@@lysergdiethel7528 You have to be on 9.00 firmware or lower, then you enable GoldHEN on the console. After that, convert the Silent Hill PS2 ISOs to PS2 Classics PKGs and copy them to the console through USB. Btw, you'll have to use the PAL versions of SH2 and SH3 because NTSC is buggy on PS4.
He’s already made a video, you jailbreak through the browser, use a custom firmware and use a program called multiman which copies the disc to the hard drive and you run them that way.

I also have one and I was awesome until it yellow lighted on me 😞, now I have a slim but the hdmi is broken so video quality is not that great cuz I use component.

You could rip a copy of the PS2 disc into a fresh ISO file and then convert to package files. Might be worth a shot. I've done it myself with bad ISO game files.
I updated my PS4 without meaning to and now I'm stuck waiting for a new jailbreak for it to do and honestly at this point I doubt it'll be jailbreak-able (no clue if that made sense)

I'm still waiting to play my PlayStation 2 games via the discs. I have a lot of physical copies.
For original discs your best options a backwards compatible PS3, it'll play them in HD but they're pretty expensive nowadays

The jail break has to be activated every time you log in so you're fine, just dont use rhe jailbreak while trying to play online
