One day in the plastic surgeons office I saw a littlr boy burnt over 90 percent of his body he father put him in a car covered him in gas and set him on fire to get revenge on the mother. I have had 4th degree burns...I know how painful they are the donor sites are for grafts and this little boy was laughing, playing, adored his mom. From that moment on I asked "why NOT me?" nstead of "why me?". It really helped me when I eventually lost my leg. Saved my life.
It really is. Almost dying as a child. Dealing with this disease for life. And the horrendous knowledge that his own parent did this. Everyone deserves 2 parents that love them. Even if said parent struggles greatly.

Just a reminder that everyones struggles are valid. Whether you are being held captive, starving in a 3rd world country, homeless, have a flat tire, a broken phone, or were injected with HIV - your struggles are your struggles and they are hard for you. I've lived a long time comparing my struggles to others because I've suffered with a lot of trauma and mental illness and have been told that it's not as bad as starving or being homeless, etc... When the truth is, if it is bad to you, then it is bad. Don't ever feel the need to downplay your struggles or put them aside because someone else has it worse than you. Someone will always have it worse and someone will always have it better.

Otherwise the family courts make the birth father pay child support. Men have no options when it comes to these decisions. Women can have an abortion to keep from the burden of an unwanted child. Men have no options, they are just told you pay up.
