Hey everyone, thank you for watching today's video! Don't forget to subscribe & give this video a thumbs up if you enjoy. In this video I am showing you how to achieve a nice winged eyeliner look with your eyes OPEN. My mistake back in the days would be, being to focused on how my eyeliner looked with my eyes closed. At the end of the day we're not walking around with our eyes closed all day so it makes more sense to focus on how it looks with your eyes open. I hope how I show how I do my eyeliner & the tips I give you will help you better your eyeliner-game. If you still have some questions let me know in the comments! x An

Did you learn anything new from today's video? 🥰🥰
Yes😊
@@isratjahanmisty2153 happy to hear!!😍🙊💗
@@AnKnook Thank u sister🙈😘😘 for replying me.
@kngsalmara good to hear!!!🥰🥰💗
I always did my eyeliner with my eyes closed and never like the way it came out. I am definitely going to try this technique. Thank you ❤️
How I wish someone with REALLY hooded eyes make a tutorial. I mean you have eyelids visible not just eyelashes showing under the eyebrows haha
Yep. My hoods go below my eyes. I literally cannot do wings without a line a few inches long that looks a mess.
Ssme. Its so annoying. There is no one who had a line that ends at the eye. There is no way to do a wing eyeliner i dont think
legit
Same struggle 🙁
Totally right
Ive learnt that u do not have hooded eyes ☺
I used to wear perfect winged liner but as I age my eyes slowly become hooded month after month, and it seems I couldn’t get the grip anymore… now I finally understand why, I can totally relate. Thank you so much, cannot wait to try it!
100% agree! My wings were the envy of everyone and I didn’t even need to put in effort but the hooded lids came with age and now I struggle. But this looks so helpful!!
Me too🙃😕
Same here. I found the tutorials of Alissa Ashley very helpful for very hooded eyes and winged liner
It's called Botox get yourself a brow lift. If you're not into Botox then you're just going to have to deal with it.
@@chelseafricke2068 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼sure
I'm 62 years old, and need all the help I can get! Can't wait to try this.
That’s so true about doing your liner with your eye closed. Will definitely be trying your technique, because mine needs help lol. Thanks for sharing this video 👍🏼👍🏼
I have 5 skin eyelid folds on my left and 4 skin eyelid folds on my eyes and I'm struggling :(
This is the absolute BEST winged eyeliner tutorial I've ever seen! Thank you so much for this! I'm always apprehensive about doing a wing because of my hooded eyes. I can't wait to try this
Amazing video!! Thank you. I’ve been doing my makeup for 30 plus years as each decade the more hooded my eyes look. Awesome technique.
So I have hooded eyes but like the point where the crease of my eyelids ends is way more far and down of where the next "point" for the eyeliner to connect so how can I adapt that to my eyes? I've been searching for a video but I have found nothing:
My crease falls below my outer corner. I just can't wear winged liner at all.
Thank you so much for this!
I never considered my lids to be hooded, but they are at least partially. It confused me so much when it came down to the two creases, and I never knew what to do. Your video explains perfectly!
I learned I’ve been doing it wrong…..😂
Ahh honestly there's not really a '' wrong'' way.. whatever works for you is what matters & if you're not happy with your eyeliner I hope my tips help you achieve the result you want! 🥰 🥰
@@AnKnook When you were saying how you didn’t put your eyeliner in certain spot because when you opened your eyes it disappeared. That’s exactly what I was doing lol and I was like what the heck am I doing wrong
Never thought of this technique, makes sense. When your eyes close it stretches and when you open it constricts, making makeup look crooked. This tutorial really helped, especially after 60
Another way to do it so it looks perfect both open AND closed is to swoop the line right below where your hood crease ends then wing it out horizontally towards your temple instead of angling it up toward your eyebrow. By doing this you avoid the weird bat wing shape and it looks amazing. If you have extremely hooded eyes you can point the wing downward slightly to do what is called "puppy liner."
I'm pretty sure I saw a video about a while back but didn't save. I don't do wings anymore in my late 40's but would like to start again. Do you have the link?
Thank you! i have one hooded eye, the other not. Slightly Horizontal for the more hooded eye makes both eyes look balanced! Great tip
unfortunately my weirdly upturned eyes look really weird with horizontal/downturned liner, I personally don't mind the bat liner as it does look pretty cool. Altho your tip might help some people, hopefully
@@worstusernameintheworld9871 Yeah, everyone's eyes are different so it can take some playing around with the angle and where you start it to get it to look right on you.
When I'm having a lot of trouble getting the angle right and no matter what I do the edge of the eyeliner doesn't look straight what I do instead is draw the wing triangle outside my crease where it would go if I didn't have hooded eyes then go over the liner on the edges of my lid nearest the lashes with black eyeshadow until it just barely joins the bottom of the wing triangle then add a thin line of a dark medium brown just above it. Smoke it out with a clean fluffy brush first then add a slightly lighter brown until you have it blended out smoothly. You may need to add more black eyeshadow near the edge of the lashes afterwards.
