Metroid Fusion is one of my favorite games in the series, so I decided to reimagine some of the music for fun and see what I think it'd sound like modernized to fit on consoles with fuller sound hardware. I wanted to align it more with my favorite soundtracks in the series - especially Metroid Prime - while not straying too far from the unique military vibe that Fusion's soundtrack really pushes. Here's the result, with probably more remixes/reimaginings from this game on the way!

This makes me imagine an alternative timeline, where instead of fusion being 2D it was 3D and Prime Was the 2D game
In hindsight I feel like both games wouldn’t be nearly as well received unfortunately. Fusion would be seen as way too far a deviation and Prime would be seen as a lesser retread of Super. Today though I’d be hella interested in those projects
@@cato3277 It’s kinda like imagining a timeline where Metroid Dread indeed did make it to the DS and wasn’t cancelled. Man I hope we have another Giga leak which shows the Dread Prototype. We know damn well that Nintendo stores everything they have worked on

Man this is awesome! A shame that you hear the Sector 3 music so little in the game. Only ever on your first visit since the second visit has the "Emergency in Sector 3" screaming in your ear! A Prime style Fusion remake would be nice, but i don't think it would really work. Great Remix btw. Love it!
I know, Sector 3's music is some of my favorite in the game - SUPER moody with the heat waves distorting the air, love how it fits with the desert areas. I think a Prime-style remake of Fusion would work wonderfully! The horror elements would be amazing in a first person game, and I loved imagining how unsettling the darkness of Sector 6 would be in first person while I worked on that remix. Slick! Although it's not a 1-for-1 comparison, I like it better than the original.
This soundfont is a better reflection of Samus, since it combines conventional military sounds with spacey mystic chorus.

How did you make the EXACT same sounds as are in the MP OST? Really good work
A lot of them I lovingly remade or approximated myself, but a lot of them _are_ the exact same - someone tracked down the sample CD that they used for most of the signature Metroid Prime drums & perc, and I bought it for myself :)

At some point you should do the ARC theme in the original soundfont but it should be composed to sound like a lava area, like PYR, instead of with high chime instruments. Make ARC sound like PYR.
Reminds me a lot of MGS1 in the final Metal Gear hangar.
This is practically perfect! Any chance you could upload extended versions of these tracks one day? This would be right at home in my study playlist!
I could probably make that happen :) I'm planning to put these remixes out as an album once Sector 1 is done, but my life has been insane lately and I haven't even been able to work on getting that done like I'd like to haha. I'll keep this in mind though, glad to know people are wanting more!!
