I'm a police officer in WA and I've been called to 5 people who froze to death. Heartbreaking. Absolutely ZERO excuse. Maybe we take some of the money spent keeping non-violent people serving mandatory sentences in prison and give people in need 3 meals a day and a room with a bed and bathroom etc.

Here in the UK, a well-known TV presenter called Carol Voderman, known for being a great mathematician, made a video telling the people of 'great' Britain that the UK government 'lost' 21 billion last year (2023) and the year before (2022) 'lost' 19 billion....
They've also just been outed as giving the PPE contracts during Covid to a Baron friend of theirs worth millions, whose PPE wasn't used as it was a fashion house company.. Usual Nurse PPE was priced at £6.99 each. These 'fashion' PPE uniforms were priced at £8.99 and totally unusable. The bill ran into the millions of taxpayers' money.
Also the government spent 37 million on a track n trace app that their pals owned.. so no doubt got back handers on all this... the app was useless and were still paying for it..
The government’s worldwide are scamming people left, right and centre..
All the 'lost' billions and all the dodgy deals would of made every family in the UK a millionaire. Now that's something t9 think about
The sooner we get these fraudsters out of power, the better - you must know a few trustworthy people who could come together as a transparent new system, where the people get to vote on every penny or cent that we pay...
It's not hard to do in this day and age -

Meanwhile in Canada the police are tearing down homeless encampments and destroying what little people have, as fast as they can.
How awful and disgusting. What happened to our country?

I like Bobby Peppers. I love them all to be honest. Damn Knate. I was a social worker for 23 years. I loved my job. I hung out with the best people. They had the least and would give you everything they had if you needed it. God lives with the poor and destitute.

My heart goes out to the homeless. I used to drive Yellow Cab Houston and was able to help people more. Now I am 69 and disabled. I pray for you daily. Unfortunately I don't have the means to help much financially, but, will do what I can. God bless you in everything you do.

In San Diego two gals for their college dissertation created lockers from shipping containers. It turned out to be a real game changer! People on the street had a safe place to store their stuff while going to work or on job interviews! So simple and yet made such a huge difference.
What a great idea. That's one thing that keeps some from getting jobs, that their belongings will be stolen
I live in Atlanta and that Bobby Peppers is a typical Georgia country boy. He'll talk your ear off if you let him. Glad to hear he was able to get a job and get off the streets.

Not easy, wearing the same Boots on all day long and then going to sleep with them on,
just to keep your feet from getting wet and freezing on those Concrete Floors Outdoors.
I just got an idea. You should get them gym memberships and laundromat vouchers so they can always shower and clean their clothes to look for work and be more sanitary. Also, gyms/laundromats are warm.
I thought about that and checked with a few gyms and they require ID and a credit card. I have finally found 2 laundrymats I can by cards for.
@@JustKnateHi Knate, ever tried talking to the Goodwill about vouchers for the homeless. They have affordable, gently used jeans and other clothing they can use. Love your support !
@@JustKnatethat's great. It would be so helpful if cities would provide homeless people a place with (large!) lockers where they can wash their clothes and have a shower in peace.
Without any religious/political strings attached, without forcing them to leave their belongings out to be stolen while they just getting the basic hygiene once in a while we non-homeless have easy access to 24/7.
Cards will be sold.
A non-profit could have a mobile shower bus.
The name Bobby Peppers just makes me want to meet the guy.

It has been because of you I have been putting together the same type of backpacks and going around and handing them out along with sleeping bags that I can get ahold of and blankets and such and any type of perishables that I can get my hands on that I save for folks like this going around to churches and getting donations for things of this nature. And it all started with you, when I started watching you! THANK YOU NATE!💞💞💞🙌🙌

Good ol southern boy Bobby! Prayers they are all still hanging in there. My mom's cousin was on the streets and would come to the house every now and then for a shower and hot meal. But he always wanted to go back down to where he stayed even if offered to stay with us. That drink had him bad, but he was one heck of a guy. Cousin Glen was hit by a car on the highway, and we were called to make decisions for him. He lost a good part of his brain and didn't talk well but I'll always remember walking into the hospital room, and he lit up like a Christmas tree with happiness and smiled so big. He began to cry and say I love you and laugh. The nurse said she had not heard him say a word till then. He lived for three months in that hospital and passed away. But momma had him placed between his momma and daddy in the hills of Arkansas. It was me, momma and my aunt at his service but I knew it was enough because he was home and I could hear him laughing saying, I love you!!

I cannot explain HOW cold, down to your core cold, getting your feet cold will KEEP you cold for an unimaginable amount of time! It makes your whole body cold! The feet are so important to keep warm! Anytime it snows I always feel so sad thinking about the people who are having to live out in it 😢 It could happen to any of us, we are barely surviving here. We are one bad situation from it happening. I thank god every day I have a roof over my head right now,

Hey Knate! Love, love, love this stuff! I had a chance to lend a hand to some folks experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC last year when it was super cold out… one interesting thing we discovered is that Ice Fishing tents (aka an “ice shanty”) are unbelievably amazing shelters for people experiencing homelessness. They’re not super easy to transport and they almost never include a “floor” but they’re usually tall enough to stand up in and they provide unbelievably effective refuge from winter weather. They also tend to be large enough to comfortably allow a few people to hang out inside. Pair that with a Mr. Heater potable propane space heater (…& a battery Carbon Monoxide detector, if at all possible) and it’s a life-sustaining place of real “indoor” refuge for people who otherwise have no access to that.
There’s so much love in what you’re doing, Knate. I comment here to support your goals, not at all to suggest you’re not doing enough! You are amazing.
My only other mention… would love to see more of YOU, Knate, in the videos!

Oh my goodness, you are amazing. I've been doing this in my local city for a few years and I have met so many wonderful people. I love to help the folks in need become self sufficient. My local home improvement store donated 5 gallon buckets so I was able to make (with the help of some fanoodles and plungers) toilets and washing machines! Sometimes it's just the basic necessities that make such a difference. It is very humbling. Thanks for being you!

I live in toronto canada and it gets so cold here i truly am amazed our homeless survive some winters. We do have a lot of shelters and programs but the ones with sever mental disorders or addictions dont seek the help. Humans really are survivors not matter the circumstance.

I wish there were people like you around here I'm not homeless but I struggle being a single grandma raising my granddaughter. Being on disability with a fixed the income is hard. I love what you do for people. God bless you man

When I lived in Edmonton, AB, Canada more than a decade ago, there were a couple charities that had a couple different buses that went out at night to hand out hot beverages, food, and a place to warm up, give rides to a safe place. It gets to -40c here so it's important to watch out for each other.

Oh wow Knate, as someone facing potential homelessness in Canada, I really appreciate what you do, and how you handle every situation. These people have most likely had traumatic events and the stress of trying to get your next meal completely changes your brain. Addiction is an unfortunate result of trauma. Many folks don't realize the implications of trauma and how you can go from a fully operational part of society to just messing up big time in the eyes of society. You are there to give them hope in person and I'm sure that means the absolute world. Hell yeah Knate. Bless you from the west coast of Canada!

I thought I had it bad, as my 30 year old furnace just quit in my house and wifey and I are burning wood in a small wood stove, and using 2 electric heaters and the oven in the kitchen for heat and so the water pipes don't freeze.. Right now I feel blessed w/o measure compared to these poor folks.. Knate you are a good man, not only for the homeless that you help, but for those of us that would like to help others but are not able, you are doing what we'd like to do.. May God continue to bless you Knate and thank you again for what you are doing for "the least of these.." In a nutshell Jesus said "For what you do for the least of these, you do for Me.."
