I know that you have put so much information out there about HIV and cleared up MANY misconceptions that other have. I wasn't paying attention to that section of the first video, but you should add the disclaimer about women-men transmission somewhere if you haven't already because not everyone will watch this second video. Thank you for all that it has taken for you to put your life out there like this, I'm sure you have helped so many people!
To be honest Lakenzie, I'm sticking with what I said in my first video. After being highly connected to the HIV community for over a year now, I have only come across about 10 to 15 hetero men who have contracted the virus from a woman (vs hundreds of gay men and nearly 100 women). Not one of the almost 250 women on my HIV+ private page are aware of transmitting it to any man and many were having unprotected sex with their boyfriends when they were diagnosed. My boyfriend was exposed to me when my viral load was 507,000 and he's negative. I recently had a comment from a man whose wife was positive and they had unprotected sex for 20 years and he didn't get it. It's rare to say the least for a man to contract it from a woman. It can happen, but it's very uncommon. First of all, the concentration of HIV is lowest in vaginal secretions; semen and blood being MUCH higher and men are just built differently. If they are uncircumsized and/or have another STD and they are exposed, their risk is increased because there is a way for the virus to possibly make through via a mucous membrane, but without that scenario, we're talking about it somehow penetrating sensitive cells in the tip of the penis or it going up the urethra (both are considered low exposure). It doesn't even come close to comparing to anal/vaginal sex where blood and semen are involved. They are 2 different animals altogether. I would like to do a video about this because straight men are the ones who worry the most and have insane HIV phobia and they are truly the least likely to ever contract the virus even if they are exposed.
Ankit Shah never used to condoms or put extra condom on because it can break easy and it's not safe to put two condoms on always use one condom because it won't break.
Ankit Shah and also do not have sex with prostitutes because you're putting yourself at high risk regardless if you use a condom or not because they can break and is not 100% safe nothing is 100% safe but condom is good to use yes. Also, prostitutes have sex with multiple people and sometimes they don't use condoms or you don't know how they contract HIV even through drug usage so do not have sex with prostitutes and I'm not saying only prostitutes have HIV either anyone can have HIV you can be not a prostitute and have HIV so just be safe regardless if you have a sex with a prostitute or not.
MyLocPLUG VeganJourney - If you cared to research the HIV statistics and demographics you would learn that less than 0.1% of female sex workers are HIV+ as opposed to around 8 -10% of all gay men. Consider this, gay men make up only 2 - 3% of the population yet account for 70 - 80% of all new HIV infections. Furthermore among heterosexually transmitted cases, almost all are in the regular partners of infected people with high viral loads (usually because one partner does not know they have it) after months or years of repeated exposures. I guess what I am trying to say is your comments on prostitutes and the risk of obtaining HIV through them is completely unfounded.
jennifer, i am a nurse & i had a patient with HIV the other day and i felt so misinformed about it, so i decided to do some research and came across your videos! thank you for the info! i now feel much more informed for when i take care of another patient with the virus! hopefully i will be of some support to them next time!
Do you realize that nursing school has barely any info on HIV except that it is a blood borne pathogen? We shouldn't have to go back to school and learn anything. Jennifer is very informed and knowledgable about this subject. Just knowing the bare basics doesn't help you take care of a patient with any disease.
Ali Terry you should consult scientific literature rather than a UA-camr. Not saying she is not knowledgeable but, I have been a peer educator in the community for almost 20 yrs now and received all of my training thru CDC and health department literature along with actual docs conducting info sessions. I say all that to say you can find concrete info from other places than relying on a youtuber 🤔😶
Queenofdacastle perhaps she is trying to get a point of view from someone with the disease. Maybe she wants to understand how to give more empathy and compassion and understand the human perspective. 🤷🏻♀️
I was watching the Freddie Mercury story, and your story popped up. I actually clicked it on a whim. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for having the courage to share your story and your life. Thank you for educating those of us (er..me) in how far treatment has come, and showing that absolutely there is life after a diagnosis like this. And thank you for putting a face to a disease that shows exactly what you said...you're a "normal" lady living a normal life. And this diagnosis can (does) happen to anyone. Lastly when you mention there are many other diseases that can be worse, that's very true. My hubby has MS and Addisons disease. I have Lupus. But as my guy reminds me, "everyone has a story...and things will work out just as they're supposed to.". I'm sorry this is so long, but I just felt compelled to tell you that trite as this sounds, you're an amazing gal. Please make more videos when you have time.
