This helped me so much! I've been crocheting almost a year, and I've always wanted to figure out how to make a perfect ball, because I just couldn't find anything that i could understand, but yours was explained so well!
I am sooo glad you liked my video! There are lots of techniques to create a proper round shape in a crochet ball, but after some long tests, I found out that this was the most simple way to go!
Thank you very much 😘
I understand so much more! Thank you for this tutorial. Now I know how to make perfect shaped balls. Thank you for such great explanation!!! ☺
Ohhh you have no idea how happy I am with your feedback! Thank you so much sweetheart! 😘
Minka has the same crochet hook ❤❤❤ she’s started a ball the other day but gave up. Now she’s excited to try again. She says she trusts you, you always make it very easy 🙏🏾👌🏾💋 thank you for sharing your gift so generously 💋🌺🌸💐🌷🍭
You are both sooo sweet! I am sure she will be able to do it now! Please let me know if it works for her after watching the video. It's my pleasure to help! 😘
I'm new at crochet and I've watched this video several times now. I've been practicing by making little cat toys. I just massage some catnip into the polyfill and add a bell. They love it! Thank you from me for the clear explanation and thank you from my cats for all the toys!
I am so happy that the video was helpful to you! Thank you so much for giving me your valuable feedback! 😘
Thank you! Your video has been the easiest to follow along and the best explanation I have found. I have made hats with fun patterns for my kids, blankets, shawls with designs, but making these I could not wrap my brain around!
Thank you so much for your feedback!!! 😍
Thank you for the explanation. No one explains it this way, and as someone who enjoys understanding the foundation of creating patterns, this is very helpful
Thank you so much my dear! As a teacher, I have to say that this is the best compliment I could receive!
Thank you so much for this video. I've been crocheting since a while and have always been searching for such videos where they give a summary of what they do and don't force us to see the whole video, at the end of which we forget the stitches, and the ball doesn't become a perfect round.❤
I am glad you liked the video and fount it helpful my dear 😘
This was soo helpful. I was struggling to find a proper balance as my balls were getting wonky after 4-5 rounds. Thank you
Oh good to know I helped you, sweetie! You can always count on me on your crochet journey! 😘
This is really helpful as a beginner ! But I do think it's abit fast paced and I kind of gave up . Good job and I hope u listen to my feedback !
I always answer everyone here 😅 the goal of the video is to understand the logics behind crocheting a ball, so people could make it any size the they need. I will create another video teaching the step by step on how to make a crochet ball from scratch, if that’s what you were expecting. Thanks for your message 😘
hi i think i can help you here! in the settings tab on the video you can adjust the speed of the video. tap the gear icon, click "playback speed," and adjust to your pace :)
That's what the slow motion option is for. Top right
Yh I legit can’t follow this
is the video out yet? im a beginner and don't know how to increae or decrease nor all crochet stitches.. so yes i would need a real step by step @@Crocheniacs
I finally understand it !!!
Thank you really much
Glad it helped!
I can’t thank you enough!!!!! Your explanation for changing the size of a Round Ball was Excellent!!!!!!!!! I’ve been sitting here watching video after video on UA-cam for crocheting a Head for a Doll I’m working on….. my original pattern used a different Yarn and the yarn I switched to made the head too big and I needed to find out how to make the head Smaller……..your explanation on “Increasing” a certain amount of rows determines the size of the ball and then you do single crochet rounds according to the number of rounds you did of increasing rounds (which makes sense, and THEN you start your Decreasing rounds……….I’m going to try this right now…….great video and I understood you completely but I’m not a Newbie so maybe that’s why one viewer couldn’t grasp it….. Ty again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰👵🏻
Thank you so so much for your kind feedback! I am super happy you understood my explanation! I wanted to make it as didactic as possible! 😘
Very useful, thank you!!! 💕 💕
Glad it was helpful! 😘
To be honest i've never felt so happy after learning smt, it's have been a year since i started crochet and i assume that this is the most helpful video i have seen since, thank you so much ❤

Awesome! I am so happy to hear that 😍
@ your tutorial was really good and simple to follow I love how sweet you are to all of your followers I will be subscribing right away 🥰🥰
This was sooo fun. I made a ball around a mini tennis ball for my Yorkie and it’s amazing! Thank you!
that's awesome!!! thank you so much for sharing it with me 😘
Wonderful job explaining and I like that you put how much to increase by when to stop increasing and when is a continuous and decreasing inferable and picture form. Thank you
You're very welcome! 😘
Thanks you so much!!! I’ve been trying to make a good ball but find a way to make it HUGE and this video was able to make me understand how to make an amigurumi ball!
