I just bought a RK100 as my first mechanical keyboard. I wanted a full size one and almost went for the ducky one 3, however the RK100 has basically all the same buttons as a full-size keyboard without the wasted space. I have to say your channel has a lot of great information and I think I have found my new hobby I didn't know existed. Thanks.
I have owned the Razer Tournment Editon Black Widow TKL since 2013. I just bought the RK84 Limited Edition 2 weeks ago and am impressed for such a budget keyboard. It really is smother and better than the 10 year old Razer. Looks like the Buget Keyboard Industry has really advanced over the last 3 years. Impressive.
Hello! I really enjoyed your thorough and honest review!😊 It was difficult to find a good video of RK84 review where they mention the cons and the compatibility with macOS, and your video has helped me out so much!✨☺️ I had a question regarding the Function + S command thing you’ve mentioned in the summary. You’ve mentioned that if you leave the keyboard ON for the entire time, you don’t have to do the switching to mac command. Does that mean if you use the RK84 wired at all times (=power would be switched to OFF), and you shut down and turn on your mac, you have to do the Function + S at startup every time? Also, would you recommend this keyboard to a mac user or are there better options? (I’m aware of Keychron K2 and its better compatibility with mac but I really liked how the RK84 had the extra 2 USB ports so I’m struggling with which keyboard to get…) Sorry for the long comment & question😓
hey! First = thanks! Second = I'm not positive about the Function + S thing via a wired connection. I think you might actually be ok? To be frank, I personally didn't find it that annoying anyways. Easy enough to just hit the command. Third = I like the RK84 and K2 about equal (the K2 was the first mech I ever bought). Go based on LOOKS and that USB feature! So sounds like the RK84 is the keyboard for you ;)
@@KeebNews Thank you so much for the reply! I suppose it is not much of a big deal as long as it functions properly xD I do feel much better about my decision now and I think I will go with the RK84 after all😄 Once again thank you so much and I’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing more of your reviews ! :)
I don't know why, but your space bar for the brown keys sounds WAY more silent than it does in real life, I think it is a little annoying how loud it is
Thank you for these awesome videos. Congrats on the launch of your channel. Can you please review the Durgod Taurus K320/K310, Brown or Red Switches please …..
hey thanks Cagy! That's kind of you to say. I just emailed the Durgod team and asked if they'd send me those to review. If not--might have to wait until I have an extra $130 to spare ;)
Hi! Nice review as always 😊 loved it. I have the RK71 brown switches and this made me think a lot comparison wise. Keep those review coming. 🥰🥰 By the way, if possible.. could you also review cheap but nice 40% keyboards. I'm so torn from all the available ones out there and I know you're one of the reviewers out there that can give nice reviews that can help me decide which one to get. Keep it up and great job! Always love your review 🥰
@@KeebNews tell you truthfully my budget for this type of keyboard is only around $65.00 and so far the only one I could find is the Qisan Magicforce 40. Here in our country I'm interested in also getting the Pabile 40 but I'm not sure if you can get one of those if you order it in your country. And if you can find any cheaper alternatives to Qisan Magicforce I'm sure I will consider it too. That's how highly I think of your recommendations 😊
On my desktop the 2.4ghz works a good 6' away - PC is under the desk and dongle is on the back. Don't know why people have such a hard time with it. I'm about 2' away when the keyboard is on my desk. No issues.
For an $80 keyboard--how did you like the sound, personally? What switches might sound good on this?
Bought it for $55, I am planning to get Akko CS Silvers and PBT keycaps for it.
I bought it for 45$ and so far it feels great!

it is really not possible to compare to an old to new gen keyboard
I wanna buy some custom keycaps for this bad boy but I'm not really sure for the sizes. Anything i should take note of?
Why a good chanel being underrated like this :D Very good review and nice video!
aw thanks! I appreciate that! :)

Fun Fact: I own zero 40% keyboards lol. What are your top 2-3 choices so far? Drop me a comment here and I'll buy one of em ;)

@@KeebNewshi, can you tell me the difference of RK yellow switches and Gateron yellow switches?

Not sure either tbh. Every other dongle I've tried worked great. Could just be a defect with this particular one.
Is it still working well?
If I check my rk84 using online keyboard tester, the windows key always virtually stay clicked after pressed. Do you know why?
Key face looks smaller. Is it?