Tip: Putting masking tape under your eye at at the same angle as the wing helps keep the blended eyeshadow from going down too far and keeps the bottom line crisp, it's the upper part of the line you're trying to hide by smoking it out.
You mean fox/siren eye?
This is definitely the way to do winged liner. Thank you for posting this tutorial!
And this is how EVERYTHING should be done on the eyes (liner, shadow placement, brows, false lashes...): *Oppened eyes, look straight forward, don' t pull the skin, don' t move a single muscle*
Simply, braviiissssima. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
Awesome tutorial and I love your *tips and notes. I have done cat-eye liner forever, but now I am more *mature and of course, your eye hoods get worse. Only thing I would add for us mature ladies is not putting powder on your lids, especially if they are dry. I'm still looking to see what I could use to seal. Definitely trying this technique! New subbie :) Thank you!
Perfect!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
this explains why my liner looks so bad lol. thank you!
I will try!
In the beginning was nice now is to difficult for me
Love you 💞
I miss u long time
Thank you so much 🥰
This video is going to help so many people. I learned this method not long ago and god I wish I had sooner. But I never understood why wings never looked right on me, no matter how many tutorials I followed. And even though I've already learned this now before seeing this video, I have to say I've never seen it explained as well as you have here. Bravo.
Lz make such videos on different type of eyeliner ❤️
What kind of eyeliner would you like to see?💗
💞
Thank you so much for this!!
Thank you for watching 🥰💗
This worked so well for me!!! I could never get it right having really hooded eyes but this worked a treat thankyou 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!! Thank you so much for making a video that finally explains why my eyeliner is always wonky even though it looks straight when closed!! All the other "hooded" eye makeup tutorials don't really show actually hooded eyes!
I also have hooded eyes and it never occurred to me to shape it with my eyes open! Going to try this soon
Yeah! It makes a lot of difference.
Perfect
Waooow, what a perfect eyeliner. Love it
I think you have to start a bit higher with the line to lift your eye optically because the way you made the line was a little bit too deep and so the eye looks „hanging down“ a little bit.. but still the technique is also mine 😊
Thanks a lot of this video ☺️💖❤️.
It’s always when I attempt either winged liner or lashes that I completely ruin the entire look. I absolutely cannot master it. I’ll definitely try this but for me, I find it much easier to spray a liner brush with setting spray, dip it into a thick, dark shadow and start lining and making a lil wing from there. It’s great cause you can build it up and if you make a mistake it’s much more forgiving. I say “thick” shadow because I find that some dark shades in certain pallets ( tartlet in bloom) for example, they don’t blend well. Those are the shadows that seem to work the best for liner. Probably would be great for brows too if you can find your shade.
On my way to a much better eyeliner look! Thank u so much for this video 💖
Love your work! Thanks so much ❤🙏
Amazing 🥰 and your brows are BEAUTIFUL ❣️
❤️❤️❤️ Thank You so much for this tutorial!! I am definitely going to try this technique on my hooded eyes. I have been waiting on a more in-depth explanation of winged liner for eyes like mine. 😁😁😁
I tried your technique and it worked beautifully!! I have to practice a lot more, but this is really cool!! ❤️☺️
the problem is..my eyelid is so long that when I do eyeliner it’s going down.. but after some time i liked it! It makes me have puppy eyes so i thought to do a long line and make it directed upwards at the end. This shape of eyeliner leave an empty place next to my outer corner so i thought to fill it with a white eyeliner and im happy with what i achieved 😂 my personalized eyeliner method
My eyes are way more hooded so the crease really gets on the way, so eyeliner is difficult for me to apply
I swear I could never perfect the wing eye look some days it comes out better than others, but I also have hooded eyes so its alittle more trying for me. As they say practice makes perfect
❤❤❤
Omg thank you for this!
Oh wow that's fantastic
Follow the dots! There may yet be hope for me with eyeliner. Thank you!
OMG this is the BEST wing tutorial ever. EVER! I am totally doing it this way from now on
The problem for me is I love big eyeliner but I have extremely hooded eyes and I hate using primer as each one I try is shit (I don't know a good brand) so every day I do it, it looks a different style that doesn't fit my eyes such a pain
Thank you for doing this video. This is exactly the problem i have and have stopped wearing eyeliner or at least doing a winged liner because of it. Cant wait to try this
I want natural and not too thick😭
I’ve been researching winged eyeliner tutorials for years and could never get it perfect. This video has been the closest her, still not perfect but better results than the other tutorials.
Omg thank you for this technique I have a hard time doing my eye liner and I have hooded eyes so I hope this will help me to feel comfortable doing eyeliner ❤️
Nice 🎉
Thank you🥰💗💓
I don't know why this is so difficult to do!!😩😩😩
LOVE THIS!
My mind: SHE IS DUTCH!
I could hear u speak English with the dutch highlights😆
hahah very nice video! I do the same!
Amazing video 💜
I will try this, I have very hooded eyes. Thanks.
Great video!
