000cc??
      Felt like I was rossi on the moped and felt like i was taking the super for a walk like a new puppy!! all careful and nervous about the throttle :/
      Rode a lovely road for 2 hours on a 125cc absolutely hated it with a passion!!! It was unbearable!!!
      Rode it in a car and big bike and it was a joy!!!
      Sat at 60 constant instead of 40-60 with constant gear changes and mirror checks and lane changes.........
      But then again I think nothing beats being off road on a bike, the speeds are no where near what you can achieve on the road but for some reason it feels so much faster!!!

    It's not so much the engine and lack of power that scare me in a 125. It's more the overly soft crap suspension/forks and horrible brakes.

      @OriqinLCinema It depends on your budget. You can get some fantastic 125s now but they cost a lot of money.
