Great video man. Ordered one now. Ride safe.👍
@@johnnykawakid no worries. Ride safe
A very enjoyable watch. Thank you.
@@eddiejefferies3659 thanks. I think I just ranted in this video
I have been through many bikes. I now own two 411’s. Great time to buy one new whilst stocks last. Great discounts on a new bike.
I'll be keeping mine for a while longer but I'm happy now I have a vfr as well.
That’s the problem. Wanting more. Been there. Done that. Back to the Himalayan. It’s perfect. It’s adequate. It’s good enough. It’s all you need.
@@pavanchahl1039 I've bought a vfr800fi since this video and kept the himalayan. I ride the vfr on nice days. It's made me appreciate the himalayan more. Thanks for watching
I’ve got a mk1 bandit ! , what went wrong?
Will they still make the scram?
Im not sure. Probably not now they have the bear
The only thing is that this 5th generation didn't come with all the mod cons and fashion the. New bikes came with. So there's all and more after market parts out there man. Yes even a gear indicator you name it. I got this like many semi vintage record players 20 years b4. Replacement for modern road items makes up easily and far more than newer machines and some, ref my modern car with all the modern gadgets. Enjoy this imo and some of the CBF 1000 fa are well the best value for the road ever made. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks. I popped into a small, independent motorcycle mechanics and he had plenty of parts. I'm going to get an aftermarket exhaust and probably won't do anything else for a while.
A great bike to ride, never part with it. Merry Christmas
Thanks. I usually plan on getting a new motorcycle every 2 years but I plan on keeping this for a while longer. Can't any better for the money
Love the bandits ❤ I'm hoping for a bandit 600 when I pass my A2
It's a great bike for beginners and veteran riders.
Just a quick heads' up, you probably already know, Saddlebags is having a rideout this Sunday.
I know. Unfortunately I can't make it. Have a good one though and I'll see you in the summer.
Ok mate, hopefully catch you on the next one.
I've had 3 Bandit 600's and theres something special about them... After owning a total of 19 big bikes. Mainly super sports/sports tourers. My CB600F hornet was a better bike and nippy being 98BHP but it wasn't a Bandit... I've not had a bike for 3 years now but im looking at getting another Bandit. I find they are plenty enough power on the road. I got 135mph out of my second bandit and its hard work hanging on to a naked bike at that speed on a open road (sorry private road) 😮... I find they are incredibly confidence inspiring. The only changes i make is stubby exhaust and pipercross air filter. Thats it 👌
The Bandit was my first big bike. I knew it was good but had nothing to compare it to. It's better than my Himalayan and the fazer I owned afterwards. Not sure if it's as good as my vfr800fi though.
@EpicAdamMotovlogs completely agree my Bandit 600 was my 1st big bike too in 2013. Loved it! Hence owning another 2. The Fazer and VFR is the only bikes Ive not owned or ridden. Been tempted though. Can't see it matching a VFR as it's a sports tourer..the Hornet 600's are impeccable to ride. The best sports tourer I've owned has to be my ZX9R. Was a fantastic bike and not too cramped like my Gixxer and fireblade were. The sound 90's Ninja's make are unreal though
My 2001 just passed 125,000 km. Still the daily ride commuting down a mountain with coastal views. Best part of the day. Enjoy the bike.
I will enjoy it. It's currently in storage at work, so I'm riding my Himalayan instead. I just moved house and have a garage so will be bringing it home soon
I've ridden only VFR's as a courier since 87, I need to replace a lot of worn out parts on it. So I bought a used Himalayan while the VFR is down. Big difference, but I dig the lil 411. I plan to keep it since there's a lot of desert to explore here in Southern Calif. You picked the perfect street bike, its power is so linear, you cannot find a better bike to commute and split lanes on all day long year after year. Just keep using a quality motor oil and you too can get about 400,000 miles outta that workhorse. She prefers organic over the synthetics, synthetic makes her shifting just a bit notchy.
I hope you enjoy the himalayan. I miss the vfr. I put it in storage for the winter and have been riding my himalayan. The vfr is great. I think I'll keep it for a while. I'll probably end up trading the himalayan in for a ducati scrambler.