Thank you for this Jacee. I'm still blown away that my video is suggested with Freddie's, what an honor. Wow. That kind of blows me away. You are so welcome, it's great to be in this position to help others understand better. I'm actually the lucky one. :)
Girl....you are so precious and so brave. Your strength and courage really shines through, and the info and experience that you've shared is valuable. I contracted HPV through a partner a couple of yrs ago, didn't know until my recent diagnosis of cervical cancer. It's people like you who share openly your story that gives us others who are a little frightened a lot of hope and comfort. Please keep sharing you when you can, because you are a shining light with such a warm heart and that is so healing right now.
I don't have HIV and I don't know anyone with it, but I love your videos. I had no idea how serious HIV is. I have twins that are 11. Within the next few years I'm going to have to sit down and talk to them about STD"s. I'm tossing around the idea of letting them watch one of your videos. Thanks so much for the info.
The only thing worth while telling them is to be on PREP if they are going to have sex with people and test every 6 months. Have your long term partners tested very 6 months together so you can see whats the reality.
Dear Jenn, people watch your video because AIDS awareness is actually out there. We subscribe because you give truthful and detailed information as well as coming off very genuine. You are classy and you are very informative. You inform as you learn and thus teach many of us whom may have information that we were unaware of. Most importantly, we now want to see you get better :) stay healthy and keep doing what you're doing!
+Jennifer Vaughan - don't be surprised that you have so many people viewing your videos or here to encourage you - it's because you are so REAL and relatable, you naturally possess an ability to connect and communicate with people. Undoubtedly, this is a gift that you have been born with and I'm sure up until you made your first video, you had no idea how you would be received! Please keep on doing what you are doing, you are such a beautiful soul and you have a gift. xxx
Just THANK YOU !! I want younger people to see this and understand how being responsible is important !! I think back when I was younger and how much risk I put myself in for lack of awareness and information and I thank god nothing happened but it could have happened! So thank you for doing this , thank you helping so many people out there !
Venice Mackay I cannot stress this enough!!!! Thankfully I haven’t ever contracted anything because my ex of 7 years who I thought I was in a serious monogamous relationship with...and that my daughter and I lived with, had been cheating on me the last two and a half years of our relationship. A friend of mine suspected and used the internet to confirm her suspicions, unbeknownst to me and found disturbing stuff almost immediately. I was blindsided. Also, going back knowing what I then knew before the last girl...he was using Work travel to sleep with many women. Because we had committed and went and got checked for STD’s & HIV in the first six months of our relationship, I thought it was safe not to use condoms since I was on birth control...I will NEVER make that mistake again. That experience was so traumatizing to me that I have abstained now for 3 years and I have no regrets about it.
@@LaPlaztique Wow. You are one strong woman!!! I've recently gotten out of a relationship where trust became an issue. Self love is important. You deserve better.
