Sector 1 is a pretty iconic tune from Metroid Fusion's OST; it's the fist piece you hear as Samus lays out the exposition, instantly setting the tone of the game. I knew I had to do it right, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Now that it's done, I've remixed all the Sector themes from Metroid Fusion, and I'll be releasing them as an album when I finish the artwork - be on the lookout!

I just want to say how brilliant it was to mix the SR388 surface theme in there given that SRX is supposed to recreate the planet's conditions. If they ever remake Fusion, they should totally do that.

That little bit of the SR388 motif adds a bit of Melancholy to the whole thing.

Really digging that subtle incorporation of the original SR388 theme between the major beats, that right there is dedication.

I was gonna comment about this. Considering Sector 1 is a replica of SR388, adding snippets of Surface of SR388 made perfect sense.

@@mcglubz Darren from Shinesparkers is a good friend actually and has reached out a couple times! I haven't been able to swing it thus far because I've been writing for other things while they're doing their projects, but I'm sure we'll align at some point :)

@@PeteLepley I guess we're meant to assume the tribunals and arrests from the end of Fusion already happened? That or perhaps Excelion is their private business front, and'll be in the next game? Def a weirdly handled plot point, especially in the English version haha

At long last... it's here.... And it's FUCKING incredible.... Amazing work dude! Those droning synths mixed with the emotional piano melody and other additions really just bring this remix into it's own. My god and the addition of Surface of SR388 is genius.

Yes yes and yes. This is Perfect! The piano notes that are added is a great addition. The Prime sounds with really great with Fusion's soundtrack.
Thanks!! The piano is playing SR388's Main Tunnel theme, interpreted to fit the harmonic progression for SRX - it was waaaay too thematically perfect and I could NOT resist

This has been so worth the wait! An amazing fusion of the amazing soundtrack that is Metroid Fusion with the sound font and motifs of Metroid Prime. And honestly, I apologize for that pun because it literally explains the music perfectly and there's no other word to describe this masterpiece among the other Sectors, which are in themselves masterpieces too. So amazing.

These are all so amazing! Have you thought of doing others from the soundtrack? I think Facing a Huge Reaction, Arachnus Theme, Serris's Theme, Environmental Mystery, Crisis Mission, Environmental Intrigue, and Final Mission would all be good candidates.
I have indeed! I'm releasing all the sector themes as an album soon (gotta wait on licensing), and I've already broken the rest of the soundtrack into splits for 2 additional albums' worth of Metroid Fusion remixes :)

Unfortunately no, the Metroid Fusion remixes can't be licensed because there's been no US release of the soundtrack, so I can't put them on streaming services. The remix album is available for donations on my bandcamp though if you'd like to download this and the 6 other sector themes!

The upcoming Fusion album that every Metroid Fusion fan wants and expected. The digital version of this album in what quality are you producing it? 24bits and 48~96kHz by any chance?
Almost everything I produce comes out at 24 bit 48khz, unless a client needs something else :)
