The younger head for Jason Wyngarde, aka Mastermind, is the illussion he projected into Jean's mind to get her to fall in love with him, control her and get her to join the Hellfire Club during the Dark Phoenix saga. Btw, I'm surprised you didn't mention Cyber's feet since they're the same ones from the classic Colossus that you ragged on two years ago.
If i mention everything wrong with every figure the videos would be hours long. Since his whole lower body is bad, the feet don't make much difference.
@@AnthonysCustoms Anthony you say that like it's a negative lol I for one wouldn't mind an hours long review. I always enjoy your content and insight but I realize you do have things to do lol

Hi, Anthony, if I'm interested in designing my own line of figures, where would you recommend I start? I appreciate any insight you're willing to provide
Most anticipated figure for me, was Cyber. He and Omega Red were the only 2 i wanted. They definitely dropped the ball with Cyber though- as he shouldve been a BAF. Hes waaay to small in my opinion. All these years of waiting. We FINALLY get him- and its in a lame box set. He shouldve been bigger like the monster Venom baf. Anyways- hes still one of my favorite wolverine foes- so i had to have him. Totally agree about omega red. I already had the one- but the white parts on this one were more accurate to me- so i needed him. Love how he looks. Definitely one of the better marvel lengends figures out.
You are spot spot on with your most/least excited picks. Omega Red most, Jason least. I don't have any of these characters except Wolverine so I want the pack but I'm hoping for a sale before I buy.
I was able to finally pick up the Sauron Omega Red shortly before this was announced. At first I was a little bummed...I needed the Sauron BAF piece to finish him, so it wouldn't have been a total loss, but I think I'm happy with that one. I painted the omega on his forehead which helps. All that said, I'd be curious how the head from that one looks on this body. Are the reds too different that it stands out a bunch? I prefer the paint scheme on that face to this one by quite a bit.
I really like your videos, but I must say that every time I'm willing to buy a Marvel Legends X-Men, I always come here to watch a review and discourage myself. Still one of the best marvel legends reviewers on youtube.
Ironically I was the most hyped for Mastermind/Jason Wyngarde, ever since Sorrell revealed its existence a few months ago. Also, the brown-haired bearded head for Jason is a telepathic projection of his face to Jean Grey during the Dark Phoenix Saga to mask his true face. She manages to snap out of it and see Jason's real face before making him comatose and becoming more villainous.
Glad someone else explained it. I mean, just watching/re-watching clips of the cartoon's dark phoenix saga would give him the answer, but I guess... life... priorities... blah blah blah.
The Cyber in this set does seem small...but I'm not sure if Caliban body is the way to go though. In some art, he is depicted in that size...so maybe. I think a solo release would allow for more accessories like alternate heads. Cyber usually has a scary grin and the figure is too normal. Cyber should have 3 heads at least: angry, neutral, and grin.
@@mistermastermind528 I always see him as he was in the early wolverine comics..yeah that art was wonky but he was also that size fighting x factor..he was about strong guy size just more proportional...sorta. that's why I say a modified caliban..its got that more thick upper torso...maybe a little tall?? Yeah more heads and some fist and chopping hands with the spikes out. Heh..I tried to put the baf colossus arms on him and destroyed it..
@@mistermastermind528 I think the aoa colossus would be awesome if it was a little shorter. Even not being shorter it would look great. I can probably make a custom peg to make the clearance for the AoA arms and just repair and repaint the chest with apoxy sculpt...but I just bought another cyber...might still do the custom if I get the motivation
So funny buying this 5pack, I customized my own battle damage wolverine and CYBER a while back, so I really only got this for the other 3, and they are like ehh, yet I'm still glad I did, but I've been just sitting on them because I already know what I'm getting, so I'm waiting to get my AOA wave to open them all with my son and really just enjoy some action figures regardless of the character
The Cyber figure should have been given the Caliban body. The Cyber head and the feet are new. Give that Caliban body the head, feet and new more jacked chrome arms and it would look sick!
I didn't need any more Wolverine figures so I head swapped mine, only one hand has claws, call him Wolfheart, still another Evil Wolverine son, and I get 5 villains out of this. I have 3 Marvel Earth's and 6 Wolverine's already. But 1 is original Secret Wars LOL, probably need to get rid of that one, and I can throw 1 in Exiles so that cuts it down a bit.
I absolutely hate Hasbro for doing this, they want me to buy 3 characters I don't want so I can get 2 characters I do and they want everyone to buy 2 already released characters to be able to get 3 never released ones. This is a 5 pack of repainted old body molds with 7 new heads, four are direct repaints with new heads and one is a kit bash with a new head and a retooled pair of hands. I really like Callisto and I love Cyber (the action figures could be better but I love the characters) but I'm not going to pay 175USD for two Marvel Legends and that is what it would cost me to import this pack directly from Amazon UK. Thanks for the review Anthony.
Jason Wyngarde - the black haired look is his real appearance, the brown haired look is how he mentally projects himself in the eyes of others, in other words, how he wants other people to see him, part of his mutant power is to influence peoples perception. Ironic because like you Anthony I also couldn’t care less about him 😆
I guess I'm alone in buying the 5pk for Cyber lol. The thing is, he was the villain in the first Marvel comic I read (a Wolverine comic, of course). MY only disappointment, really, was no interchangeable hands. Omega Red was my second favorite, the colors were better and I actually liked the pearly color of the tech around the mouth. I know THAT isn't accurate, but I thought, with silver, it looked too much like some kind of extreme retro teeth braces... which isn't a shot at people with braces, I had braces once, myself lol My 3rd was Callisto. Mine had nicely tight joints, slight gummy knees, but otherwise solid. Mastermind (Jason Wyngarde) is an illusionist. The "handome" face was the image he portrayed with his illusion powers when he brainwashed Jean Grey in a story involving the Hellfire Club... I think. Shirtless Wolverine? Custom fodder. Thinking about turning him into the "Albert" cyborg if I ever try making a custom.
The ugly face is Mastermind, the alternate head is Jason Wyngard...who he made himself look like, while wooing jean grey to become the black queen...and inadvertently releasing the Phoenix Force. Classic Claremont era x-men figure.
