Same! It was on insta too, it emerged in summer 2020, i discovered it then and am happy ever since to rock winged and graphic eye liners. :) The only downside os that colors brighter than black show the hood crease wrinkle more than black, that's unfortunate but not to change with hooded eyes without surgery, that's as far as the illusion can take us ✨
Yes! Someone on UA-cam with real hooded eyes and not just "slightly hooded". Real tips that will actually work on my eyes. I could almost cry right now.
I like the geometric look. It’s an awesome trick. Instead of worrying that hooded lids keep us from wearing the typical extended line look at the awesome visual effect this has that you couldn’t do WITHOUT hooded lids. Stephanie I say you give us more looks that you can only wear on hooded lids. 👍🤗

You should! It has literally changed my thoughts and feelings on eye makeup completely! I used to feel discouraged, but now I love creating this look!🤗

oh my god. i never realized what was wrong with all the other hooded eye makeup tutorials i watched. i thought I was just doing it wrong but their hoods were just a smaller size. Thank you so much
I'm a lot older than you, and my hoods are even heavier now because of my age. But inspired by Korean MUAs, I've been focusing more on my LOWER lid space, and doing a thicker band of color aimed out to the end of my eyebrow. It's the only way I can get out from under the hood flap (yes, flap) these days. I don't use dark shades, but rather take a contouring approach, minimizing the hoods, lengthening my eyes and opening them up.

I really appreciate it considering I loveee doing makeup this totally stepped my game up! Took me about 7 times of re watching this to perfect it! So worth it!
Ik it's like a graphic liner natural to our own shape and i love it. I also just go across the lid, just with a more extended and horizontal wing for larger eyes effect.
Its a really cool method and I'm surprised because I've never seen this technique before however I think people with hooded eyes should make the winged liner more outwards because it elongates the eye shape and i dont think taking the liner all the way to the inner corner of the eye is great because there isn't much space there, I don't know if that's just my preference or true but give this a try too guys x
Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. This looks good and all don't get me wrong, but then there's not enough space for eyeshadow. We already have such limited eye space so Ig doing this takes it all 🥲
Ohhhh yeeeeah. Thank you yt algorithm and thank you for this video. My eyes look like yours and i also don't have a lot of real estate under my eyebrows 😅

Girl I completely understand lol it’s so hard to do looks others can do who don’t have hooded eyes but I’m not giving up on finding new looks for hooded eye people like us! 😊
Best way for hooded eyes I find is to use eye shadows, some scotch type paper, place it at an angle making a line between nose and end of eyebrows... and place eye shadow bronzer type first, then at the external side, a darker tone and even some black if you want to get some sort of eye liner darker effect. after remove the scotch paper and voila, works wonderful... super easy... no fuss. I am the clumsy type makeup 53 lady and it works for clumsy people...give it a try on a day no one will see you if you screw up... the most challenging is to really place the scotch paper in the right place.. or else you can go too low in relation to the eye, the end of brow and the nose ... or else too high and its as if you hit and missed the right location.. but in time you will get it and its sooo easy to do.. a delight...eyes will lift inmensely. (colors of eye shadows can vary of course.. I´ve done it in all black smugging it, or else dark blue in the outer edge, and shimmer in the inside..play around with your fave shadows)
Jana Gatton thank you!! I actually don’t take vitamins...I probably should lol but I love all Acure and Derma E products for my skin care. I’m super oily so I wash my face twice a day and exfoliate 3 times a week! ☺️