With HIV trust isn’t going to protect you. You can have two very honest sexual partners, who both fully admit to their sexual history in the past year, both readily disclose current infection test results, and still you’re not “safe.” It can take up to six months for HIV to show on a test. Your best bet is to have a convo about sexual history and then make a choice whether you’re willing to accept the risks of sleeping with a person with those behaviors. Unfortunately though people rarely have these responsible convos and when you try to bring it up they are evasive or think you are killing the mood
I happened to see your channel as I was searching for videos about Shanann Watts. For some reason, I was drawn to your very first video. I’m a 63 year old mother of 3 and grandmother of 10. I’m having heartbreaking problems with my 2 daughters. They are 41 and 45. We lost our son when he was 17 in 1998. I don’t know if our family can recover from this loss. My daughters have mental health issues. At this time, they won’t talk to me and it’s tearing me apart. I think when you are smelling cigarette smoke and other scents, it’s because there is the spirit of someone you know around you. After our son died, we were smelling roses for a long time, even in the winter when there weren’t any flowers around. He died in the fall. My son knew how much I loved roses. Still, to this day, my husband smells cigarette smoke when he’s working., but it doesn’t happen often. He’s alone in his truck when it happens. My son smoked, but my husband and I never have. Try to think if this could be why you are smelling different things out of no where. I would think that someone you love would be around you especially when you are in any kind of pain, mentally or physically. I think you’re are amazing for sharing your story. I admire you so very much. I’m SO happy for you and your children that you are healthy again. I believe that God intended you to do this for people, to educate the ignorant people and to get rid of the stigma of this illness. Too many people are cruel out of ignorance and the inability to feel compassion and empathy. I never knew that someone with this horrible virus could live a normal life. I too cry when I think about all the people that suffered so much as they were dying. But I believe their deaths were the reason so many kept working to find the right treatment so that others could live a normal life. Only their bodies died. Their spirit did not. I’ve always believed that each one of us is here to serve a purpose, that we all have a job to do. It was such a pleasure to meet you.❤️
Thank you so much for your story. My son also has HIV & I must admit it was a very traumatic time for him & myself. He is 46 & was diagnosed nearly 3 years ago. He is on medication & undetectable. His T cell count is still quite low but gradually increasing. Listening to your journey I realised test he had many if your symptoms & lost a lot if weight. He now looks as good as ever & life us good. Fingers crossed there is a cure in the not too distant future. Thanks again from Australia
Valerie Ross Hugs to both of you. Thank you for sharing. So many similar stories out there, it never ceases to amaze me. I'm very glad to hear he is doing well and that you are such an awesome support to him. We always need our mamas. ❤️
I was born in 1971....I was diagnosed with hiv in September 2022, but most likely had it unknowingly since 2016.. Like Jeniffer, I too had aids because of not using medication for over 6 years.. I am doing okay after 4 months on medication.. Hope your son is also doing fine...
I think it's wonderful that you're sharing your own personal experience with HIV...especially discussing the symptoms leading up to your diagnosis might help others to seek testing if they identify with some of these things they're experiencing themselves. I have to wonder though why you didn't include what were the "high-risk" behaviors of your former partner?? It's an important part of your HIV story, and since you weren't giving out any names there shouldn't be any harm in sharing what they were.
G'day Jennifer, I have just finished watching your videos and thank you so much for your strength & oourage. I have been diagnosed with cervical cancer and after two rounds of chemo, intense radiotherapy, brachiotherapy I hardly feel human anymore. Living with the side effects is something that is not common knowledge and something I am finding difficult to cope with, but the strength you have shown is something that has given me a little boost of positivity. I went from a young, vibrant & active 52 year old single mum, finding joy in everyday of my life, to an old, feeble, sedentary woman barely able to get through each day. I have had my whole life turned completely upside down and it is a struggle to get through each day. Thank you once again for sharing your journey and I am so happy that I stumbled across your videos. I wish you much happiness and continued good health.
Toni Jones So glad to hear from you. Your message brings tears to my eyes because I so understand going from normal and happy to super weak and having no idea what normal felt like anymore. I am so glad my videos gave you some comfort, makes me beyond happy that I did them. I don't know your prognosis or expected journey, but I hope more than ever that you will reach normality again. Hugs to you Toni. 😘
About that ex that gave her HIV. Dont let that guy off that easy. HE knew that he had been engaging in high risk behavior. Why didnt HE get himself tested before HE slept with her? I mean, right when he knew they were moving in that direction, go get tested. Make sure you havent done ANYTHING risky in at least 8 months to a year and get tested more than once. Any time ive started a relationship and i wasnt sure of my status, i go and get tested. It would absolutely murder my soul to know I gave someone something like this. I couldnt live with myself. Also, i request test results in writing from the doctor as to her status.