Had the 6. Had the 12. Now gone back to Bandits with the best of both worlds. The 6.5 oil cooled. Great thing
@johna6968 I still haven't ridden the 1200, I'll love to, though. I ended up restoring this bike. Got the original fuel tank in my garage as a reminder of my first bike. What a great bike it was.
Ooh garage, you lucky boy! Tho I'm sure you've worked your ass off for it. Always wanted one myself, someday. Best of luck with the move 👊
@Bimble cheers, mate. We moved on Friday but still getting things sorted. The garage has Christmas decorations in it. No point in putting them in the attic yet. Got another dump run, sort out the old house and that's it.
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs Sweet, sounds like you've got the hard part done mate. Hope it's a happy healthy home for you guys, and the bikes of course.
I think the bridge by Post Bridge is older than the USA too. I converted my garage into a much bigger garage then filled it full of junk and 3 bikes 😂. Ps on Sunday we were on a straight Rd but no chance to over take because of traffic and got passed by noisy harley ( with patches) he couldn't go any further because of same traffic but I guess just needed to be in front of us instead of behind, don't think he wouldn't have liked it if I'd over taken him though 🤔👍. Ride safe especially with snow and ice around 👌
Cheers. No snow here today, not even rain.
@EpicAdamMotovlogs lucky you, it rained here heavy nearly all day
Snow in mortenhamstead and moors and haldon Hill, people stuck in their cars
@@marktorbay it just started hailing. I was riding home from work as well.
The Royal Enfield definitely has character. But the Honda has twice the power and is simply the more versatile machine. That’s why the choice was clear for me. It can only be the Honda.
@TheProvinceOfRC I agree. The honds is overall better
Do you have a spring and autumn in UK?
@jasonstewart6192 Yes. It's currently Autumn
@EpicAdamMotovlogs I was just joking, I'm in Australia, my mate from UK, it's true he says the same, 5 nice days of summer. Picking up my 411 this week, just started watching vids on it. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
@jasonstewart6192 I thought it was a stupid comment but this is the Internet so I let it slide 😆. Enjoy the Himalayan. It's a good bike.
Yes. Separated by about a week if we’re lucky.

A garage is the ultimate, I fanny around with motorcycles mainly and film it. Recently me and mrs fannyied around in the garage and filmed it.
I just noticed that video on UA-cam. Just catching up with older videos before I watch it.
@EpicAdamMotovlogs cheers mate
I need to get to the gym.... although I think I spelt PUB wrong 😀 Ahh mate, congrats on getting a garage mate, makes owning bikes soooo much nicer. I have a garage... mine is full of crap and bikes... I really need to get rid of the crap so I can work on the bikes easier but am too lazy to tidy it up properly 😀 I got caught speeding once back in my yoof... my excuse in court was that my speedo cable had broke and I was on my way to pick up the replacement, but because there was no wind in my face I couldn't tell how fast I was going.... the bloomin journalist quoted me and it was in the local paper that I was an utter twit 😀
😆 I know you and you are a bit of a twit. Yep, I'm looking forward to moving in. It makes working on my bikes a lot easier. The garage has electricity hooked up.
@EpicAdamMotovlogs Shaweeeet that will make life pretty much perfect for you
Not trying to boast but we have a tiny 2 bedroom house but a largish garden, parking for four cars and best of all, a double garage 😁 It's why we bought the house. So far, it has three scooters and a motorbike in it. Cars are dumped on the driveway, we only use them if we need to carry something big. I reckon we can get two more bikes in it. It has a workbench and loads of tools. Next year we will get a ramp thing that you drive the bike onto and raise it up to work on it. There is obviously power and a water supply to use a pressure washer. Yes, the garage was more important than the house.😂
@lilynorthover8378 sounds like a dream. Half my garage is for the dryer etc. I might be able to squeeze a third bike in
Garage is a big plus for me. If we move again it'll be for a smaller house with a bigger garage. The garage is my domain, the garden is Mrs C's, so no bikes in the garden, bikes in the garage 🙂 I have seen the basic specs of the Bear. I think I'd probably pick a CL500 over it to be honest but that's just personal choice.
My garden is nice too. It's just decking and patio. Easy maintenance 👌 My mate had a double garage with a room on top of it. It was separate from the house. Amazing. You can see it on my video where I drive an electric car off road.
