I like the 2500 Regal as well. I bought one last year shortly after I bought the Revros. I caught the Regal on sale at Midway for $50 with free shipping. I pared it with a 7 ft medium heavy Duckett for my Shakey head setup.
I have the 3500 and absolutely love it. Paired with a spinmatic ultralight spinning rod, its a combo thats smooth as silk and doesnt break the bank. Diawa just released the newer version of this reel and I have yet to figure out what the change has been to the new 2024 version other than it looks different.
Sometimes they just change up the color a little from year to year but it is usually the same reel and same internal components. I to enjoy the reel. Thanks for watching and commenting

Well it really depends a lot of time on a spinning reel I run braid to a fluorocarbon leader. I been using Daiwa braid and it has been working good to what ever fluorocarbon I decide to use. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
Yes it does real in very smooth but the line doesn’t fly off it when casting and yes it tends to real line in over the bottom of the spool I wouldn’t buy it again
Even in your video when you cast, you can hear the line coming off of the real. I never had a real that sounded like that before and the line just doesn’t fly off of it.
@@mgolata i guess i went back and watched the video to listen to the sound and all my spinning reels sound like that. Maybe i spool more line on the other people. But i use multiple times a week and it is being used in a tournament right now as we speak with my son. Maybe this reel isnt for everyone.
Idk if anyone will read this comment before i pull the trigger and buy this thing, but does anyone know if you can use it for 15 lb test braid for bass/pike fishing? If you see this please respond ASAP
Really I have no complaints about this reel at all I use it a lot and it is a work horse. Every day on the water I am using it. Not sure what there problem would be

I heared this reel has problems with line rolling sometimes on the lower area of the spool when you make casting
That sounds like to much line on the reel from over spooling

Wow used it today and it was flawless maybe you got a bad one. Mine will sling a bait as far as I want it to go

@@mgolata 8 pound mono and then some have 15 pound braid to a 8 pound floro leader

I run 15 pound braid all the time on my spinning reels with a fluorocarbon leader hope that helps