david mark lol jus wat the people want fear😱and panic💊💰when the whole time HIV/AIDS is a bigg ass LIE!! People haven’t done a bit of research at all jus believing wat they want you to believe smh even if you use just a bit of common sense you’ll see that the whole damn hypothesis don’t even make sense!💯...google house of numbers WISE UP!💯
Jennifer, you are amazing!! I think people love you because you’re honest and open and have a way of opening the eyes of those who aren’t aware! Seriously, you are wonderful! Thank you for sharing your story! 💜
Love from my first born on her 16th birthday. ❤️ We got through it, all of us. Thank you for being so strong for me when I was sick. So thankful life is back to normal again. Happy Birthday!! 😘
I randomly came across these videos you made. And I have got to say, you must have lifted thousands of spirits. You made me feel better and I don't have HIV. But it's been a scare before when I wasn't the most careful. Esp swollen glands in my neck, but that was my allergic reactions. But I listen to your videos because you are just a vibrant person and I've always been curious of the journey with someone who has that. movies about it and stuff interest me, as other diseases do. Maybe I could be a doctor. I don't know, but God has blessed you and your great heart
Juliet Del Nero Thank you so much, I totally giggled (in a good way) when you said I made you feel better and you don't even have HIV. I read that to my girls, they loved that. Feels so good to get such great feedback. I'm so glad you stumbled across my videos. 👍🏻☺️🌼
LOL you really did. I mean I've always been so sad for people with this disease and thought it had to be the worse. In my days where I should have been tested I was so scared because I didn't want to find out something I didn't want to hear, then finally I got the courage. But yes please keep us updated with your journey I have watched em all and love to hear you talk. Thanks for being you!
Not sure if you believe in a higher power, or reasons for everything, but you're an amazing woman. Your voice of reason, acceptance and strength is (and will be) a beacon of light for so many people to see. Fear, confusion, sorrow, agony... Will be transformed to hope.
Good things happen when you are kind and pure in spirit; you will persevere! You harbor no bitterness, and that alone will bring positive energy your way. It has worked so far. It's great that you found someone loving and understanding and is supportive of you. I send you my best wishes.
So true on harboring bitterness, it does no good. This is life, we must learn to accept all that we must face. It happened this way for a reason and I'm blessed that it did. Thank you Ruth for your wisdom and kind words. Jennifer
"I'm not dirty, I didn't do anything dirty. I was in love with someone who had a virus, and now I have it and have to live with this." This speaks volumes. This is why stigma shouldn't exist. I myself don't have HIV, but its both refreshing and eye opening to hear you speak about your experience with it. Your openness is helping educate and put an end to the stigma. You're really doing a great thing with these videos.
I think your videos should become educational material for schools, you are one brave woman and I respect you so much!!! Although I don't have HIV/AIDS, I am sure anyone that's sexually active, or have had sex in their lives before.. Probably all had the what if thoughts at some point. I got so paranoid and scared about getting STDs or AIDS that I choose to be absent from it. So glad you are teaching the public with your experience with it and knowledge is power!!! THANK YOU! HUGS!!!
Thank you again! Your videos have great value; not just for FB friends/family. They are educational, they humanize a disease and for some who are alone and living with HIV, they are a comfort surely. There are people who don't want to tell their family/friends of their diagnosis; feel it's a burden. I really liked what you said from 9:00 to about 9:30. I liked all of it, really. You are very courageous.
I am a scientist who is currently studying HIV. I really wanted to thank you for your videos. I am mainly taught about the complex biology of the virus and its replication and your videos have been very informative for me to learn about the human/emotional aspect of it and the fact that you're so honest and open really helps. I am also very pleased to see how much research you have done on the virus and how informed you are (it's such a complicated virus). I hope you can carry on with all your hard work.. you're such a great ambassador!
I have no idea how I stumbled across your first video, but I'm so glad I did. I never realized how little I knew about HIV until I watched your video, and I'm so glad you are out here sharing your story. I always thought HIV was one of the scariest diseases in the world, and my outlook has changed completely. It makes me sad that I was so misinformed about HIV/AIDS. Thank god for people like you!
