I like the angles but please, for the future reviews, don't make 1 person start the sentence and the 2nd finish. It's pretty annoying because it feels like you guys constantly interrupt each other. Giving 1 person 1 segment would be much better.
I have this board. I put silicone on the bottom, plate foam, durok stabs, lubed Boba U4Ts and Akko Samurai caps. Sounds great. The only problem I had was updating the firmware bricked the whole board. I had to search forums and youtube comments to find a random executable to fix it. My advice is to avoid the software on this thing altogether
I'm thinking of doing some of the same mods, how do you like the Boba U4Ts? I'm wanting something with a lower/deeper sound profile and I've read that those switches would be great for that.
@@TravisKelleher I really like the Bobas, they sound much deeper than my Akko CS Blue tactiles. Very pleasing. I picked them based on being widely used and reviewed and they seem to live up to the hype
I had an issue where the RGB light would go off regardless of the settings but i was able to get them to send me a firmware update that would keep it on at all times regardless. So basically it never goes into sleep mode anymore. Been perfect ever since
If I don't need wireless, would you think that the build quality equals that of the EKC84/EP84? I'm trying to choose between the EP84, RK84 or Keychron K2 v2. One thing that I want is per key assignment of RGB, for app specific color customization do you know if any of these are capable of that? Thank you, Any info is greatly appreciated.
Don't pick the Keychron one, it's a really bad keyboard brand with trash products imo. You don't want to buy Keychron keyboard and have to spend a load of money just to upgrade the keyboard to be a new one because it stock switches, stabs, keycaps, case quality are below terrible.
@@huunhanle3809 I'm going to get the KC84, same as the EP84, but I found one with a cool smoked translucent frame, I plan on swapping out the switches and modding stabilizers, and adding foam or silicone.

have you reached out to RK? they provided me with custom firmware to prevent sleep mode from ever happening etc, they are crazy responsive

No you can't as Optical switches only compatible with Optical PCB.