We were trying to get a house with a garage but the one we bought had everything we wanted for a good price except a garage. The drive is more than big enough to build one so it probably a distant life goal lol.
Garage's are great. I had one a while back but I was new to biking, so I didn't take advantage. Big driveways are good too. You can always keep the vfr covered.
I got a 600 mk1, but I also got K8 1250 too! the 1250 is such a smooth bike to run!
I'll like to get the 1250 one day. I love the Bandit. Currently have a Himalayan and vfr800fi.
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs youll deffo enjoy the 1250! What a difference to ride :)
own 2 of them for the last 25 years +. not full of electronics. can be a bitch to start in the winter if left for a few days outside. watch out for rust. carbs can give trouble. lots of parts about. has power for every situation.
I loved the bandit. I had trouble with the carbs. That's on one of my videos. It got bogged down on a hill. Pretty scary.
Suzuki gsx750f is a good bike and there cheep
First of all I will always recommend that you buy a bike in winter as you stand a better chance of getting it cheap. Secondly, I own a Classic 500 and like you I wanted something a little faster. So I have just picked up a 2006 Kawasaki ER6F which does the job.
@Familyshots-co3bm I've bought a vfr800fi since making this video. It's currently locked away for the winter so I'm enjoying the himalayan again.

What!! 😆
60 in 3rd? Is it broken? Mine is instant ban speed in 3rd..
Did I say 60 in 3rd? I'm used to the bike now. I know what it's capable of.
@EpicAdamMotovlogs yep, I took it easy on mine for a wee while until I got used to it, but aye, that 3rd gear is a cracker, you can get from diddery town speed to just over 3 figures in an instant. I keep thinking about selling it then I just look at it and change my mind!
What temperature does your fan kick in without using the switch?
I haven't noticed it kick in yet.
Im going there on Sunday
@@EvieLyons-s7w I didn't know it was time again. Have fun.
Just bought my 2008 Bandit 650 as my first bike, love it!
Congratulations. It's a great bike.
It failed because of a loud exhaust?! I took my Z100 with racetec straight through exhaust with de-cat in for MOT and just got the usual advisory. Bizarre.
Yep. The tester was a bit of a twat
Was skanked by a motorcycle garage once. They put dirty oil on the fork. I had just changed the fork oil and was bright red. The bike was immaculate and checked before it went in. Came out the workshop we not allowed in with black dirty oil/grease smeared on the fork chrome. I then rode it over a mile of speed bumps with no leak. Rang trading standards and they said to not move the bike if you want to report it. Only go to people I trust for my car and bike
They sound dodgy. Definitely avoid them.
Glad to know you are still alive! 😀 Sounds like the place that failed you is one to avoid. Is hard riding bikes that are so different from each other, I really struggle on my XSR vs my V-Strom... I imagine it'll be really weird getting back on the Aprilia once it is fixed. Get well soon mate (unless you already have and time travel has happened via UA-cam post date vs recording date)😀
I film, edit and post most of videos in a day 😆. I'm not feeling too bad now. Ready for the gym on Monday. It's strange that I found it harder getting used to the himalayan again.
Glad you're alive! You'll have to let me know where you ended up going for your MOT.
Will do.
Glad to see you back mate 👍

Cheers. I'm not sure I'm done yet though
Hi Adam. I was in exactly the same position a few months ago. I ride with my wife as pillion a lot and the Classic 350 manages that extremely well. When I'm solo, it's great for exploring the lanes. What it's not so good at, is doing the longer distances on "big" roads. This summer we added a 2017 T120 to the fleet, the first time I've ever owned two bikes. Fortunately, I was able to afford the Triumph too. It's a bike I'd really wanted since they came out in 2016 but the price of them then was unattainable. But this one came up at a great price. It's in fantastic condition and not too high mileage. I didn't get rid of the Classic 350 for three reasons. Firstly, he's named "Ernie" after my late father. Secondly, the poor residuals meant it wasn't worth selling. But thirdly, although I love my T120 the Classic 350 is still my go-too for most of my riding.
Thanks for watching. Do you watch Saddlebags73? He has a classic 350 called Ernie.
Don't worry to much on your content, just go with the flow because the most important thing is we love what we are doing. I'm glad to add my self to your channel. Always pray before you Ride. Ride Safe always with your limit.
Thanks for watching. Stay safe also