“Being light” about your circumstances does not mean you’re not in the reality of what HIV is. To me, I see your demeanor as having a “positive attitude” and a “zest for life”... I don’t see you brushing this off as something simple. I admire your strength thru all of this and I am so thankful to know that we’ve come so far and are able to stop the stigma of HIV. Thank you for sharing your story, your courage, your strength and your knowledge. I’m certain you are touching many lives ♥️
My cousin is HIV positive. He was diagnosed before the miracle drugs were available. He has to walk with assistance now, due to his terrible neuropathy. But he is alive. I also had a really great friend, almost like a brother, who had AIDS. He passed away from something else. But we hated to see him go through the disease process. You are a very brave woman. I don’t know how I would tell people, either. I’m so relieved that you were given so much suppppet. I know that you must feel extremely blessed. Thanks for all of the great information.
Glade to hear you are practically undetectable and your viral load is going down. I wish you the best Jen and great video keep up the good work and stay healthy.
I’ve been sitting here wondering why your videos popped up in my feed.......I’m pretty sure it’s because I watched a video on Freddie Mercury. I’m so happy you’re doing so well. People should know that HIV is not a death sentence anymore. Thank you for educating people.
Sorry but I don’t believe that your Ex thought the clinic was going to tell you. HIV is so serious that you have to make sure anyone you might have exposed knows. Even if he wanted to avoid you he should have at least followed up with the clinic to confirm they notified you. Btw You seem like a really good person, good luck to you.
Yeah, he seems like a douche and probably didn't even tell them in the first place. Junkie's just always are selfish even if they stop using and manipulative
Right? I met my husband in 2006 and in about 2009 he was contacted by an ex of his that had tested positive and they told him he should be tested. Being that he was with me now, he told me about it. We were tested together and thank god we both tested negative.
You are fantastic - thank you so much for sharing! I don't know how your video came up in my feed but I've watched all three now. I'm glad you are sharing your story because more people need to hear that things will be okay, and be able to see that it CAN be okay. All the best to you
It's crazy that people who weren't even searching for my story are coming across it and it's having a positive affect. Thank you for making me aware of this, it's awesome news! I'm so glad you watched and got some helpful info! Yay!
Thank you for having the courage to share your story. You positively is so uplifting. An I believe that you are helping a lot of people ! You are Amazing!💕
excellent news... the stigma is so changed.. your down to 21.. life is good.. your educating those that watch your videos in such a comforting way.. and if you wanna be light about it then you be light.. i agree 100%... your a rad person jen...
You are a true warrior for being brave enough to share your story. I admire that. You got out there and spreaded the awareness instead of doing like some who spreaded virus. Please continue being strong and courageous.
I love your videos so much I watch them every time you post and this helps change the stigma about HIV, things happen in life and you just have to go with the flow and everything will be okay. You look great and it’s amazing that you have people in your life to support you! Love & positivity❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jennifer, just saw your personal story after watching your video on Chris Watts. Good luck to you & keep up your awesome positive attitude. Wishing you all the best. I cannot begin to relate to what you have gone through & like someone else said I am 100% abstinence only because there is only one person you can trust.
Watching your videos has made me realize just how misinformed I was about HIV. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I think it will help many others
Hi Jennifer. Thank you for sharing your experience and educating and helping others who may be just recently diagnosed. You obviously are an extremely bright and articulate woman with great optimism and attitude I wish you the best of health and an awesome future.
Jennifer it's good to be true to thy self.....taking things lightly is great....nothing wrong with that. Too be honest I took mines lightly in a positive direction because I'm grateful. Gratitude.....it plays a big part in this LIFE. There are people who are going through something more than we can imagine. LOVE YOU JEN!
You are such a STRONG, BEAUTIFUL PERSON. What you have been through and are going through makes my heart break. I’m so glad that you are doing well. You are brave and have a very good heart. Proud subscriber to your channel now! Your a inspiration sweetie. You take care and God bless you.
