To get the rod spring out of the way... use a 6n1 multi screwdriver you probably have in a drawer somewhere. Use the smaller end, remove the screw insert and slide the tube end over the rod to push/ pull it out of the way. Super easy
5:39 "Feels great." Until you actually load it with rounds like one would in real life and then you realize the mags don't just slide in and click but need a good smack to seat.
Yeah I am getting the metal magazine release I hope it helps with the reliability of the S15 mags. I og bought 3 S15 mags and I had to return 2 of then over reliability issues. One of them over failure to eject and the other over easily falling out of the mag well while shooting.
I have used this One, but I switched to NDZ. NDZ mag release is more in detail and funtion more softer. Somehow, S15 mag works better in NDZ mag release.
Can't get the mag release out. Doesn't matter how hard I pry or pull once it's in that opening, it doesn't come up. This gun is getting ready to go into a fire lol
Tried shield arm video way first that remove spring pin then install mag catch then spring pin . But actually install spring pin isn’t easy so I tried your way not removing spring pin that was way easier and faster thanks ❤
do u know id there is any way to tune the mag release so it shoots out harder? lol might be a dumb question but i just think it would be super cool if you hit the mag release and it just shoots out hard af haha like spring loaded release hah
Wish I could have seen the details of how you actually popped the spring out of its slot. That's the tricky part of this procedure. PS Pulling the spring completely out of its bottom hole, and the sliding it back in after installing the catch seems to be working for everyone.
Hola buenas tardes yo compré los cargadores y no me funciona se tranca la pistola pregunta por qué Glock no asé esos cargadores original para q no hay ha problemas gracias 🇵🇷
I bought these mags and mag catch, but after many months of reading about them there is no way I run them without testing at least 1,000 rounds, maybe 200rds per mag at least... Instead I am running the OEM 10rd mags in the holster and then +4 Tyrant extensions on OEM mags as backups. The reviews on these S15's are all over the place, not very reassuring at all.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WITHOUT A ORING PICK! Spent the last 3 hours scratching and gouging at my lower frame cuz this guy gives zero context to the install with a flathead.
I have both snd yes. My favorite though is g48. I'ts the length of a g19 but same frame as 43x. The 19x is a better combat pistol but not so much for conceal carry.

Thank you for your video. It worked a lot better than the others I watched
2:05 Bravo on that beautiful breakdown🔥🙌🏻 not sure why me and every other person on youtube does it the hard way
FYI
Video starts at 02:05.
Ive been trying for 30 min to get the spring out. I don’t understand how it’s so easy for everyone else
Bro. I’m with you. Scratching the hell out of it too
A few dents and scratches is ok on a $500.00 dollars gun.. 😂 no way jose. I’ll take it to a proficient Gunsmith
How many scratches that screwdriver put on that 43
Bro I swear to god, apparently god himself put my rod in because I’ve bent like 3 solid metal tools trying to get it out 😓

😂😂😂😂
Thanks for video I'm nervous about changing it but I need to learn
Lol video shows you zero detail in the actual installation
😂 facts
😂😂😂😂
None
Might not show it, but it’s pretty obvious what he’s doing
@@american_chevy616 yes, but again….he shows nothing useful to someone who doesn’t know
I’m left handed. Can you switch the side of the mag release button to the right side of the pistol as well??
Yes
I didn’t have needle nose at hand to pull that spring out this vid was clutch
i get my 2x s15 mags and 2x +5 extensions with steel release tomorrow! cant wait. thanks for vid!

Friend…is it worth it? What about the plastic factory Glock mags? How do they perform w new metal part?
I’ve heard it will wear the mag itself out after a while.
Use a small needle nose plier to pull the spring out once you pop the spring out of the way and put back in. It is a lot easier.
Great suggestion!
No need to pull the spring out. Just disengage it from the catch.
I’m sorry but I must use a screwdriver I would like to put a few dents and scratches on a $500.00 dollar gun

Nice tongue clicking tutorial. Thanks for mentioning the link to Shield Arms actual install video.
Question is can you use your stock Glock mags with the metal mag release cause I’m in a state that I can only have 10 round
No
5 minutes no problems. Small flat screwdriver slide over spring pops out reverse order. Will not hurt plastic magazines

What kind of tool was used on this?
thanks for the vid!

You pull it out with small needle nose pliers. It's roughly a 1.5 inch piece of metal you're pulling out. I just did it today. Very simple.

That's your problem buddy. Mine work 👍 great.
@@bc_usa And that's anecdotal, the problem is glock doesn't stagger their fuckin mags
i bought a metal mag release for it and it shaved it down. i just bought another by shield and it better not shave.
@@43xenjoyer Do you have the aluminum mag catches or the newer steel ones?
@@bc_usa 🤣

This is where I have arrived. Couldn’t wait 10 hours for a print pick that I have to get now anayways.
@@mattharden3989 yes same😂 very disappointed lmao.. I just had the guys at gt distributor help me out lol kinda took some cool points off tho😔
It’s ok to scratch it, is a Glock it won’t hurt it. Only cost $500.00 bucks
You can pull the spring out, fit the release then put it back in the wedge
Hope u got rid of those plastic sights by now. 😂
You don't modify the proven system with the malfunctioning system.
A few scratches not bad 😂
Nobody sees it but you lol. You probably can’t even field strip a Glock.
Thanks
Use dental picks
2 years oem mag release, no issues. They will sell you the kitchen sink.
2 uses of oem mag release completely failed would hold shield arms mag.
My mag fell out with the oem mag release. Just switch it out.
Im here to change my mag release not a history lesson
I remember the first time I made a UA-cam video…
Fuck this spring
And he forgot the needle nose 😢
way to say “remove the spring” and then not tell us how.
Wow video not worth the watch.
so it this mod worth the purchase of a glock 43 over glock 19x?
