The template I used:

The A4 version:

I used the letter one, you should use the one according to what kind of paper you are printing on. Be sure to set it to print "actual size" in the print settings.
There are many other templates available.
Disclaimer: I assume no liability if you doink it up, so perform at your own risk! Worst case is you're back to having to acquire a new SIM & can't use your old phone til then.
If you are not sure about the SIM card sizes for your models, this site looks like a pretty good way to ascertain SIM card sizes for many different models: www.devicespecifications.com But, I can't vouch for their accuracy.

I like how precise this guy is. Some others just wing it and make cards that wobble in the tray, i'm not fond of that.
Thank you for the video and templates!
thank you for telling me i can pop out my sim nano part. It made my life so much easier to put it into my 6S
Right on... thx Shqdow!
You don't need a template, just cut the corner in an angle and the rest cut it with scissors real close, use sand paper if you have and slide the sides on it on a flat surface, should work, just did it with 2 cards... HAPPY!

yeah but the long side not touching the corner is cut more
Some older chips have a bigger contact area. It won't be as easy on those.
Good advice. The sanding sponge makes it easier to wear down the edges until it fits perfectly. Thanks bud.
Ahhh... sanding sponge. I used to know that's what you call those things. Thanks for reminding me. And for the feedback, too :)
Detailed presentation!
Thank you so much for this! Saved me from having to buy a new sim card.
Great video - now new phone is working just fine. A bit scary to cut 1mm of the metal, but no problems so far :)
Excellent video, easy to understand and apply. Thanks
Great video! i like it

Me: "Shit!"

thank you. It did work :D
Thanks for pointing out that you can just punch out the nano sim from the micro surround - I was just about to get my rusty scissors out!
Great video. It made me laugh when you said "Last thing you want is to get some SIM dust in your phone."
Thanks for this!
good god , ur life saver....thanks man
Thanks
Actually, I cut my ovn normal SIM card to nanocard for my Galay S8, and it was too big. So I did cut the chip. Works great.
Glad to have read this, mine also could in no way fit without cutting the chip. cut into it on the slanted edge and it works, 5 bars 4G LTE.
That's so helpful man I have a more than 10 yrs. Old sim I cut it to micro sim and it still works, still don't know if it will work on nano size
Well, the gold parts of the simcard aren't the actual chip, they're just the contacts, the chip is WAYYY smaller
What a relief to hear this
Yes … had to cut into copper edges. With te DOT as your guide you know where to put the 45^ edge.Went from a Samsung S5 to a Motorola One Hyper on Tmobile, works fine.Used a rough file for fine tuning.
Great video like for you (husband of pumpkin sister)
Thanks man
maybe cut the corner first to ensure the correct corner is cut? Good tip to clean after to avoid metal dust in phone!! But what about thickness (of sim), are mini micro nano the same?
THANKS BRO. WORKS GREAT. BTW, APPARENTLY THE T MOBILE REVVLRY PHONES ARE JUST MOTOROLA G7'S. THE REVVLRY+ has the 6+'' screen anyhowz. T/C \,,/ ROCK \,,/
However, the card remains at its G technology as it was released. Should you use it in a newer phone, able to connect in a superior G, that phone will not connect upper then the card's G. Ex: card 3G, phone capable 4G results phone will connect only to 3G
I wanted to make a old micro simcard a Nano simcard. I've used a plastic micro simcard and where you can see like the layout for a nano simcard. So I've used a needle for it to make the lines for it. I've cut it with a regular scissor. But unfortunatly it didn't work due to the simcard it was too old and not compatible for the new phone.
So I've placed the simcard into the micro simcard plastic layout and then back to my older phone and luckily it worked again. So in summary I had to purchase a new simcard for it :/
The music was so lit my sim just melted..
Will that sim card still have all your phone numbers and photos when you put it into the new phone. I am just about to do this. I'm new at this but your phone number will be the same im sure?. Help anyone . Thnx
Commended man,i have a 10 yrs. Old sim hoping it will work
Wow, that's an old SIM! It should be fine, but it could be a little brittle. Good luck!
Man thanks for replying but im really really confused,my old sim has so large gold part if i cut it maybe 1/4 of it will be gone and lines in the gold part will be cut
That sim was I think from the first genaration of sim cards, had it since I was grade six torn between cutting it or not,btw also I already cut it to micro sim pretty works but then nano was so smaller it would cut almost 1/4 of the sim
Sounds like you started with a mini-SIM, cut to micro-SIM & now need a nano-sized SIM? I've never tried that before. The actual contacts should still work, so that shouldn't be an issue. Some newer devices run the newer SIMs on 1.8v while the older ones can be 5 or 3.3v. If it requires a higher voltage, but only gets a lower voltage - it just won't work, but that can't kill your device. The biggest concern I would have is getting loose particles inside the phone which you can't easily get out. So if you cut it & the contacts are frayed or something, I would ditch it. Also make sure you can correctly orient it after all that cutting. But other than those caveats, it could still work & if it doesn't you're back where you started - just needing a new SIM card.

Hahaha trying to avoid that, but still I wanna use this sim to a new phone, but yeah guess I won't sacrifice my old sim for a new phone, thanks for advice
You didn't show if it still works after cutting it!
Spoken like a true tester, Software Test! It works I tell ya! :P Well, in certain cases I guess I forego proofs in the interest of brevity. Thanks for keeping me honest tho :O)
Will this work going from a galaxy amp prime to a galaxy s9?
According to www.devicespecifications.com, the GAP has a micro-sim & the s9 takes a nano sim. So, if that is correct, then this procedure would work for you.

Hilarious. I've been stressing over this, searching, trying to figure out how to order a nano one from the stupid place, and all I had to do was 1:13
Thx. Hope I won't fuck up my sim. Wish me luck :P
Will this work for an iPhone 5s?
Hey Space Cosmo... iPhone 5 series was the first iPhone gen to use the nano-SIM format. Therefore if you have a micro-SIM & need that SIM to operate on an iPhone 5s, this procedure can definitely work for you. :O)
The Grok Shop ayeeee, thanks, just comfirming before I actually do this... Gotta be safe at all times