Thank you SO MUCH for your kind feedback! I am so glad my explanation was helpful to you! 😘
This was so much fun. I was able to make a perfect ball on my first try. Thanks very much.
You have no idea how much it means to me! Thank you so much for your feedback! 😘
thanks you so much, i finally understand how to make a ball. Mine came out a little wonky but i'll keep practicing. ❤❤❤❤
That's awesome! I am super glad you understand it! You are absolutely right! Just keep practicing now, and you will MASTER it! 😘
The BEST video on how to crochet a 'sphere'! Thank you for this!👍
OMG, thank you SO MUCH! 😘
I immediately subscribed after how you explained this!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! I’ve always struggled understanding this! Now it all makes perfect sense!!! 😊🫶🏽
OMG, thank you so much for such a lovely feedback! And welcome to Crocheniacs 😘
Thank you so much ❤ You explain very clearly, i understood how a sphere is organised so that I could crochet any size i want. You are genious!
Ohhh thank you my dear! I am so happy with your feedback!
Absolutely helpful one, it's making me to create my own amigurumi pattern thanks a bunch ❤
Thank you so much! It was my first time doing a crochet ball and doing decreases, which I also learned from your video. That last part was a bit tricky to get it right, so mine is a bit uneven. After I finished with the needle, a small bump showed there. First time using a yarn needle, too, lol! I could also have used more filling. It seemed enough, but nope. Excellent video, I learned a lot from it!
Oh that's awesome! It makes me SO Happy that you were able to crochet your first ball. Our first attempts are never perfect, just keep in mind that if you were capable of doing it for the first time, that's a win! With time and practice you will improve the other details. I am very happy for you!
Love this video. I have been thinking of making little stress ball keychains for me, my daughter, nieces and nephew and this helps A LOT with trying to figure out the size and proportion of the ball. Can't wait to try this tomorrow and see how they turn out.
Thank you, I am glad you liked my video! Making stress balls sounds great! Hope you have lots of fun with this project 😘
Muchas gracias por tan excelente explicación!!! Abracitos de colores desde Colombia!!! 🤗🤗🤗🇨🇴
😘😘😘
This was so incredibly helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! 😘
thank you, this was so clear! and easy to remember too!
Great! I am happy you liked my explanation 😘
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Just what I have been looking for. New subscriber here🎉
I am so glad that I helped you, my dear! Welcome to Crocheniacs 😘
You're an amazing teacher. Thank you!

@@Crocheniacs Do you have tutorial for making animals hands and legs?

@@Crocheniacs Nice, I will check it out! Thank you very much ☺️
An excellent explanation of the theory behind creating the various sizes of these lovely little crochet balls. Thank you.
Thank you so much 😘
Thanks, its easy to follow 👌🏻♥️
This helped so much. I made a stuffie last year and the head was an oval
that's great to hear 😘
It’s really helpful for me!! Thanks a bunch
Thank you so much for your feedback!!! 😘
Thank you!
This video helped with the concept of creating a ball. The beginning of the video shows increasing by 6 each row, but then the tutorial creates a different size ball. So my first attempt turned out weird.
Hi sweetheart! thanks for your feedback! The goal of this video is to teach the logic and the whole concept behind creating a perfect amigurumi ball of any size, and not teach how to make a ball from scratch. There will be other videos here in the channel where I teach this step by step, so just stay tuned.because I am sure it will be helpful to you 😘
What a fantastic explanation and tutorial. Thank you so much.
ohhhh thank yooou! I am so happy with your feedback 😍
Very nice explanation n technique... Easy to understand n implementation...
Thank you so much! I am glad you like it! 😘
This is really great, thank you!!!
Very helpful, thanks
😘
Perfect explanation, thank you!
Thank you so much!!! 😘
Mine doesn't stay symmetrical.. yes it looks like a ball but its nowhere near as neat or organized and i don't know how to fix it. I'm using red heart yarn and the weight is four with a 3.5 mm hook. i wanted to learn this so i could make pokeballs but its not working. :(
Hey sweetheart! That's so strange! Let me try to understand what's going on so I can help you:
When you count your stitches, are they correct in every round? Did you make sure that the rounds count is correct? So nice that you are willing to crochet Pokeballs! These were my first projects back in 2015! 😍
@@Crocheniacs The stitches came out correctly and I'm using the golden loop trick but instead of the stitches being lined up they are slightly a bit to the right? I'm right handed and its almost as if they're slightly diagonal? Is it that I'm just holding the piece wrong? thank you so much for responding and trying to help btw! I love your work!
It looks like the rows aren't straight but kind bumpy too, along with the slight diagonal.
@@kelrosa23 oh, so it is not like the ball turned asymmetrical, the issue is that the stitches are leaning to the right (Let me know if I got it right).