Did the swollen lymph node cause any pain/ discomfort. And how long was the duration of it? And I believe you when you say straight men worry the most. As I’m one of them.
jennifer - I love your positivness and your strength - I had a scare myself last year and you are really opening up my eyes and educating me - thank you - much love :))
it's always nice to have a friend to talk to when your getting ready for the blood work hope to here from you Jennifer Vaughn ..just watching your videos has brought the anxiety level down to a close to a manager level ...I hope your boyfriends results turn out fine .. because 2 positives can be dangerous if precautions aren't being taking .. because one could have a higher viral load even if they've had it a short another of time they can still make their partner as sick as they are in a 1/3rd of the time ..
You are truly amazing Jen! I'm sooo proud of you and your courage to share your story with others. ❤️ Does everyone know that you were also shot in a bank robbery?!?!
Stay strong Jennifer. You are courageous beyond words and define the essence of an optimist. I hope you continue to inspire others living with HIV with more videos. Blessings and peace to you.
I have chosen to be celibate for the past 2 years and I don’t regret it. Definitely not worth it, especially where I am. It’s Michigan and it’s like no one even heard of condoms. 🤦🏼♂️
Summer Sea Three so dumb I guarantee you will have sex at some point. Sex is risky period just try to minimize your exposure don’t say your just throwing your hands up that’s the dumbest thing you can do. This woman is brave and an inspiration.
You are awesome- thanks for sharing all your journey. I'm HIV negative but I'm a 20+ year i.v. drug user so the reality of getting it was always and still possibly was real (although I now no longer share works like I did for the first 20 years). Anyways- your beautiful, your intelligent and you are easy to listen to- I enjoy your videos. #END THE STIGMA♥️ Be Well!
Thanks for sharing your story, and helping everyone to better understand the important topics of HIV. You are a beautiful person inside and out, and I am so happy for you, that you have children, a supportive significant one, family and friends. That is a blessing, and very important. I’m so proud of you for enjoying the gift of life, and not allowing HIV to take over your life. Hugs and wish you the best. God Bless
RIP my uncle. He had it in the 80's and volunteered to be used to test medication so you can be alive today. He did pass away within 10 years of having it. He would be so happy that you got through it and doing so much better. Stay strong! -Jen
Beyond grateful for those that suffered and put themselves out there to help further medical advances and give people like me the ability to live today. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. God Bless your uncle. xoxo
babey don't cry, I LOVE YOU, U ARE AN INSPIRATION TO ME, thank you for sharing your story with us,I jus want to be best friends with you and be there for you xxx
just like this lady we r ALL on a healing journey. we all have some challenges that conspire to limit what we can become and prevent us from letting go and enjoying a fulfilling productive life and THAT to me r the broken places where we HEAL. good job 2 Jennifer Vaughan. yr healing journey is powerful and i hope 2 meet my own challenges bravely and boldly as you faced yrs.
ive watched your video Jennifer and I think you're a wonderful and courageous woman as well as strong. And its ok to cry. sometimes we need to cry as it can be therapeutic. You keep on keeping on lovely woman
You are awesome, and blessed. You will do great things, and live an amazing life!!! I enjoy your videos, and I apologize for always leaving little health recommendations. Please keep making videos, and continue to educate the masses!!!
I just wanted to add some information in regard to your heart rate and fever. For every 1 degree increase in body temperature (over your normal) your heart rate will increase by 10bpm. For instance if your normal body temp was 98.6 °F and normal resting heart rate was 82bpm and you spiked a fever of 103.6° F, then your new heart rate would be around 132bpm. As long as the rate is just fast and there is no arrhythmia its sinus tachycardia secondary to fever and will be alleviated when the fever is treated. Hope this helps :)
Has your boyfriend been tested again? I heard sometimes it doesn't show up on the test and you should retest 6 months after the first one.. I pray you continue to feel great! You're such an awesome person thanks for sharing your story
coco chanel He will probably test again, but he's had no symptoms at all. If he would have contracted when I was most contagious and sick, he would have had some kind of symptom by now.
