Hi, like an other viewer earlier on mentioned you should tell the machine you're using a watercooled torch. Now, in your vlog you're using a different brand toch. The cooler doesn't recognise the torch and doen't switch on. Make a connection between pin f and g in the amphenolplug and the machine knows you're using a watercooled torch. Good luck!
Thanks Erik, I have had the torch switch plugged back in and it has been working great. Thanks for the tip about the pins, I have now removed all the excess cables and just have the pins jumped, works perfectly!
I noticed your not actually using the 83amps it suggests but 57amps so you not actually using the weld assist settings. I have the same welder and noticed yours didn't apply the correct current.
@@AdamTaylor right makes sense. Haven't got the foot pedal yet machine is mainly used for stainless steel just welding some aluminium at the moment for my car and found your videos really helpful for settings.
Hello, the cooler should turn on as soon as you start to weld on AUTO mode. There is no temperature sensor for the cooling liquid, just thermal protection of the machine itself. cheers
Correct, since adding the CK torch I have had to 'jump' the pins on the factory plug to get the cooler to operate. I should really do a video on this... Thanks so much for taking the time to comment on this, I really appreciate it!
Hi I have the same welder but the 335 when the water cooler is on auto it’s starts the second you start welding and runs for 20 seconds or so after you stop which keeps my touch cool. not sure why Yours is not doing the same. Have you tried using the original Kemppi torch may be Worth a try. Thanks. Dave. Hill engineering.
Hey Dave, even with the Kemppi torch it doesn't turn on. I actually thought is was the Kemppi torch that was the problem, I'm not the only one with this problem that's one of the reasons I did this test today. Do you use a foot pedal or finger switch?
@@AdamTaylor Hi Adam. Thanks for reply. I usually use the finger switch on the torch but do have and use a wireless foot pedal when welding ally and the water cooler still works the same on auto. Ive just tried it with the water flow sensor off and it still works. Have you tried asking Kemppi maybe a problem with you’re machine. would be very unusual for a Kemppi.
I know exactly what your issue is with the auto cooling, its in the torch, the genuine kemppi torch tells the welder which tells the torch is watercooled. Without that feedback your welder thinks its a gas cooled torch.
@@AdamTaylor there's some internal circuitry/witchcraft going on, im not 100% sure what, but if its doing it with the kemppi torch being plugged in then there's definitely something not right. Or something missing

Thanks!
Hi Adan , Thanks a lot for the video, please with stainless steel, and cromoly please as well
Sure thing!

I use a foot pedal on this machine, the 57Amps is the low and the 82Amps is the high on the foot pedal, all part of the Weld Assist feature 👍

Thanks for your input Dave, looks like the original torch needs to be plugged in, even with a foot pedal connected🤷♂️
Does this machine have the amplitude settings?
It does, with the foot pedal connected they are in a 'backend' menu though

How does it tell the welder?
I have the same problem with the Kemppi torch connected too.

Из этого видно,что лучше использовать оригинальные горелки Kemppi,на которые есть гарантия.
Please take a mask on, or get a extraction unit 😅
Appreciate you!
