Maybe with the eBay manifolds put together a whole setup with a hunter tuned wastegate and vs racing turbo as a package deal
Jackspania has screwed me twice unfortunately. Sent me a turbo that leaked boost out of the housing like crazy and then wouldn't let me replace it.
I haven’t ran one of his turbos yet but I’m sure it’s tough under certain circumstances to warranty everything. I’m sorry to hear about your experience.
You should of got it from hunter tuned never had a problem with my stuff from him

I’ve got a D16Y8 SOHC and I love it. I’m really excited I found your channel because I want to build a turbo set up for it down the road. First got to work on restoring the interior and getting it livable for daily driving though my wife hates how loud and shaky it is right now haha

Double check the welds on the b series manifold, i bought the same one and the exhaust runner wasnt fully welded

JACKSPANIA for the win! They seem to care a lot more about the quality by the looks of it. Grinding the inside is a nice touch and should flow really nice! I might have to pick one of these up this summer and redo the exhaust on mine. Edit: I just made it to the end of the video and its pretty messed up the bigger turbo's hit the manifold. I think mine would work because I am running a Precision 3231e thought. Its pretty compact.
Hi mate, any update on these manifolds?? Heard a lot of people saying they crack at the welds? Just bought one on eBay after watching this video however I’m thinking of trying to cancel the order after reading peoples complaints lol.

I got the steel black mounts however I think I'm gonna grab your mounts also I bought a to4e cheap ass turbo however I think I'm gonna buy one of your turbos as well I noticed both you guys like the 3071 I was looking at 3076 previously

I have a shit ton of jackspania stuff so well see how it holds up
One upgrade I discovered is to extend the fuel return line inside the tank on the fuel sending unit down to the sock. If you have the return fuel constantly pouring fuel on the sock, you don't get fuel starvation issues when the tank gets to 1/2 or lower. The return line ends where it enters the sending unit no where near the sock. No need for a surge tank or keeping the tank full or anything. Some company makes a kit thats a tube and a rubber bracket to hold the tube in position but forget the name.
Honed developments makes a kit for the fuel pump return and also a water neck spacer to run temp sensors and turbo water feed lines for stuff like the disco potato that need both. Burton racing also makes a spacer off of the oil filter for oil feed and temp.
I got a friend who's using the adlerspeed twin disc making 650hp for a while now no issues just a lil noisy...

Hypereutectic pistons like YCPs don’t grow as much as forged pistons therefore they do not require a lot of wall clearance. Just curious what you guys went with for piston to wall clearance and ring gap?
I went with 0.0018” piston to wall and 0.019” top/0.023” bottom ring gap for my sons D16Y build. It’s been a year now on pump E85 and 27psi of boost; daily driver.
Our previous D16Y build had a larger 0.0025” wall clearance and the pistons were NOISY as hell; never got quiet when warmed up. The pistons finally rocked the ring lands to death after only about 11 mos; rings lost seal, oil burning out the exhaust.
We’ve had no piston/ring/wall issues since going with the tighter wall clearance 🤙
That's crazy, I have had mine for almost 7 years now and my PTW is 0.0035 with Vitara pistons.. They slap a tiny bit when its cold but they quiet down pretty quick and the engine doesn't smoke at all and has really good compression.. You seemed to have been pretty unlucky with your last setup.
I made 650hp on plm b series top mount on 35lbs of on turbonetics super 60 t3/t4
Still need to figure out the measurements ont the manifold bolt holes and flange size so i can see if its a b series or d series that is compatable with my engine .. would really be dope to have a hunter tuned turbo manifold lol but maybe one day 😅.. till then work with what we got lol ... much love and respect brotha peace stay safe keep it rad and build on... l8z brothas
Just use a gasket if you're trying to find the difference.
@@chucknorris3984 im trying to find out the measurements so I can use a Honda manifold on a Mazda engine lol .. I know it works just can't remember what one to use if it's b series or d series .. dont want to spend few hundred on wrong manifold lol ... if I had a gasket that would deff work for a template to check fitment tho so that is a good idea broski ... peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z fam

What is the budget brake line you get?
Budget isn’t really the word. Valex racing on ebay is the company we get our stainless steel braided brake lines.
I've already been through two top mount Jack spania manifolds in less than a year due too them cracking I've given up on getting a good one from them

I hink he inteded the turbo to be face the opposite way on the jackspania though i could be wrong.

😮JackSpania Manifold Ftw - def can tell the detail in his work.. with a good price tag.
You will have way more turbo to manifold clearance with the PLM. The JackSpania manifold will not clear a GT3582R turbo at all

adlerspeed is the same as any other noname item's instal it the right way most fail because people don't use padle stop and over press it so it's going to slip there are a few that use them on awd k serie 800hp and hold fin why won't hold it on a 500hp d series😉

And stock sleeves will work for the power goal of the car.
Don't run that blue evergreen belt. It will break prematurely. Used two of them, and both made it 8,000 miles like on the dot.

Same here. My manifold snapped the flange off while driving. Turbo luckily fell and got hung up by boost line

Make sure he gets aftermarket oil pump and napa s certified honda dealer 16:41
Rather use a stock one with a port and shim 100x before if consider even running aftermarket. Seen to many aftermarket ones crack gears.
