The gen 2 mags you gotta use the shield arms mag release only I tried to use the tyrant designs one and it didn’t work or it did but barely would seat. They made the hole smaller in the gen 2 mag release hole. To fit only their mag release.
Ya I had 2 of the Shield Arms 15rnd Metal magazines and I absolutely love them!!! Got the 5+ round base/extension as well 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 The only problem I’m having an issue with is getting the small rod out of the inside of the handle so that I can remove the plastic mag release button. I don’t have the right tool to get in there or my hands are too big. Any ideas?
I just broke the little latch that was holding unto the small rod from the plastic mag release.. and then you’ll easily will be able to remove the small rod afterwards
Kinda mad my standard steel mag catch had a blemish on it. They are giving me a credit at least for a premium steel mag catch. Just more waiting. And installing them can be tricky if you don't have the right tools. Luckily I do.
It sucks buying Gen 1 mags and spending a lot of money. Then, Gen 2 comes out because Gen 1 is faulty. Now you have to spend a lot more money to buy one that works as it's supposed to. There should have been some kind of trade in deal or credit...
You have to get a metal release, otherwise you can probably shoot the 15 round once or twice with no problems then it will start falling out every time you shoot, you have to have metal on metal or polymer on polymer. If you try to use the metal release with the original polymer 10 round mags the release button won’t work well and you’ll have to manually pull the mag out with a tug
I just swapped out my mag release with one from shield arms and it drops the SA mag like butter. Unfortunately, the mags that came with the 43x seem to get stuck and doesn’t drop freely. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Apparently you’re not suppose to use Glock brand (OEM) mags because the metal shield brand mag catch will fuck up the plastic mags. Metal catch for metal mag; plastic catch for plastic mags
Metal on metal, Poly on poly, although you can use a poly oem mag with the metal mag catch it may not feed properly, and over time it will wear the mag down , as well as if you use the poly catch with metal mags it’ll shred your mag catch and your mags will eventually fall out no matter if they’re poly or metal or plastic
Dude the only trouble im having is that the spring doesn’t fit into the follower of the OEM 10 round magazine and I have no idea how in the hell to fix this
Firing rounds through them have been great. No sure on how many rounds. But I would only say maybe a 100ish. Because I’m having a different problem. When I load a mag and hit the slide release to chamber a round it jams every time. Even on my org Glock mags. So I’m tryin to figure that out. I have to rack it by hand just to get a round to chamber.
Okay so can you add the +5 extension to the OEM Glock 10 round magazine to make it 15 rounds total? Or it has to be only on the specific S15 magazine sold?
Yes I did after i watched this video. This video is wrong, I took out the stock plastic follower at the bottom of the magazine because that plastic follower is not needed per the Shield Arms install video on their web site. Now I can load 20 w/o any trouble.
THANK YOU for solving that question on how the damn screw goes into the mag to hold the extension in place!!!!
I don’t get it. Are you mad at me or just mad that you didn’t figure it out lol
Good video! Love that you own the mess ups! Good honest reviews.
Awesome video, just ordered mine today
Great vid by the way!!! Absolutely love how you went with the all red mag, mag release and slide release as well!!! She looks incredibly SEXY bro!!!!
Just a heads up. You don't re-use the OEM spring base black plastic piece.
THANK YOU!!! I just spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how to get that back inside.
Was gonna say stock plastic not needed spring and metal plate
Are you sure???
@@frankiegunnz8066 yes from shield arms
@@frankiegunnz8066 Yes, I called Shield Arms and they confirmed you don't need the original plastic piece at the bottom of the spring.
That Glock looks sick
Actual install starts at 3:08 if you want to skip all the talking about how awesome his gun is.
🤣🤣🤣

this video helped thanks
So the tyrant mag release works with the shield arms magazine?
I got a glock 43x it's all black I love it I haven't got the shield arms mags or metal mag release or truglo night sights yet but I probably will

Just drilled mine out
Any links to the mags ?
it’s easy to remove just order a picking tool on amazon
Have 2 on order for my new 43X
Gen 1 or 2 mags?? Been seeing a lot of ppl say tyrant mag release doesn’t work with g2 s15 mags
I bought the pre installed +5, but it only holds sixteen. Anyone else having a problem ?
Luvs!
So does the Tyrant mag release work well with the S15 mags? Because I know they say to get there wield arms mag release
Yes it does

Do you have to change the mag well and mag release. I heard the shield mag will wear out the mag release if you don’t change it out

It's for their mags not the oem I'm pretty sure
Does it last?
Is the red mag catch steel? Any issues with it wearing over time with the s15 mag in and out?
No..its steel.
Where did u get the red steel mag release from ?
How many rounds have you put through them ? Any failures of any kind? Would you trust your life to carry them?

@han0509 glock does have a slide release
I was only able to fix 19 rounds in my mags
Where can I get one
How long you had to wait on it to come after you order it
Almost two months
Did you order directly from shield arms?
@@Dmyoung824 yes
@@DiamondCisneros This is the first time someone finally answered how long it took to get the mags. Thanks
I have their mags and it always locks the slide back with 1 round remaining. Not impressed
definitely recommend loctite

The bottom of the S15 mag is thin metal vs the bottom of the OEM Glock mag, negative Ghostrider. I looked at this myself. It doesn’t fit.
you DO NOT re use that plastic floor plate on the spring..
Any issues with loading 20 rds at first?
I did how did you fix it?
@@iyetiweddie1870 i ended up just forcing it until it took all 20. I’ve had it under tension now since i made this comment to help break in the spring

How to use shield arms equipment:
Throw it in the garbage.
Save yourself all this headache: ua-cam.com/video/6HuEk7SG1A4/v-deo.html
Or just buy a Hellcat . Because they were smart enough not to compromise size because they uses a double stack magazine
Lol this guy shows you how to do it wrong what a doink .
What the hell man. You never inserted the spring ! 😖😡
More confusion than it was worth rather watch someone who knows instead of says maybe or it’s supposed to go there
“THiS?…Im pRetTy suRE”… dude if you don’t know don’t make a video on it wasting people time talking about stickers instead