She’s become undetectable at this point so she can now not pass it on regardless... she was diagnosed in early 2017... I’m sure by this point her boyfriend is out of the danger zone as far as getting tested and then getting another test(s) up to three months after any possible exposures..that and I’m sure her and her bf are very on top of that aspect
Jennifer may God Bless You. Thank you for putting out your info. It was so curious of you. I love the way you feel & choose not to let it take you down. God Bless you 🙏 🐶
Same thing happened to Eazy E Eric Wright. He probably acquired the disease in 93 or 94 and was showing symptoms in summer of 94 and of course passed away in early 95. The filmmakers made the disease look pretty scary towards the end of the film, but of course he'd be alive had they had the same medical technology as today. I'm very happy for you that you're healthy and able to educate people about the disease and I'm especially happy for your children that they have their awesome momma around.
Uhmm, the disease WAS VERY VERY scary in Easy E's time. And in some case now it IS still very scary. Take what Jen is saying with a big grain of salt. This is HER story.
You are very strong and dealing with this horrible disease in stride. It is horrible because although Aids is manageable in North America with access to medicine and health insurance, it is a death sentence in places such as Africa, India and Thailand. Couldn't imagine a better person for this to happen to.
You've motivated me to get tested. I'm in a open relationship with a bisexual guy who has been with other men. Protection use not perfect. Thank you xx
+Ankit Shah Condoms are nearly 100% effective 👍🏻
You have no idea how happy this comment makes me. Thank you so much for sharing!
I would think it would be very important, a nurse would be informative to someone with this virus.
How can i talk to you asap
+Hey There Go to my FB link on my channel's main page and send me a message from there. 👍🏻
+Jennifer Vaughan ok....thanks
Same thing, clicked her page due to comment on queen video
How can you know you don't know anyone who has it????
The only thing worth while telling them is to be on PREP if they are going to have sex with people and test every 6 months. Have your long term partners tested very 6 months together so you can see whats the reality.
sd8c prep??🤦🏽♂️you people our sheeps WISE UP!!💯
Dear Jenn, people watch your video because AIDS awareness is actually out there. We subscribe because you give truthful and detailed information as well as coming off very genuine. You are classy and you are very informative. You inform as you learn and thus teach many of us whom may have information that we were unaware of. Most importantly, we now want to see you get better :) stay healthy and keep doing what you're doing!
I love the courage of this woman - Amazing video - You will likely get more subscribers
So thank you for doing this , thank you helping so many people out there !
people do lie even the ones you trust so trust no one even if you love them.
TraFra 37 Thank you, I appreciate your kindness. No deserves to be treated badly.
Yeppers I agree don’t sleep around with ppl
It was such a pleasure to meet you.❤️
She’s so strong I would’ve been so depressed it’s so sad
I love that you’re educating so many people. You make it so “easy” for us to relate, it’s a virus.
Hope your son is also doing fine...
i didnt expect to fallowing u.. but im so happy.. man i wish i had that courage.. and f.y.i.. tears are cleaning for the soul..
Thank you for sharing! Your positivity and outlook are so refreshing.
Thank you So much Demi! 😘

You are beautiful inside and out don't let anyone bring you down
G'day Jennifer, I have just finished watching your videos and thank you so much for your strength & oourage.
We all have an expiration date...we don't know when. It's what we do with the in between time. Good on you for living life.
People haven’t done a bit of research at all jus believing wat they want you to believe smh even if you use just a bit of common sense you’ll see that the whole damn hypothesis don’t even make sense!💯...google house of numbers WISE UP!💯
@@ohsoyouthinkyoucandance I wouldn't go as far as calling her a liar. Low self esteem and extreme people pleasing can cause the same sort of scenario.
Jennifer, you are amazing!! I think people love you because you’re honest and open and have a way of opening the eyes of those who aren’t aware! Seriously, you are wonderful! Thank you for sharing your story! 💜
You're amazing! It makes me so happy to see how far you've come :)

You are Awesome , You make me realise we should be always Positive and Strong all-time . Thanq Jenni :)
We do love hearing from you! HIV can happen to anymone and we should be ready to fight this disease or help a loved one go through the tough road.
