Thanks for showing us your lovely meals. Nice and simple. I had the same success you did by eating as simple as possible. Whole foods only: A Starch, A Veggie. +1/2 cup Beans. I could not believe the results. I did not think I'd ever shed the muffin top. My husband said I'd be taking it to the grave. I'm a senior woman, and I thought I was chasing an impossible dream. Amazingly, I lost that bothersome fat. I love all you young ladies with your channels for reaching out and helping as many people as you can - leading by example. It doesn't matter what age we are - we want to look and feel amazing. And nothing looks as good as healthy feels. (Weight Watchers coined the phrase "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels." I changed it a little bit to reflect how I felt when I lost that muffin top.)

Just wanted to say thanks. This is an awesome channel. But I needed a super simple way to start. I love your A Starch, A Veggie and 1/2 cup beans. I'm currently a type 2 diabetic and I think the legumes will serve me while the one starch and one veg will keep it simple and doable. Thanks to you both.

You're absolutely right about pumpkins and other winter squashes, they have half the calories of potatoes and I find them just as filling (and sweeter). I love Kabocha squash, it's sweeter and slightly drier, I just wash it, scoop out the seeds and microwave it without a lid until soft - absolutely delicious and so satisfying you will not want to eat for hours afterwards.

Great info, You now have an old guy hooked on eating better to lose 100 pounds, I went vegan and fell off that wagon and trying to get back into it and having problems with variety. I fell into the junk food vegan items all processed tasty but I know again not good . I love eating different foods but the chore of fixing and finding indgredients suck. Thank you for your videos. I dont know if guys follow you on here or if they are to afraid they eat veggies. But I am here to stay.

Hi Chels! Long-time subscriber here and I switched to WFPB in 10/18. I was thinking it might feel repetitive to you to make these types of videos, but I wanted to say Thank You and please keep making these videos! I love the retrospective look and how it’s clear that the way you ate to lose the weight is basically how you eat to keep it off. I lost just over 30 pounds and when I slip I still get twitchy like I might backslide, forgetting how different my daily habits have become and stayed for over four years now. More than anyone else I follow in the community, watching your videos consistently gets me in the kitchen to make something healthy. Now I’m off to roast some Brussels sprouts. “Eat more veg!”

Chels, thanks to you, I am now the proud owner of three baby feijoa trees! One of the seed companies I order from sent an email about the fact that they had feijoa trees "back in stock" (I never knew they had them before!), and after checking to make sure they'll grow in my climate, I ordered three different varieties. So with any luck, this Texan yard will eventually be producing feijoas! I have only ever heard of them when you mention them in your videos, but you seem so excited about them that I had to give them a try! It's cheaper and easier than a flight to New Zealand, although that's still in the long-term plan, too. 😀

Also, veggies and legumes cause flatulence....but not avocados, potatoes or rice.
But, I have faith...I need to do this, I HAVE TO DO THIS....

You have done fantastic and your such an inspiration but I also think it’s also important to put into perspective that you also just had a baby so had some baby weight on initially which is natural to gain and does come off if you eat healthy postpartum. I see allot of influencers say they were this or that weight but they just had a baby. Which is phenomenal but in prospective.

Calorie density and all the wonderful veggies and beans. I am enjoying this way of eating so much. I've lost 4lbs in 2 weeks. I need to get more yummy things to add like spices and houmous. The only downside is that I'm quite farty 😮 does this ease when you are used to it? My lovely friend is doing injections and not eating anything qnd she has lost loads of weight, but it's not healthy and I'm worried about her, I'm hoping that she will see how much I lose and that I'm never hungry she might consider your plan.

Thank you for saying you did not eat grains, legumes, starchy veggies or even fruit doing your reset. This is what I need because I have found that with my petite frame (and being 56 y.o.) the moment I have even one portion of beans or grains a day, weight loss stops (and weight actually goes up). I need to review my way of eating if I want results. Thank you lovely Chelsea xxx

The reason i am asking since I started wfpb diet i did not add any oils to my cooking also no seeds or nuts and my blood was perfect since i added coconut milk to my coffee unsweetened and seeds such as chia, flex and hemph seeds and bit of nut butter my cholesterol went through the roof. So bummed. Waiting on my doctor to call me with a verdict. I stopped all seeds, nuts and nut milk since yesterday. Will see 😢
