I like how we get both. The shorts are quick and give us a snippet of their life, needs and interactions. Whereas, the videos give us a much broader view although they are posted later. It also keeps these individuals from fading from our minds.

I watched the shorts because it was all that was put up.. since he did what many of us asked him and started making longer videos, I prefer these.. I'm interested in hearing more of the story.. there's often a wealth of knowledge and information that these people have gotten from living homeless
1st. she said it's the infamous Knate. 😀 2nd, in the room, when you said, one more thing ..her face changed to fear. waiting for the other shoe to drop. then you said a hug or a handshake, her body relaxed, beautiful smile came back.
I cringed at the thought of the cruelty this beautiful person experienced to recoil in fear and apprehension at the thought she might have trusted the wrong person.
She feared that she would have to actually work for it and that it wasn't free she was about to come up with a ton of excuses why she can't work is all

I used to be homeless... So I know exactly what it's like. I lived on streets, in a shelter, and finally in a tent away from town and in the woods. I look back where I once was and where I am now and I'm grateful for those experiences I went through. It made me a stronger person for sure.

@@415_Stand-up yes I was. With my husband... He died January 9th,2018. We were living in Ashland Oregon. We had been there since June 1st, 2015.
When he died... The community we were in rallied around me, got me a room for a week, gave me several hundred dollars and a friend of mine in Portland Oregon offered me to come live with her and get a job and get back in my feet... And that's EXACTLY WHAT I DID. It's been 6 years and I am back in my childhood hometown, working a job, renting my own apartment, have a good car, and I see my daughter and 3 grandkids all the time!
All a person needs is 1 person to believe in them, and give them an opportunity to prove themselves.

I was homeless before and a kind woman helped me out. I never forgot her face. Years later, I saw her out on the street, homeless. I had since found a job and doing pretty well for myself. I was so happy that I could return the favor to her. Knate's the same type of person that helped me out.

I know things can turn on a dime for so many and they find themselves homeless overnight. Thank the Lord that's never happened to me, but I have total sympathy for those it has happened to - especially with children. I can't even imagine. I pray for those on the streets and for people like you, Knate, who take the time to help. Thank you so much!!

@45-Standup. Homeless women are often assaulted or trafficked. Being in a hotel room could be quite frightening. And just so you know thousands of homeless people are employed, as well as full-time students. Lack of affordable housing in the US is a life-threatening problem.
@paulaheady8990 all homeless are employed some drug addicts are employed HUGE DIFFERENCE

@@agffans5725 maybe but it's prepared food and it's at least three meals for each of them. So that's like $10 apiece per meal, not that crazy.

Keeping the last bits of your dignity, while being filmed at your lowest , taking charity from a stranger, after years of being treated like dirty by everyone, it's a normal response. They have built themselves the thickest skin to be able to deal with life. Don't forget, daily ppl come to them and trick them into thinking they will give them food or help , just for prank videos. It's a hard world. Don't blame them ❤️

I love how empathetic you are and how you talk to them and listen to them just as you would anyone. The homeless are unfortunately all too often invisible. I also almost ended up homeless on the streets, I have a chronic autoimmune disease, but I was able to find work that I could do from home in the nick of time with a wonderful inspiring beautiful woman. Unfortunately Covid and traumatic moves set me back a lot, but for the past year and a half I have been fighting hard to fully heal and will make my way back to normal. I love what you do and will always support you and your channel.

I’ve been dealing with chronic fatigue syndrome for 30+ years now. More than once I’ve been about as close to being homeless as possible without actually sleeping on the streets or in my car. For over a decade now I’ve lived with my sister, in her house. It’s sad that so many people don’t understand how easy it is for someone to end up homeless, even when they’ve tried their best to be responsible and self sufficient.
I pray that the Lord will guide, protect, and heal you. Stay strong.

I wish there was an easier way of sorting out the homeless that truly want to change their lives for the better and the people who need more help like rehab, sometimes those people don't even want the help. I love what you do tho, it's a blessing for you to walk up and meet these people. I wish I can be a similar influence to others someday, whether that's the homeless or just people in general.

I think you are doing genuinly good things for them. You ask them if it is OK to talk with them, how things are, what they want. Not like other youtubers who burst into homeless people's personal spheres and doing "good things to inspire others", but in fact they are doing that for themselves. You really talk with them. I admire your decency.

I wish we had people like this where I'm at. Our homeless are looked down on and they get zero help most of the time. I live in the " downtown" area and do offer showers and food when I can but that's a dangerous game to play. God bless bro, keep up the good work.