I don't know how I found your channel but I'm so glad I did. You are very relatable and that is a strength and blessing.
Keep on truckin', Jennifer. 😘
Jennifer
Thank you for thanking me. May God bless you and keep you each and every day!
Cry in the Dark 🙏🏼
you are so inspiring because instead of feeling sorry for yourself you decided to use educate us about HIV
may god bless you
"I'm not dirty, I didn't do anything dirty.
I used your comment in my Instagram story. Thank you. :)
@@Pozleigh aw really! That's so cool. Thanks for being so inspiring
Came across your channel randomly. I think you are extremely courageous by sharing your story. I wish you all the best.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. I will keep doing what I can until there is a cure. :)
I love that you are spreading positivity with your journey! ❤️ thank you!!
Thank you for making part 2. Another informative video and another thumbs up.
God 👏🏻bless you Jennifer you are very brave
I was really lucky, I paid no attention to aids in my active years . I’m shocked I didn’t get it
My cousin is HIV positive.
I wish you the best Jen and great video

I’ve been sitting here wondering why your videos popped up in my feed.......I’m pretty sure it’s because I watched a video on Freddie Mercury. I’m so happy you’re doing so well. People should know that HIV is not a death sentence anymore. Thank you for educating people.

theres a guy up here in Vancouver who has been pos since 1981 and I believe he is still alive. I wont say his name but his last name starts with a.
I also believe he didn’t give the clinic her information. I think he didn’t want to tell her and that was his excuse.
In Europe, the clinic will only contact the person who got tested positive. No call backs to Hiv- people, let alone the partners of the Hiv+
love hate Why do you assume he was a junkie? Perhaps he was bi-sexual? That would also be considered high risk

I am choosing abstinence. Not worth it.
+Summer Sea Three That’s definitely a choice, but what happened to me is not typical for hetero women, I just decided to be public.
Good choice Summer Sea Three. There is nothing wrong with being celebate or abstaining
Good choice. I feel STDs were made in the laboratory by the government for population control.
Be as light about it as you can be :-)
You are awesome- thanks for sharing all your journey. I'm HIV negative but I'm a 20+ year i.v. drug user so the reality of getting it was always and still possibly was real (although I now no longer share works like I did for the first 20 years). stay strong!! love you bunches
Your Brave soul, and it takes alot of courage to talk about getting hiv,God bless your Journey and bless you for educating other😘
I love the glasses and hat:)
Your a sweetie. I'am glad things are looking better for you.
That's an old video, but I'm still very well. :)
How soon did you start getting your symptoms?
Has your boyfriend been tested again? I heard sometimes it doesn't show up on the test and you should retest 6 months after the first one.. I pray you continue to feel great! You're such an awesome person thanks for sharing your story
coco chanel He will probably test again, but he's had no symptoms at all. If he would have contracted when I was most contagious and sick, he would have had some kind of symptom by now.
oh okay good :)
Jennifer Vaughan some don’t have any symptoms until late I have read it can take more than three years to realize .
He has to test after 2 months it’s Enough time for the virus to develop and be detected don’t wait for symptoms cause it can be silent
God Bless you 🙏 🐶
Bless you , you're so strong
Sara Allison, you must be a kind being 💓🤙
Same thing happened to Eazy E Eric Wright.
UA-cam randomly showed me your video...thank you for sharing you story!
You are very strong and dealing with this horrible disease in stride. It is horrible because although Aids is manageable in North America with access to medicine and health insurance, it is a death sentence in places such as Africa, India and Thailand. Couldn't imagine a better person for this to happen to.
garald tao...not a death sentence in india in 2023...free medicines and tests available here...what you're saying is possibly true some years before..
You've motivated me to get tested. I'm in a open relationship with a bisexual guy who has been with other men. Protection use not perfect. Thank you xx
You are smart to test. That's high risk, I'm not going to lie. Good girl. :)
miss toots were you negative?
