It's why i stick to watching his videos. Even if i don't give a shit about the figure itself lol. I know that when something that interests me pops up, his opinion will be a reliable one.
As someone who had to study anatomy and physiology to an extreme degree..I can confirm that Anthony knows his stuff and what he's talking about when it comes to anatomy. Yes people are built different..trust me I know. But in general..what he says is right when discussing it on figures.
The head SCULPT is actually really accurate, the paint job doesn’t do it enough justice. Don’t get me wrong, it looks amazing but I saw a repaint and it brings out the sculpt and it looks super accurate.
Quality does not always mean accuracy. You’re comparison to hot Toys is completely valid. Hot toys might look more realistic, but I agree that this looks more like Hugh Jackman.
I asked my wife to order this figure for me as soon as i saw it. According to your review he's a keeper and an excellent representation of the movie. Many thanks for sharing your treasure and your thoughts. Your reviews are usually very interesting even if sometimes the rant comes across a little bit negative to some. But your honesty is what I want so that's what I get.
My wife bought me this fig for Xmas and I've been gushing over it ever since I took him outta the box. I've since watched several reviews on it and none can match the detail and critical praise you've given it. 👍👍
Awesome figure and review! People Who follows you know that you don't base your review on positive or negative mood, you give an explanation for every pro and every cons. Other youtubers' reviews are just like, this is mafex Wolverine, and it's super cool because it's Wolverine and it's expensive. A figure this expensive can't be trash, right?
I am not going to lie there are some collectors, "artists", who claim that there is nothing wrong with the" Hyperion" body mold, a reviewer made a wolverine venom on that mold, the head was sitting way too high, the guy even claims that making a venom based on the "Omega Red" body mold is not possible. I'm sorry but the guy is annoying in my book, if you can't handle correct proportions then you're not a good artist. How does this have anything to do with this review, well out of the old, in with the new. As always excellent review Anthony! I don't know why you have 14 dislikes on this video, probably 14 haters who cannot handle the truth.
@@JacM78 yeah I really wonder why they call that shirt a "wife beater". I'm not from the US so I don't have the context. Regarding the figure, I'll pick this one up and commission a jacket for it
Great review Anthony. Definitely a must grab figure. I'm glad you mentioned the celebration around pinless joints, lol. Don't get me wrong they are cool but I would much rather they put their extra effort and focus towards improving articulation. As long as the pegs don't jut out from the joint, I have no issue with them showing. But some of the articulation shortcomings are head-scratching. How can it go thru all the development it does and these things still come happen (feet, neck, hips)?
I never buy the movie-based figures, but Anthony sold this one so well that I had to get it. I got mine today and good gravy, it is just that good. It's fantastic. Hasbro did a really good job with this figure. They outdid themselves I think the top 10 list for best Marvel Legends of 2020 is going to be pretty interesting
as a physical therapist i will vouch for you saying you know average ideal human anatomy more than most people .... yes each person have different built but generally speaking there is a general ideal human being anatomy that we follow in books. For example, myself which have longer arms compared to average people of my height.
Wow! Yup, ab crunch and butterfly joints actually LOOK GOOD here and give great range! Thighs are a bit gappy but overall aesthetically he's brilliant! Claws and pin-less arms very nice too.
This is the Wolverine figure I've been waiting for for years. I'm so glad I didn't break down and spend stupid amounts of money on the Marvel Select figure from The Wolverine. I like a lot of comic Wolverine designs, but figures based on them are usually either too short for my mostly 7 inch collection, or just way too exaggerated. Hasbro has really stepped up their game with their Marvel Legends in the last two or so years. I used to disregard them entirely, but they're putting out really good pieces for the money. I'm gonna buy a few of these and use them for customs. I'd love to see a classic blue and yellow Wolverine with this anatomy. I also appreciate that this is more of an amalgamation Wolverine figure than a purely X1 figure. His hair and physique read more like Days of Future Past, and he has boneclaws, which I don't think even made any kind of appearance until X-Men Origins. Makes it feel less like it's a figure just for one move and more of an overall representation of the character, which I like.
A nice life like action figure of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. I have a Funko Pop! of Wolverine wearing a white vest (I chose that one because of *Logan*).
Great review, got this guy about a week ago, and can't stop posing him, I do wonder how the pin less arms affect you as a customizer, as in, is it still possible to take the arms apart, and did it make it more of a pain in the butt?
Great review, man. Just out of curiosity, but would you treat this similar to the MCU figures you get- something to review and then sell off? Like would you make particular exceptions on particular franchises or characters?
Great anatomy, this should be the base design for future Marvel Legend figures, just redesign the trousers into natural legs and remove the clothing details and it can be reused.
Looks great, makes me wanna wish for them to do movie Sabertooth just to pair them both. Regardless,it’s impressive what they can do when they give a shit.

Not sure if anyone in the comments already asked this, but was wondering how one could modify this figure to be able to place it in the running hunched pose looking straight up like in the movie?
Damn at first glance this looked like a figuarts or something, that’s a damn good marvel legends, would look awesome with some extra finish on the arms.

There's no excuse. Hasbro can release good looking figures like this one, they just don't want to. Also, these hands work for the Old Man Logan, Weapon X and civil clothes Wolvies figures, they just look a bit small, but you can use them. Have fun with your figs, guys!
I don't normally bother with Legends and originally passed on this, but fuck it, after watching this I'm in! As always a great review and definitely keep up the engineering explanations, as after watching so many of your reviews, even I could tell at first glance that the proportions looked good 👏🙌

I find it weird that they're able to make the G.I Joe figures have full split in the legs, but not ML. I would love to see ML have the same kind of engineering
I think the best things about this guy is the hair, the claws, and the matte paint for the skin tone. Too many Hasbro figures have nearly glossy skin like sweating profusely or are made of...plastic. the matte deco is easy to do to my knowledge and for me it makes a figure look 100x nicer. And yeah the proportions are beautiful; The arms especially. As an artist I can appreciate creative liberties in human anatomy but Hasbro's comic figures aren't "stylized" unless that stylization is Frankenstein bodies.
