Hey, it worked! I tried it with a sim from Orange that I didn't need anymore (but still works)... at first I got a "No Service" message & started to panic... but the time I loaded up this video the service connected & I got a system text message from Orange.
Now I'll do the same to my current SIM!!! Thanks!!!
Oh, for those people having trouble with the A4 vs. 8.5x11 formatting, make sure you set it to print "actual size".. default is to scale it to the paper you have.
You Inserted the Sim Card But it's sill says NO SIM
Worked like a charm! Be sure to check that u print on "true size" (100%)... My printer changed it to fit (97%)!
Check the size metric on the page after printing!
This worked fine for me no problems everything works fine. I have ordered a new nano sim from my provider they tried to charge me for this but if u kick up a stink about it telling them that sim cards get given away and a sim card copy device is only £1 they will send it out for free. Good vid explained exactly what i needed to do don't listen to anyone else it does work as long as u follow the steps to the point and don't cut through chip as it will stop it from working.

oh gosh it worked like a charm. I had iphone 4s with chatr service in canada. Recently bought new iphone 5 but can't use it because chatr has no nano sim but watching this video i take a risk to cut my 4s sim to see if that will work on my iphone 5 and GUESS WHAT....IT WORKED !! Very helpful tutorial. I followed your instructions, used your PDF, and I did it. If you are looking for a nano sim from T-mobile, you are out of luck. They are not giving it to anyone unless you sign a new contract. As soon as T-mobile rep learns that you are an existing customer, he/she will say it's out of stock.
I marked out the lines with a pencil, then scored with a crafting knife, and then cut with scissors with ease. Tested it in the slot on my Lumia 930 and it didn't need adjusting or sanding. It fit in there perfectly snug.

Yes Yes yes, if you need to get your 4s (and older/newer) unlocked then the best place to go is iphonegeeks(.us). The only true site that i have found so far !!!!
Worked like a charm. Something to note, I had my new iphone 5 ON when I inserted the sim and it didn't recognize it. I freaked thinking I royally screwed up, just needed to restart the phone, and it recognized it without any issues whatsoever.
Could have just switched the airplane mode on and off.
did this at 3 am without the paper, it worked, didnt expect that.
this was great what i did though to avoid cutting the gold chip I placed a nano SIM on top of the regular SIM exactly to cover the full gold and taped it in place then used scissors and cut directly around and evened it out after and it fit perfectly! and worked indeed it worked!!!!
Thanks for the info! This has nothing to do with LTE, that technology is built within the device itself not the SIM so anyone considering doing this can rest assured it will work and you will still get your LTE speeds.

Thanx I have two 4s from sprint and three from AT&T I did as you said to unlock the AT&T from eBay but I still need to get the sprint one going, I guess I'll have to wait. Thanx again bruh.
Cheers! Worked great. Make sure you keep to the lines. You only need it to fit, so if it's slightly rough/deformed around the outside, don't worry, it should still work if it fits. When I checked for the print out, it was unavailable. Just search on Google "Micro sim to Nano sim template". Hope that helps! :)
I used the side of the wheel of a bench grinder and tried inserting it into the frame ..simple ..no template and it worked fine..just ensure it sits flat into its frame /cradle and keep it even..I didnt have to hit the gold metal at all just do a little at a time and keep it square.. I was turning the grinder on and off and grinding the sim as it powered down..safer that way..watch ya fingers tho..NO responsibility taken by me ..but I didnt need a printer tho...keep it all even and a fine line up to the sim. good luck

Worked perfectly for me. I used 3M double sided tape I already had, and after marking the chip, I took it off from there and just cut the lines with scissors.
Is everything that was already on the SD card still be on there even though you cut it? Like pictures and music?
That's not an SD card, but a SIM card. DO NOT cut your SD card! You'll need to purchase a MicroSD if that's what you need. The SIM card just contains network information (and phone numbers in some cases, which should survive).
yes, first I line up my micro sim card on template and cut it all the plastic part then on both side i cut the gold part because actual sim card is only middle of the round gold part so you have to be very careful not touch that part. For better understanding how much should i cut gold part i used my friend nano sim card for comparison...so luckly it worked perfectly for me. It is risk but its worth trying Good luck.

@EverythingApplePro I know there isn't that much info, but I believe a informational video about the progress of the T-Mobile 3G refarm would appeal to a large audience.
thought i was going to completely mess it up but it was very simple, just a few pointers make sure its a very sharp blade you are using as it is not easy to cut at all and lots of selotape to stick it down
used this and was able to cut down 3 of my SIM cards perfectly thx :) .

In my case, I started by working on the edges closest to the gold contacts, and they ended up being flush to them going from micro to nano. Then I worked on the wider plastic edges. I scored a line with a knife, then cut with electrical side-cutters where the straight edge is facing inwards and the beveled edge of the cutter blade faces out, and filed the edges for an exact fit to the card holder. The plastic was fragile, so doesn't crack smoothly unless you score it with a knife first. If it doesn't work you may have a short between the gold contacts around the edges, so could maybe gently scrape your blade around the edge to clean out any particles of gold causing a short? I also wiped over the card surfaces with an alcohol wipe to clean off dust etc.

Sorry, I know this has been asked before but I will surely need to cut a bit of the chip (copper). My question is, which side should I cut? I noticed in your video that you actually cut part of the chip (copper) on the left side with chip facing up. My iPhone hasn't arrive, that's why I haven't tried it. So cutting part of the chip itself shouldn't damage the SIM?