Are you crocheting with yarn over technique?
And I always answer everyone, it is really a pleasure to help! 🥰
@@Crocheniacs yes they are leaning to the right and I have been doing yarn over is that the mistake I've been doing?
@@kelrosa23 Yarn over is not a mistake, you don't have to worry about it. When it comes to having the stitches aligned, there are a couple of things to consider like crochet tension, the proportion of yarn and crochet hook, but also if you crochet with yarn under technique it tends to twist less to the right.
You are the best this really helped
I am SO glad to hear that 😍
So.. In the first ball, if I did 4sc 1inc, I have to keep doing that until I reach 6 more rounds? Or do I just repeat 36sc until I reach 6 more rounds?
Thank you so much ❤
😘
Mine looks like a hand grenade😂
😂😂😂😂
I noticed for each round that you do an increase you add another Sc.
Are the sc making the ball wider while the increas is making ball longer?
An increase consists of 2 sc together, that's why I was "adding" another st. If you need a more detailed explanation on the stitches, I created this tutorial
ua-cam.com/video/bTUD_8OG24Y/v-deo.htmlsi=KB3kdW04QULCnbFw
Omg I’m only 4:41 into the video and it helped to much I already made a ball and it didn’t come out looking out like a strawberry
Oh, that's great! I am so happy the video helped you! 😘
I dont quite get the decreasing as its not explained too clearly. Do you do the single ones then skip a chain to the next ?
This video is not intended to beginners, that's why I didn't explain how to decrease or increase in details. This other video I teach all the steps very clearly, ua-cam.com/video/bTUD_8OG24Y/v-deo.htmlsi=VlFf2CPvoyw5cCQ1 😘
Thanks from Greece!
😘😘😘
For my future reference
Magic ring 6:38
Inverted magic ring 17:24
I don't understand 5th to 8th round. Do you only repeat the sequence of the 4th round (2sc,1inc), if so ,how do you end up with 24 stitches? if you do 2sc,1inc on 24 stitches you're gona end up with 32 stitches, right?
Or do you just repeat 24 ss for 4 rounds?
Hi!!! You just repeat the amount of stitches. If you have 24 sc in the last round that you increased, you repeat 24 sc in the following rounds. Hope it is clearer now 😘
Could this work with a 5.25 size hook? And if I'm left hand dominant?
Yeah it does! The logics behind the ball that I explained works with any crochet hook size 😘
thank uuu
Hope this video helped you ☺️
Thanks, Im gonna make a sleepy baby plush.
Awesome 😍
Hi maam! Im really sorry to bother you but when i start the magic ring, it has a little point in the centre, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t, would it be okay for me to ask why that may be happening please? Also this is an amazing tutorial, Thank You For Making It!!❣️❣️
hi!!! I am glad you like this tutorial! There will be another video soon here in the channel giving more tips about it. Just stay tuned, I am sure you will like it! 😘
Hello!! What are the like sc and inc for the entire big ball? For example in the start of the big ball had these things “[2 sc, inc]x6 (24)” but what’s the the thing for the entire ball?? Thank you for your time
You can watch this video here, because I explain how to read written patterns. I guess it will be easier for you. 😘 ua-cam.com/video/63X9stDk_gE/v-deo.htmlsi=2URmFxmTXFnSWVaC
if i want to make a jumbo sphere would i start with 6sc magic ring or bigger? how do i know how many stitches to do?
Maybe you could double or triple her pattern
So not slip Stich between rounds and no chain 1?
There is no need for that! I honestly never do that, just crochet continuous rounds!
Hello! Sorry to bother, but I have a big question.
I did 8 rows of multiples of 6, by row 8 I have 48. Then did 8 rows of 48 for the middle part. But when I started decreasing, which the first decreasing row should give me 42, I have 1 stitch left between my 42 stitch and my marker. What did I do wrong? :c
I hope I can get help.
Thank you for the video!!
Hi! You don't bother me, I am happy to answer your question. You probably counted the stitches wrong at some point or made an extra increase. Are you counting stitches after you finish every round? In the beginning, it is completely normal to have an extra stitch or miss one.
Depending on what you're doing, you can simply ignore this mistake and continue practicing 😅 One stitch shouldn't make a big difference 🤭
@@Crocheniacs Oh! I always count, but usually the rows with the single crochet I don't, so I'm sure I did a silly in there. Thank you!!!
@@damncrazyworld It happens to us all 😅 I am happy to help! 😘
Hey❤
How can I make a ball bigger
Do u have another video of bigger ball?
Hi darling, thanks so much for messaging me!
This is the only video I have right now, but following the logics I can explain in this video you can create a ball in any size you want 😘
Can you buy these already made the smaller ones
I am sorry, I didn't understand your question
Do you have a written pattern for it?