This is an old video ans I wish I had found it before!! It's been YEARS since I started looking for a solution for my - always more and more - hooded eyelid.. But nothing did really work and I was so disappointed I decided not to wear eyeliner anymore. I saw this video and just tried randomly... TWO PERFECT WINGS! You have no idea, An, how grateful I am towards you! THANK YOU!! ❤
My liners don't work like this. I tried several brands and versions. But always its like u write with a almost empty Ballpoint pen. So i have to redraw multiple times and while doing that its not precise anymore. What am i doing wrong... use powder and primer 😢
So funny, TaeBae : F on mbti 😅😂 cute under the influence. Cute dorky Drunk smile
Nice tips. Pleasant voice. I find most makeup utuber girls anoying.. sorry not sorry 😐
I've tried similar methods and it still looked HORRENDOUS on me.
i have super hooded eyes, like if i apply eyeshadows i need to go really really high or we will see nothing and i was so frustrated that my eyeliner always looked sooo bad. THANKS, it will help me a lot!
I appreciate the help but it’s so disturbing please stop so things aren’t so weird 😂 like what in the world are you doing looking at me that closely I know stop !!!!
My eyes are more hooded that those :( and even the initial “straight” line with the eyes opened doesn’t really look straight….
Annoyingly the crease of my top eyelid comes down in line with my outer eye lid. Also as I have astigmatism in one eye my eyelid crease is different on each eye, also having a steady hand probably helps 😅
Gostei do vídeo mas sem legenda em português fica difícil acompanhar.
Fantastic so detailed xx
Your eyes very similar with Alexandra Posnova's eyes )))
Great Tutorial 🌺
This is a lot easier Thank you
🥰 🥰 🥰
My brows are basically invisible. I can't use them as a guide.
If I only put the eyeliner without any other makeup on my skin is the powder still necessary?
I have a family wedding to attend next week. And I have hooded eyelids and I always wanted wing liner so now I can do it. Thanks so much for that tip!
i just can't do it.. i'm about the give up on eyeliner but i really want my eyes to look a little bit slanted
Your caption covered entire prime focused part of eye to watch it nice..so no use thanks
Yes I'm just now trying the winged eyeliner BUT I did 1 eye opened & 1 closed. My opened eye looks the BEST!!!
thank you so much!
Thanks for taking the time to watch😍💗🥰
oh thank you so much for this! I just started wearing makeup again and I AM RUSTY! xD
lmao my hood starts pretty much on the eyelashes so i guess i just cant do wings lol
Could you tell us how to do makeup on protruding puffy eyes
I love this hack😍😍
Glad to hear🥰💗
Looks nice!
But I do wish I could find even one MUA that could demonstrate how to do a winged liner when the eyelid fold/crease ends below the outer corner. (My 40 yr old hooded eyes are much more like Lisa Kudrow or Leelee Sobieski - like zero lid space, and long crease, so I don't know that a winged liner would be possible or practical, but I'd love to try!)
Less than one minute video turned into a 5-minute video I'm so sick of this shit
Excellent tutorial!
Thank-you!
💜💕💜💕💜
Just do the liner with your eyes opened and you won't get a curve xdd
I always have problems with my eyeliner because I have hooded eyes. That is why I avoid liquid eyeliner. But I will try this technique.
Thanks for the tips.
New subscriber here ❤️
This is the first time I actually find someone with the same eyeshape as me. Hooded and round. Miss you saved a soul over here 👈.
THANK YOU!!!!
I only do wing liner, have for years but I’m never happy with it and just get the even-ness close enough 😅 love seeing a new technique I’m definitely trying this one ☝️
What should I do if my crease(?) is longer? If I draw a line even slightly upward from the end point i would be still on top of my crease
there was a time when it would take 2 min. to perfect my line...now? Forget about it😂
Thank you for showing me I don't have to lose my edgy look as I age❤
Now make the same on the other eye this is the problem for most of us!
Thank you so much for this! I have hooded eyes and didn’t realize it, and I love cat eyeliner! But I couldn’t get it to look right, especially because I have a scar where the wing usually goes. I can’t wait to wear it out!
This is the first time I've ever been able to do this style of winged liner for hooded eyes. My eyelids are very hooded and a bit uneven, the crease line on my lids especially the right one actually almost lines up with my lower lash line now that I am in my mid-thirties. I actually think my eyes are pretty with no makeup, I just hate that I could never make a cat eye look work anymore because it is my favourite. Thanks for the great tutorial, you have a new subscriber for sure!
I used to wear eyeliner all the time and I was a teen and I sucked at it exactly because my eyes are super hooded lol Then I stopped for years and trying to get back it now in my 20s. Definitely gonna try doing it like this
This is great! My eyes have started to become hooded with age and winged liner looks terrible now. It really upset me that I couldn’t wear it anymore so I’m going to try this.
Beautiful when you do it. Not so much when I do it.
What I do is draw the wing first and then draw a line almost halfway across just barely above my crease that merges smoothly with the original wing. I have nearly no lid space so I'm basically drawing a new eyelid. When I look straight ahead you barely see the line I've made above my crease because its mostly hidden by skin. It's sort of like a cut crease but for eyeliner. The wing by the way for me personally is not straight when I close my eye and lift up my lid because of the way I connect the eyeliner to make it appear straight when my eyes are relaxed but no one else would see this but me.