I love how you demonstrate how to do this look! My eyes are hooded and uneven so when I try to do a winged look it just becomes a disaster! I will definitely try what you did! Thank you for sharing! Fingers crossed that I don’t wind up with a mess! 🤞🏼
Love this technique- will try it. I was thinking of buying those NYX liquid liners. do you have oily eye lids? do you have to wear a eye primer with this eyeliner? Does it last on hooded eyes or for so many hours?
Hi! Yes I have crazy oily eyelids and I actually made a video on what i do for my oily eyelids🤗. I don't use an eye primer just for liner looks, I'll just put my regular face primer, LIGHT layer of foundation and then setting powder only because I don't have an all over eyeshadow look. These liners last all day! I've done all day wear tests where this and it has definitely lasted over 8 hours, I highly recommend this!😊
This is fascinating! As an artist, I can see just what you're going for - I'd love to see it feathered out with blended eye shadow. As I'm over 65 but do full makeup every day, I can also see that I'd have to make some changes for myself - however, this is a good jumping off point. Thanks for the inspiration!
Ooh, that’s a good idea for another video! I can definitely feather it out with some eyeshadow! 😊 I’m glad you liked the video! Thank YOU for the inspiration! 🤗
Once I made myself such winged eyeliner when I was doing makeup for a photo on a driver's license. I wanted them to be seen, so that they were real winged eyeliner)) It was an artistic search - I just looked in the mirror and drew on the face what I wanted to be drawn.
I saw the Tom Fraser video first. This look is a little too graphic for me, but can easily blend and smoke it out. Great technique to get the liner on right. Thank you.
I am really excited to find your channel. I felt so defeated by eye makeup, but I am to try the amazing looks you have for hooded eyes! 🌹❤️💐 Thank you!
I'd love to know the secret to doing my winged liner for hooded eyes, taking account that since I'm 59, I have not 1, but two wrinkles on my upper left eyelid, and don't know how to do it, unless it might be with eyeshadow, though I've always used until the past year or two, khol pencil eyeliners. But in these 2 years, my skin has changed a lot.... Thank you for whatever tips you might be able to give me and other people!
Absolutely love this. Thank you so much for this video. I have had a hard time finding someone with actual hooded eyes doing a winged eyeliner tutorial.
You have exactly same eyes as me and this video is great. I felt so bad after watching a lot of "for hooded eyes" from people with just a little bit hooded eyes. Their tutorials didn't work for me at all. That was frustrating. Thank you very much!
I so appreciate your video and your eyeliner looks good. I try to do this but my eyes are crepey and trying to draw a line when my eyes are relaxed and I am not pulling them is almost impossible. If this is the geometric shaped video (I have watched several of your videos) I am not a big fan but if you wear it with confidence then I love it for you. I like it more in the video when you blended it out with shadow.
You came up on my suggested videos and you are beautiful😍💜 This look came out so pretty and the technique is so effective!! Amazing job! I can’t wait to see more content from you.. new subbie 😘
I looked at what the southeast Asians are doing and I place my line much lower and go for a "Korean style" make up look sometimes. For Western makeup I just draw across my lid and create a similar but less crazy geometric shape.
Happy to see that it worked out for you. I cannot make it work for myself. My eyes are so hooded they start to look like a monolid at this point. Guess I will drop the wing for ever 😅

I love how you demonstrate how to do this look! My eyes are hooded and uneven so when I try to do a winged look it just becomes a disaster! I will definitely try what you did! Thank you for sharing! Fingers crossed that I don’t wind up with a mess! 🤞🏼
I hope you like it! Practice definitely makes perfect😊
😍😍😍
This look is so beautiful! I love the blue, and the wing looks incredible! Also, those earrings are so pretty! ❤❤❤
Michelle Londyn thank you! 😊
Finally! Eyes that are actually very hooded like mine 😭✨
these tips are awesome! :D
🤗
One of the best hacks i saw is to just do your wing with your eyes opened
Best practice! 😊
Wow, that looks awesome!
Once I made myself such winged eyeliner when I was doing makeup for a photo on a driver's license. I wanted them to be seen, so that they were real winged eyeliner)) It was an artistic search - I just looked in the mirror and drew on the face what I wanted to be drawn.
Love this! 🤗
THIS IS THE REAL HOODED EYES !
Omg I finally found my hooded eye twin 😭😭😭
🤗
I saw the Tom Fraser video first. This look is a little too graphic for me, but can easily blend and smoke it out. Great technique to get the liner on right. Thank you.
I am really excited to find your channel. I felt so defeated by eye makeup, but I am to try the amazing looks you have for hooded eyes! 🌹❤️💐 Thank you!
omg finally someone with same eye shape like mine! I thought I was the only one in the earth XD I hope it works!!
I have had a hard time finding someone with actual hooded eyes doing a winged eyeliner tutorial.
that's my eyes omggg
thank youuuuuu!!!!
You have exactly same eyes as me and this video is great. I felt so bad after watching a lot of "for hooded eyes" from people with just a little bit hooded eyes. Their tutorials didn't work for me at all. That was frustrating. Thank you very much!
2 in 1 - winged AND graphic liner. ❣️
YES!!!!!🤗
I so appreciate your video and your eyeliner looks good. I try to do this but my eyes are crepey and trying to draw a line when my eyes are relaxed and I am not pulling them is almost impossible. If this is the geometric shaped video (I have watched several of your videos) I am not a big fan but if you wear it with confidence then I love it for you. I like it more in the video when you blended it out with shadow.
thank you dear
You came up on my suggested videos and you are beautiful😍💜 This look came out so pretty and the technique is so effective!! Amazing job! I can’t wait to see more content from you.. new subbie 😘
BadMad thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for your support!!!! 😊
Thank you for sharing! Looks awesome 👌
Thank you!🥰
Thank you... For confirming that I will never have normal, good looking eyeliner with super hooded eyes.