Hey sweetie, there's no written pattern because the aim of the video is to teach you how to crochet a ball at any size, so I explain the logic behind it.
@@Crocheniacs ohh ok thanks x
𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 ❤
😘
6 round continues of what
After you finish the increase rounds, you just repeat the rounds with the same amount of single crochet, no increase or decrease, that’s what 6 continuous rounds mean
6 rounds of 36. Or 6 rounds of the last increase round. If last increase created 36stitches, do 6 rounds of 36
I do understand the decrease one but still unable to get the increase crochet
I am not sure if I understood your question. Do you mean you didn't understand the logics behind making the ball or you don't know how to make increases?
If i did 8 inc and 8 cont i have to make 8 dec but how many sc and dec should i start with?
Hey sweetheart! I didn't understand your question, I am sorry. Can you rephrase it? So I can help you 😘
Watch the video again from the beginning. She explains it perfectly.
I don't understand. When you did 2 SC in each stitch and in the next round you said, increase 1, you meant 3 sc in each stitch and so on. In the next round you have 4 sc in the same stitch, right?
Hey sweetie! I also answered you in the other video where I teach beginners how to crochet a ball. Was it clearer for you? Since this video is not intended to teach beginners, the explanation was a bit faster 😘
@@Crocheniacs Thanks again. I got the explanation/your answer on the other video's comment.
I watched this first and commented, then found the link to the beginner video but I think I needed more hand-holding, Thanks for that🥰
in round 5 , did u mean 24sc per round ?
It means 24 single crochet
Thank you ❤
my pleasure 😘
Please help me. I really don't know how do you make it so straight? They are all aligned horizontally and vertically
There are a couple of reasons why it happens, it's hard to explain in a few words here. Maybe I can make a video about this in the future 😍
The math/pattern (stitch number not included):
Phase 1.
1. Start with a magic ring.
2. Make 6 Inc.
3. Next make a round repeating Sc and then INC.- To get desired ball size make more rounds with the number of sc equal to the round number -2.
Example: a ball with 4 rounds has 1 magic ring- 6 INC.- 1 round of repeating Sc, Inc Sc, Inc, and one round of repeating 2Sc Inc 2Sc Inc.
To make it bigger the next round (5) would repeat 3 sc, inch, 3 sc inc, since 5-2=3.
Phase 2.
4. Once desired size is chosen, single crochet a number of rounds equal to the number already done:
Example: If your ball has 4 rounds after phase 1, you will make 4 more rounds for phase 2.
Phase 3.
Finish by making the same number of rounds as the previous phases.
Each round will be the reverse of phase 1, and use decrease instead of increase.
Example: phase 1 ends with 2 Sc, inc- therefore the round for phase 3 will be 2 Sc, dec.
The next round in phase 1 is 1 sc, inc, so your next round is 1sc, Dec.
Next round was 6 inc, so you do 6 Dec.
To get final round, sew shut, preferably with inverted magic ring.
If you do 12 SC in MR instead you'll wind up with a smoother ball
I found your tutorial very helpful but I did find the music a little loud and very distracting.
thank you! Yeah, I changed the background music to barely anything in my most recent videos.
Legenda em português obrigada
Can u pls slow it down its going too fast
You can always control the speed you're watching your videos. In case you have never crocheted a ball before, this video is the best one for you: ua-cam.com/video/bTUD_8OG24Y/v-deo.htmlsi=U-wQ8D_5FJzCiiAr
If it’s too fast I just keep hitting pause
❤
I’m sorry but to create a Different size ball the explanations make no sense. You should make a tutorial for the biggest ball. And you should explain what you’re doing instead of just saying the number 2
as a beginner this tutorial was hard to follow🙁
This tutorial is not for complete beginners! If you want to learn how to crochet an amigurumi ball from scratch, there is a video tutorial here for that in the channel ua-cam.com/video/bTUD_8OG24Y/v-deo.htmlsi=GPIvhekE9bwLcvNO 😘 I hope it helps you 😊
🤦♀️ well I know you can do it the fact is I want to do it..😂 And you took off like the roadrunner..😭 you're doing one stitch and just stopping the video and then you're done..🤷♀️ And the decreasing left me in the dark... 🫥
Hi! If you want to learn how to crochet an amigurumi ball from scratch and you want a slow-paced video, than this is the right one for you: ua-cam.com/video/bTUD_8OG24Y/v-deo.htmlsi=VDWIneC56HhJ5KVA
Not so helpful to a beginning crocheter so ya find another video
Yes, indeed this is not for beginners! If you want to learn how to crochet a ball from scratch there is another video about it.
